Chapter 253 Investigation

With that first step, the rest followed naturally. Everyone changed out of the class uniforms that Anran had specially designed for them, and then took a group photo together. This was their first group photo since the start of the semester, and they all cherished it immensely.

Before we knew it, the end of the year was approaching.

Since returning from the holiday resort, the class group chat has become increasingly lively, with people actively posting messages every day. The atmosphere is filled with the joy of the Lunar New Year.

However, not everyone is happy about the Chinese New Year, such as Xiaoqing's classmates.

Xiaoqing has several classmates whose parents work in other cities and couldn't come back for the Spring Festival, so she could only celebrate with them online. In the midst of the joyful and lively atmosphere, this made her seem somewhat out of place, but it also aroused people's sympathy.

Xiao Qing was one of those who was overflowing with compassion. She had lived in a loving family since she was a child, and her father, mother and brother all doted on her like a precious jewel.

Perhaps before, Xiao Qing wouldn't have taken these things to heart. After all, the world is so big, and there are many more people who can't go home for the New Year. But since everyone's relationship has become more harmonious over this period of time, Xiao Qing has wanted to do everything she can to help others.

In addition, the deep sadness of those students who stayed at home and could not reunite with their parents can be seen in the words between the lines in the class group.

This strengthened Xiao Qing's resolve to help them, but she didn't know where to begin. It was unrealistic to send all the parents back one by one, so she told Huo Siyun and Jia Siying about her troubles.

Jia Siying shared the same thoughts as Xiao Qing; she also sympathized with those classmates who couldn't reunite with their families for the New Year. Huo Siyun, on the other hand, seemed very rational.

He agreed to work with Xiao Qing to find a solution, not out of pity, but simply because it was something Xiao Qing wanted to do, and he wanted to fulfill all of her requests as much as possible.

After all, boys are rational. They are not the only ones living difficult lives in the world; there are many others we haven't seen.

"We can spend the New Year together." As expected of a top student, Jia Siying came up with this suggestion after thinking for a while, which was the best idea.

This suggestion was the best of all the ideas they could think of, but it was a bit troublesome to implement. There were more than 30 students in their class, and it was quite difficult to gather them all together. So they shared the idea in the class group and wanted to get the opinions of the other students.

Unexpectedly, their idea was met with unanimous approval from the other classmates. After all, they had become like a big family during this time, and they didn't want anyone to be unhappy during the New Year.

Thus, their idea was affirmed, and then came the implementation phase.

Each student nervously asked their parents for their opinion. Unexpectedly, their anxiety was nothing to their parents; after all, it didn't matter where they celebrated the New Year, as long as the whole family could be together.

Almost all the parents reached a consensus, and amidst the cheers of the students, the end of the year finally arrived.

The gathering was once again held at Xia Qing's vacation villa. After all, it was fully equipped, with a hot spring and enough rooms for the students to stay.

As the hosts, Xiao Qing, An Ran, Li Chuan, and Xiao Tian arrived at the hot spring villa early to prepare the New Year's Eve dinner and the food they wanted to eat.

As the four of them busily prepared, the laughter of students and parents began to echo from the doorway. Li Chuan immediately put down what he was doing and invited the students and parents in one by one.

After the students and their parents arrived one after another, they began to discuss what to eat for the New Year's Eve dinner.

Several parents even brought local specialties from their hometowns for the students to try. They, of course, welcomed everyone.

The children also appeared exceptionally well-behaved in front of everyone. Someone started it, and the parents sat to one side chatting and laughing, leaving a bunch of children there to prepare the ingredients.

So, the lively back garden split into three groups: one group, led by Xiao Qing and Huo Siyun, was preparing ingredients; another group consisted of the mothers chatting and laughing; and the third group was the fathers discussing their work.

Almost everyone present knew Li Chuan's status, so the discussion centered around him. But this put Li Chuan in a difficult position.

Li Chuan kept urinating while dealing with the situation. He had to keep an eye on Xiao Qing's movements, as she was the apple of his eye and had never done such rough work before. He was afraid she would hurt herself.

If it weren't for the fact that the people surrounding him were Xiao Qing's father, he would have even asked the bodyguards at the door to throw them out.

An Ran, on the other hand, seemed quite adept at it. He moved among the wives, finding no topic uninteresting in conversation; they chatted about gossip, makeup, and nails.

Of course, as the mothers chatted, the conversation would inevitably turn back to their pride and their children. Then they would ask Xia Qing and her family some friendly questions while they were preparing the ingredients.

Anran was very pleased that Xiaoqing was now able to integrate into their food preparation efforts. After all, at home, if Xiaoqing wanted to drink water, her father would rush to pour it for her.

Meanwhile, Xiao Qing, who was busy at work, was also very happy. This was her most independent day yet. Although she was doing unskilled work, she felt fulfilled.

An Ran brought her two dogs with her. The two dogs darted back and forth among the three groups of people, sniffing here and there, looking quite comfortable.

After nearly an hour of busy work, the students finally finished their preparations. Since they were still high school students, and although they had done it a few times before, their mothers were still worried and entrusted such an important New Year's Eve dinner to the students.

So several young mothers volunteered to take charge of the cooking.

And just like that, the students who were in the spotlight instantly went back behind the scenes. The mothers were incredibly efficient, and since the students had already prepared the dishes, a feast was ready in no time.

The sensible children set the table, placed chopsticks and spoons, and served the dishes. Everyone sat around the table and happily ate their New Year's Eve dinner.

After the New Year's Eve dinner, many students' parents reached an agreement, further strengthening their already harmonious relationship.
