Gu Xiaotian looked at Gu Anran quietly, and secretly vowed in his heart: "Mommy, I will grow up quickly and protect you."
The hospital room was a private room, so Gu Xiaotian and Yu Hui made do with one of the beds for the night.
The next morning, the warm sunshine chased away all the bad things, and everything started anew.
Gu Anran opened her eyes heavily and stared at the scene in front of her for a few seconds.
"Isn't she at the bar?"
"How did you end up in the hospital?"
Hearing the noise, Yu Hui hurriedly got out of bed and put on her shoes, then touched her forehead: "You're awake?"
Would you like some water?
Gu Anran smiled slightly, her voice hoarse, and said, "Okay."
She was really thirsty; she hadn't had a drop of water since drinking so much alcohol yesterday.
Yu Hui poured her a glass of warm water, which Gu Anran picked up and drank in one gulp. She drank three glasses before she felt better.
She put down her cup, leaned against the headboard, rubbed her temples, and asked softly, "How did I get to the hospital?"
She recalled the scene from yesterday, feeling both angry and scared.
Speaking of this, Yu Hui was furious. She glared at her and said fiercely, "Are you stupid?"

Yu Hui, exasperated, poked Gu Anran twice on the forehead.
Gu Xiaotian had just woken up when he heard Yu Hui scolding his mother. The little boy rubbed his eyes with a pained look and whispered, "Aunt Yu Hui, don't blame Mommy. She didn't mean it."
"She must have her own reasons."
Yu Hui deliberately looked at Gu Anran angrily and said, "Let's see if she dares to be so reckless again."
Gu Anran knew that Yu Hui was just saying those hurtful things because she was worried about her. She tugged at Yu Hui's hand and pleaded, "I promise I won't do it again. I'll definitely tell you first if anything happens."
Yu Hui was amused and said with a smile, "You're so good at talking. It's good that you know."
She frowned and looked at her with concern: "Don't be so reckless next time. If the CEO hadn't saved you last night, have you thought about what would have happened to you now?"
Gu Anran remained silent. Indeed, if she hadn't met Ye Lichuan yesterday, she would have definitely ended up in a tragic situation.
Gu Anran reached out and hugged Yu Hui and Gu Xiaotian, saying happily, "It won't happen again. I'm sorry for making you worry."
"In the future, whatever happens, I will think of a safe way to prevent such a thing from happening again."
Suddenly there was a knock on the ward door. Yu Hui opened the door, and the doctor came in to examine Gu Anran.
The doctor solemnly advised, "As a woman, you should drink less alcohol in the future. Safety comes first."
Gu Anran nodded shyly and assured him, "Okay, I understand. Thank you, doctor."
"Alright, that's all. Let the family handle the discharge procedures. Get some sleep."
Yu Hui saw the doctor off and politely said, "Thank you, doctor. I'll go now."
The doctor turned around and advised, "Eat more light food, drink more water, and eat less greasy food recently."
Gu Anran nodded obediently and said, "Okay, thank you."
After completing the discharge procedures, Yu Hui drove Gu Anran and her son home.
Yu Hui stared at Gu Anran as she drove, seemingly wanting to say something but holding back.
Gu Anran glanced at her and said with a smile, "Just say what you want to say, don't make that face."
Yu Hui asked with a smile and curiosity, "How are you going to thank the president?"
"So, under those circumstances, nothing happened between you two?"
Gu Anran blushed awkwardly and replied shyly, "What could have happened? Nothing happened."
Recalling fragments of her memory, she felt too ashamed to face Ye Lichuan.
Gu Xiaotian hurriedly crawled over and chimed in, "Mommy, actually, Uncle Handsome is a really nice guy. Why don't you consider him?"
Gu Anran rolled her eyes at them speechlessly: "What are you two doing?"
Yu Hui and Gu Xiaotian exchanged a smile and said in unison, "We hope you can be happy."
When I got home, the air felt exceptionally fresh.
Yu Hui helped Gu Anran get sick leave.
Gu Anran rested for two days and then took the contract to the company to report for duty.
As soon as she entered the company, she saw her colleagues whispering to each other, all looking at her with disdain.
She didn't know what she had done to offend them.
She took the contract to her supervisor and knocked on the office door.
All that could be heard from inside was a shout: "Come in!"
Gu Anran carefully placed the contract on the table and looked at him respectfully: "Manager, this is the contract you gave me. It's signed."
Ren Liang picked up the contract in disbelief and flipped through it. Sure enough, Bai Shaojie had signed it.
Ren Liang squinted and asked with a smile, "Little Gu, good job, but I don't know how you signed in?"
"Several colleagues have failed before you, so you can share your experience with them."
The manager walked out of the office with the contract and announced loudly, "Everyone, stop for a second. I have some good news to tell you all. Gu Anran has successfully signed a contract with Young Master Bai."
"Everyone applauded to express their congratulations."
Few colleagues applauded. One female colleague deliberately mocked, "I heard that Young Master Bai is a playboy. There are hardly any of the women who went to sign contracts who haven't slept with him."
Upon hearing this, Gu Anran frowned unhappily and retorted angrily, "You said there aren't many, then you'll say there aren't any. I'm one of those very few people."
Her colleagues were all talking at once, saying all sorts of things, and Gu Anran's face grew increasingly grim. She realized that they were deliberately targeting her.
Ye Lichuan was inspecting the floors when he overheard the design department discussing Gu Anran.
