Chapter 172 Throwing Trash

Throwing trash at the door won't land you in jail, of course. The police staked out the place all night, caught a few young men, took them back to the station for a brief talking-to, and then left.

Upon learning of this, Song Yurong felt indignant, believing that the police were deliberately targeting her. She stormed to the police station, but her heart sank when she saw the three big characters for "police station".

If she were detained because of this, wouldn't that be a huge loss? Having figured it out, Song Yurong slunk home.

With the garbage issue resolved, Song Yurong thought he was all set. However, when she woke up the next day, she found the doorway piled high with trash again. Otherwise, she wouldn't have dared to cause a scene at the police station, but she certainly dared to call the police.

The same police officers who received the report yesterday left after a simple registration. In the early hours of the morning, they arrested a few more people, gave them a warning, and then released them.

The same procedure was followed four times in a week. The police had other things to do, and coincidentally, there had been a recent increase in cases, so this small matter had to be put aside for the time being.

"What are you doing? I've complained several times already. Are you supposed to be serving the people? Are you taking our money and not doing anything?"

After dialing the number again, Song Yurong started cursing at the dispatcher. Fearing that it would delay other police calls, the dispatcher could only give a brief reply and then hang up.

Not daring to cause trouble at the police station, and with her doorstep surrounded by garbage every day, Song Yurong had no choice but to move away and temporarily rent elsewhere.

However, netizens are very resourceful and did not intend to let her off the hook. After learning that she had moved to her old home, they immediately investigated and found that Song Yurong's door was piled with garbage again a couple of days later.

With no other option, she had to move again and live a life of hiding.

"Song Yurong was forced to move again."

When Ye Lichuan came home from get off work, he walked to the sofa, bent down, and hugged her.

Gu Anran, who was listening to children's songs, took out an old cassette tape and leaned back into his arms.

"She brought this upon herself, and she deserves her fate." She hasn't investigated her father's death thoroughly, so there's nothing that can be done about it. We'll investigate after she gives birth to their healthy third child.

Ye Lichuan was relieved to see that she didn't seem to care too much. He sat down next to her, and another month passed in the blink of an eye. Her belly began to show, and it began to curve slightly. As usual, he bent down to listen to the sound.

Stroking the fluffy head, Gu Anran smiled gently. Gu Xiaotian came downstairs, and the family of three moved to the sofa to chat.

"Would you like to gain some experience at the company?" Ye Lichuan placed a piece of meat into Gu Xiaotian's bowl.

Gu Xiaotian bit his chopsticks and thought for a while before shaking his head. He was working on an experiment, but the progress was stalled. He decided to wait until he finished it before discussing it further. Ye Lichuan didn't force her and took a bowl to serve Gu Anran a bowl of soup.

Since becoming pregnant, she has been drinking a variety of soups, from quail soup to fish soup. Although she hasn't experienced morning sickness, she's gotten a bit tired of them after drinking them for so long.

"Aunt Wu, could you please change my porridge to something lighter tomorrow?"

Aunt Wu agreed and brought over a few plums and some spicy snacks. Everyone says that sour foods indicate a boy and spicy foods indicate a girl, but she likes to eat both. If she hadn't had a prenatal checkup, she would have thought she was carrying twins.

That evening, she chatted with Ye Lichuan about the branch office. He had transferred several elites from headquarters and recently finalized a project, so he might be a bit busy for a while.

"Come to think of it, I've never been to the company. You're not keeping a mistress, are you?"

Ye Lichuan looked at her amusedly and pinched her increasingly round cheeks. "If you're worried, you're welcome to come and check up on me anytime, but you need to take care of yourself."

Gu Anran was just joking. She could feel his feelings for her, and they needed to trust each other. With Ye Lichuan's help, she went to the bathroom for a quick shower.

A white moon hung in the sky, and the two people on the large bed slept in each other's arms. Even in their dreams, their hands were intertwined on her stomach.

Perhaps because of her pregnancy, Gu Anran has recently felt that her inspiration for children's clothing is like a rushing river. As long as there is a piece of paper in front of her, she can design different styles and designs of children's clothing without thinking.

"Madam, the flowers outside are blooming, would you like to go and see them?"

She stretched, walked to the window, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. The faint fragrance of flowers filled her nose, making her feel refreshed. "Let's go, Aunt Wu, you're quite good at growing flowers." She had thought that many of the transplanted flowers would wither, but to her surprise, only a few failed to survive.

Aunt Wu smiled shyly, "Madam, you flatter me."

After walking around the garden, she felt a little tired and was about to go back when someone delivered mail.

"Madam, this is your letter." She took it and looked at the neat but childish handwriting. She already guessed who had sent it.

As expected, when she opened it, it was from the small village where she had sent clothes before. She didn't know where they got the address, but they sent a thank-you letter.

The children are still in their innocent childhood and can't say many fancy words. All they have are sincere thanks. She touched the dense signatures on the paper, and a warm feeling flowed from her fingertips into her heart.

From the garden to her studio, she picked up her pen again and began designing. Aunt Wu knew how serious she was when she worked, so she even slowed her pace when she went upstairs to clean.

She didn't leave the studio until sunset. She had already sent the design to the factory, and a new batch of clothes would arrive soon. Feeling extremely satisfied, Gu Anran went to Xiaotian's room, went to the dressing room to look at his clothes, and then took a few pieces.

Gu Xiaotian, who had just returned from outside, was stunned when he saw that most of his clothes were missing while he was changing. "Mom, I think I've lost a few pieces of clothing."

"I helped you move some clothes out; I estimate a new batch of clothes will arrive in three days."

Gu Xiaotian unconditionally supports his mother's hobby of design, but even if he changes his clothes every day, he might not be able to finish changing them all. It seems he'll have to change his clothes twice a day.

Three days later, the clothes arrived as expected. Gu Anran was sitting on the sofa sorting the clothes. In addition to Xiaotian's clothes, she also designed a few pieces for Yunxin's son. The rest were clothes to be donated to the mountainous areas.

Having received the news long ago, Jia Yunxin quickly opened the package after receiving it. Looking at the design and quality of the clothes, she felt once again that meeting Gu Anran was the right thing to do. Her son no longer needed to buy clothes, and even she wanted to wear the designs of these clothes, but unfortunately, she was not Xiao Mu.

"Do you think this looks good?"

Jia Yunxin excitedly carried Xiao Mu to Huo Ge, kissed her precious son Huo Ge, and then looked at the clothes, nodding in satisfaction. As expected of Gu Anran.
