Chapter 259 Dispute

"It's okay, I don't care at all. There's plenty of time for him to get to know me eventually," the student council president retorted without holding back.

Then she winked at Xiao Qing, who was still feeling awkward. When Xiao Qing heard the student council president say that, her embarrassment disappeared instantly. Of course, the oblivious Xiao Qing didn't notice the spark between Huo Siyun and the student council president at all, and smiled and said hello to the student council president.

This made Huo Siyun, who was sitting opposite her, frown. She then picked up Xiao Qing in her arms, put her in a wheelchair, and pushed her out of the infirmary.

Xiao Qing was given special permission by his teacher to go home early to rest because he had injured his foot. Xiao Qing originally wanted to tell the teacher that he could leave school on time like the other students, but the teacher strongly objected.

After all, Xiao Qing's leg is going to be used on the international stage in the future. If her leg is damaged in the slightest, it will be a loss for the country and an even greater loss for their school. Therefore, the teacher ordered Huo Siyun to take Xiao Qing home to rest as soon as possible.

So Huo Siyun immediately took Xiao Qing home.

Just as they were about to leave the school gate, the student council president ran towards them, holding a cup of milk tea. Seeing the president's beaming face, Huo Siyun subtly pushed Xiao Qing to change their route.

Just when Huo Siyun thought he had shaken off the student council president who was running towards him, a figure suddenly emerged from the bushes with slicked-back hair. Upon closer inspection, it was none other than the student council president.

"Are you going home so early? Here's the milk tea I bought for you." Xiao Qing didn't really want to accept it, since she wasn't familiar with the student council president and it wouldn't be appropriate to accept something from someone else without asking.

“It was our school’s fault. Consider this milk tea as my apology on her behalf. Please don’t be angry anymore.” The student council president saw that Xiao Qing was about to refuse, so before Xiao Qing could speak, he said another sentence.

After the student council president said that, Xiaoqing felt too embarrassed to refuse, so she accepted the milk tea from her hand. It happened to be her favorite strawberry milk tea.

After she thanked the student council president generously, Huo Siyun couldn't stand it anymore and decided to push Xiao Qing home without paying any attention to the student council president.

“I should be able to go and apologize, but I really can’t get away today. Could you please leave your address? I’ll come to apologize in person later.”

When Huo Siyun heard that the student council president wanted to know her home address, she readily gave him her home address, but the student council president stopped her.

"I'm going to Xiao Qing's house to apologize in person. Why are you telling me where your house is?" Huo Siyun smiled smugly and then said to him.

"Xiao Qing and I live together. This is our address. Go if you want, or don't." After saying this, she turned and left without looking back, leaving the student council president standing there bewildered.

After they returned home, neither of them mentioned the chairman's existence. Huo Siyun felt he didn't want such a powerful name to appear at his future mother-in-law's house.

Xiao Qing felt that she and the president had only met today and hadn't known each other for very long, so there was no need to tell her mother about it.

As soon as An Ran saw that Xiao Qing was being pushed back, she immediately dropped all the design drafts in her hands and ran towards Xiao Qing.

"What happened? Didn't you go to participate in the 1500-meter race? How did you fall and hurt your leg?" An Ran looked at Xiao Qing's injury with a worried expression.

"Did you see a doctor? What did the doctor say? Will it leave any lasting effects?" An Ran asked a series of questions.

"I've already seen a doctor. The doctor said it's nothing serious, no bones are broken, just a scraped skin. She just needs to rest at home for a couple of days." Huo Siyun stood behind Xiao Qing and calmly explained Xiao Qing's injury to An Ran.

Upon hearing that there were no superiors to hold her back and that she could recover slowly, An Ran felt relieved and then pushed Xiao Qing to the restaurant for a meal.

During the meal, An Ran complained that Huo Siyun was making a mountain out of a molehill. It was just a minor injury, yet she had to use a wheelchair. Anyone who didn't know better would think her daughter's leg was broken.

If this gets out, what will become of her daughter's reputation?

On her way home from school, Xiaoqing had been enduring the disapproving looks from others. When she saw her mother siding with her, she felt wronged and complained to her mother.

"That's right, that's right. I was only slightly injured. Huo Siyun could have easily helped me back and gotten me a wheelchair. I've been subjected to strange looks from people the whole way here." Xiao Qing said, pouting as if she was about to cry.

Seeing Xiao Qing so aggrieved, An Ran became even more determined to let him walk on his own and not use a wheelchair. An Ran had thought that Huo Siyun would object when he said this, but Huo Siyun remained calm and said nothing, simply continuing to eat the food in her bowl.

A short while later, Li Chuan returned from outside. Just as he was about to ask Xiao Qing how she had performed at the sports meet, he suddenly saw San Bao sitting in a wheelchair. He dropped his briefcase and rushed towards Xiao Qing.

"Baby, what happened to you? Does it hurt?" Li Chuan squatted down, kneeling on one knee, and examined Xiao Qing's injury. When he saw traces of blood around the wound, he even blew on it.

Xiao Qing has always been terrified of pain. Li Chuan couldn't imagine how much pain he must have felt when he was injured. He must have been in excruciating pain. The thought made Li Chuan feel even more guilty. Why hadn't he hired a bodyguard to protect his daughter?
