The supervisor looked at Ye Lichuan in shock, wondering how the president knew.
"Don't think I don't know about your underhanded tactics. But you should stop having any improper thoughts."
The office was completely silent, with no one daring to speak. The assistant stood beside the president, wiping away sweat.
After a thorough cleanup, Ye Lichuan restored the long-lost tranquility to the office area.
Ye Lichuan glanced at Gu Anran expressionlessly and said coldly, "Come to my office."
Gu Anran felt certain she was doomed, and thought to herself, "Is Ye Lichuan going to settle scores later?"
She muttered to herself, "Can I not go?"
Ye Lichuan turned to look at her in confusion and asked, "What did you say?"
Gu Anran replied with a smile, "Ah, it's okay, I'll go right away."
Gu Anran's heart was shattered into pieces.
She followed Ye Lichuan to the office with heavy steps.
Ye Lichuan sat in the chair, staring at the woman in front of him. He couldn't see anything special about Gu Anran, and he couldn't understand why he had such poor self-control when he was around her.
Gu Anran felt a chill run down her spine under Ye Lichuan's gaze. She remained silent, not daring to utter a sound, waiting for Ye Lichuan's judgment.
All I heard was, "Sit down."
Gu Anran looked at him in surprise and said in confusion, "Ah, oh, okay, thank you, President."
"Tell me, what happened to you yesterday?"
Gu Anran didn't dare to look up. Recalling yesterday's scene, she lowered her head and stammered, "Well, the supervisor asked me to go and sign a contract with Bai Shaojie. I didn't expect him to be so despicable and shameless."
"They tampered with the drink while I was in the restroom."

She looked up at Ye Lichuan earnestly and explained, "President, thank you for yesterday. If it weren't for you, the consequences might have been..."
Ye Lichuan glanced at her and said unhappily, "Good to know."
"I've seen stupid people, but I've never seen anyone as stupid as you."
"I don't want to either," Gu Anran muttered softly.
"President, if it's convenient for you, I'd like to treat you to a meal as a way of expressing my gratitude."
Just as Ye Lichuan was about to speak, he heard his assistant knock on the door.
Ye Lichuan impatiently called out, "Come in."
"President, Miss Liu Xinrou is here. She says she needs to see you."
Ye Lichuan rubbed his handsome forehead and said irritably, "Just say I'm not here."
Liu Xinrou, who was standing outside the door, got anxious when she heard this and pushed the door open to come in. When she saw that Gu Anran was also there, she instantly became furious.
She glared at Gu Anran with a sinister look, then smiled sweetly and walked up to Ye Lichuan, saying shyly, "Ye, I just missed you, so I came to have dinner with you."
She gracefully stood in front of Ye Lichuan and said gently, "Don't always keep me at arm's length."
Gu Anran felt a churning in her stomach, but she didn't dare show it too obviously.
She smiled slightly, and, as if trying to slip away, said meaningfully, "President, you're busy, I'll be going now."
Liu Xinrou glared at Gu Anran, thinking smugly, "You're smart to know what's good for you, otherwise you'd be in trouble."
Ye Lichuan looked at Gu Anran, who was trying to escape. He thought it wouldn't be so easy for her to run away, and said leisurely, "Wait, didn't you just say you wanted to eat?"
"Perfect timing, let's do it together."
"Ugh, Gu Anran felt like she'd swallowed a fly."
Gu Anran slapped her forehead, looking like she was kicking herself. She looked at Ye Lichuan with pleading eyes and said, "Why did you have to say you were treating us to dinner? She gets indigestion just looking at Liu Xinrou."
She smiled and stammered, "That's not a good idea. How about we do it another day? I won't disturb your date with Miss Liu."
Ye Lichuan twirled his pen in his hand, looking at her with displeasure and frowning, "What, you want to go back on your word now?"
"You don't want to thank me?"
Gu Anran smiled helplessly and said obsequiously, "How could that be? The president's word is law."
Seeing how well Ye Lichuan treated Gu Anran, Liu Xinrou was incredibly jealous.
She smiled broadly, but inwardly she cursed Gu Anran viciously, thinking, "That damned bitch, she's got a really good life, she's survived several times. This time when she comes back, I'll make sure she doesn't leave alive."
"What's even more infuriating is that Ye Lichuan is treating her so well. Has he discovered something?"
She immediately denied it, saying it was impossible; if something had been discovered, things wouldn't be like this.
She patted her chest, reassuring herself, "I must be overthinking it."
She stood shyly beside Ye Lichuan, and with the air of a vice president's wife, she gritted her teeth and said to Gu Anran, "Then I'll have to trouble Miss Gu to spend the money."
She glared at Gu Anran with a sinister look, secretly cursing in her heart, "This jinx, he's really lucky."
Liu Xinrou tried to take Ye Lichuan's arm, but Ye Lichuan subtly pushed her away.
She was so angry she wanted to stomp her feet, but afraid that Gu Anran would laugh at her, she deliberately pretended to be nonchalant.
Gu Anran rolled her eyes speechlessly, looking at her and thinking, "Do you think everyone is like you, using their body to get ahead?"
They went to a well-known Western restaurant in the city. Although Gu Anran wasn't very wealthy, she had won many awards abroad and earned a considerable amount of money. She could afford to treat everyone to a meal.
She returned to China to investigate her own affairs and her mother's affairs. She felt that everything was too coincidental, and she suspected Liu Xinrou, but she had no evidence.
