Chapter 125 Argument (shuhaige.net)

Gu Xiaotian shook off her hand, "I'm not going back, don't worry about me!" His voice was much louder, and he even turned back to look at Xiaoling after he finished speaking.

Unexpectedly, Gu Anran stared at him in disbelief at his reaction. "What did you say? Say it again!"

Gu Xiaotian lowered his head and didn't speak. Seeing that the atmosphere was not right, Ye Lichuan quickly stepped forward to mediate. Gu Anran, who felt wronged, stood aside with her lips tightly pursed, while Gu Xiaotian pulled the little girl and gently comforted her.

The distant bells rang again. She glanced down at the time; it was already a new year. The snow began to fall again, and the cold wind stung her face, but it couldn't compare to the heartache she felt. Afraid that Xiaotian would get cold, she wanted to go over and hold him in her arms.

But seeing his expressionless face, Gu Anran held back. She took a deep breath, leaned against the wall behind her, breathed out a sigh of relief, rubbed her stiff hands, and walked up to Xiao Tian again.

"I'll ask you one more time, are you coming back with me or not?"

Gu Xiaotian's expression softened slightly, but seeing the girl beside him looking at him expectantly, he shook his head again, "I'm not going back!"

This time, Gu Anran didn't hesitate. She grabbed his hand and dragged him outside. The two of them fell down in the snow. Ye Lichuan rushed over and helped them up. After they stood up, Gu Anran pushed him away and, ignoring Xiao Tian's struggles, dragged him outside.

"Waaah, Auntie, don't be angry, please let go of Brother Xiaotian." The little girl was frightened by her appearance and hurriedly ran in front of Gu Anran to stop her.

"It's all my fault. I made Brother Xiaotian come to keep me company. I'm sorry." Tears streamed down her cheeks, mingling with the glistening snow.

"Xiaoling, don't beg her, you did nothing wrong." Gu Xiaotian kept hitting Gu Anran, trying to get her to let go of him.

Gu Anran was determined to take Gu Xiaotian away. No matter what she said, it wouldn't make a difference. She glanced at the girl in front of her, showed no mercy, and pulled hard. Gu Xiaotian didn't notice her footing and tripped and fell to the ground.

The little girl, startled, cried even louder, "Auntie, Brother Xiaotian knows he was wrong, Brother Xiaotian, please apologize to Auntie quickly."

Both of them looked at Gu Xiaotian at the same time. Although Gu Anran still appeared indifferent on the surface, she was uneasy inside. She would forgive him as long as he apologized and admitted his mistake.

However, Xiao Tian disappointed her. Not only did he say he was right, but he also turned around and said that his mother was wrong. His struggles became more and more violent. Gu Anran felt a sudden pain in her chest, couldn't breathe, and her vision went white. She almost fell backward, but luckily she managed to keep her balance.

Looking at Ye Lichuan approaching, she gave a desolate smile. "Even you think it's my fault?"

Ye Lichuan quickly stopped and shook his head, sensing that something was wrong with her. He tried to signal to Xiaotian with his eyes, but Xiaotian also felt that his mother was being unreasonable and was determined not to compromise.

Her hand, hanging by her side, clenched into a fist, and blood began to seep from the skin of her palm, which was pierced by her nails. Gu Anran's eyes were already somewhat crazed. "You're leaving today whether you like it or not!"

After speaking, she walked straight ahead, and Gu Xiaotian stumbled after her. The girl behind her followed, but the thick snow hindered her progress. She could only cry and call out from behind, "Brother Xiaotian!"

Gu Xiaotian turned to look at the thin figure, then turned back to look at his mother. With a determined heart, he grabbed her hand and bit it hard. Gu Anran groaned and subconsciously let go.

Once freed, Gu Xiaotian quickly ran over and pulled the little girl up, rubbing her hands to warm them up. "Xiaoling, don't cry, I'm fine."

When he was gentle, he was just like Ye Lichuan. The little girl was coaxed by him and gradually stopped crying. The two small voices nestled together as she stood there looking at the three people opposite her.

For a moment, she felt abandoned. Had she really done something wrong? She began to doubt herself, and the insults her model mother had hurled at her that morning flashed through her mind again.

The scene then shifts to the day she gave birth to Gu Xiaotian. She heard the crying when she lost consciousness. One-year-old Xiaotian could walk and always followed behind her. Every time she went to work, she would hold him and not let him leave.

Two-year-old Xiaotian has become obedient and sensible. He will stand at the door to greet her and call her "Mom" in a soft, sweet voice.

Laughter, crying, and other noises rang out, piercing her head and causing a sharp pain. She could faintly hear Ye Lichuan calling her name. After an unknown amount of time, the sounds finally disappeared. She looked up and saw Ye Lichuan looking at her with concern.

"Is anything bothering you? It's normal for kids to be naughty, don't get angry with him."

"Get out of my way. If you block my way, we'll separate from today."

Ye Lichuan's eyes widened suddenly as he looked at her in surprise. "Do you know what you're saying? Don't be angry, we can talk about it when we get back." His tone was flustered, but Gu Anran didn't notice.

At this moment, she was only thinking about how to take Gu Xiaotian away. Before Ye Lichuan could react, she quickly came to Gu Xiaotian's side and tried to take him away.

Because of the vigorous struggle, Gu Xiaotian's wrists had turned blue. Gu Anran saw this but did not stop. She pulled him toward the door.

"You're a bad mother, I don't want a mother, I don't want you anymore." Even the usually stubborn Gu Xiaotian cried, saying things that were meant to provoke her.

"Slap!" A crisp slap landed on Gu Xiaotian's face. The child's skin was delicate and fair, and in just an instant, his face became red and swollen.

Gu Anran, panting heavily, looked at him. The tears she had been holding back could no longer be contained. She saw the hatred in her son's eyes. She turned her face away, unable to look at her son anymore, but her steps did not stop. She pulled her son out of the orphanage.

This time, Gu Xiaotian did not resist, but just kept sobbing, and Xiaoling, who had chased after him, also cried.

She pulled her son into the car, ignoring the tears on his face, and fastened his seatbelt. Then, she stepped on the gas, and the car sped home.

She rolled down the car window to get some fresh air, but was worried that Xiao Tian would catch a cold. Sobbing came from beside her. Gu Anran handed him a tissue, but he didn't take it and turned to look out the window.

Looking at his slightly bluish face, she turned the temperature up a bit more. Before long, she felt dizzy and had to take out her phone to call a designated driver.

The driver, who had rushed over, was still chilly. He chuckled awkwardly at the strange-looking mother and son. "It's so cold outside. Did you go to a relative's house for dinner and just got back?"

"No." Gu Anran supported her heavy head with her hand, her tone indifferent.

The driver didn't know what to say and could only remain silent. The car arrived at the door in this strange environment. Gu Xiaotian ignored the people behind him, went in, and slammed the door shut.
