Chapter 75 Miniature Cameras

Gu Anran frowned slightly and opened her phone. Someone actually dared to target her like this; it was undoubtedly a well-planned scheme to wipe her out completely.

"You underestimate your sister Ran. I'll search every nook and cranny to find you." After a thorough search, Gu Anran quickly narrowed down the possibilities for her opponent.

Judging from her online profile, she seems to have some talent; she's the CEO of a jade company and is known as Sister Amin in business circles. Upon seeing this, Gu Anran couldn't help but laugh.

"How dare you call me 'sister'? You have such a grand title, yet you do such despicable things behind my back." Gu Anran shook her head. This time, she would teach this Sister Amin how to do business!

The car quickly stopped in front of her house. After paying, Gu Anran walked home while making a phone call, "Where is Gu Xiaotian? Oh, and I need to ask you for a favor. Could you help me look into something..."

To ensure everything goes smoothly, Gu Anran's two most pressing problems are her opponent and her son, Gu Xiaotian. She can't very well let Gu Xiaotian follow her around.

However, Gu Anran knew the answer was yes as soon as she opened the door.

"Mom, you're finally back!" Gu Xiaotian ran happily towards Gu Anran, while Gu Anran stood there, unable to smile.

This is completely different from what I imagined. How could this little guy be at home? Before I could even ask why, from the moment he saw Gu Anran, Gu Xiaotian followed her around like a sticky rice dumpling, asking her all sorts of questions.

"Mommy, Mommy..."

Gu Anran instantly calmed down. The information her assistant had looked up had been sent to her phone. Gu Anran needed to leave. Looking at Gu Xiaotian's happy little face, Gu Anran felt a little reluctant.

"Gu Xiaotian, you...you promise Mom you'll play by yourself for a while, okay? I'll have Xiao Zhou keep you company later."

Xiao Zhou is Gu Anran's assistant, and she has recently started to take on the role of a babysitter. "No, I don't want Xiao Zhou."

"But Mommy has a very important job to do right now, so will you be a good girl and listen to me?"

Gu Xiaotian's face was already flushed, but he pouted and finally agreed, "Alright then."

Gu Anran patted his head reassuringly, and in the instant she turned around, Gu Xiaotian had already secretly installed a miniature camera in the corner of Gu Anran's pocket.

For some reason, Gu Xiaotian felt that Gu Anran's expression was not good. Hearing Gu Anran say that she had something to take care of, he became even more worried. Not long after Gu Anran left, Xiao Zhou arrived.

Gu Anran changed into a formal outfit and took a taxi to the company building. "Not bad, the company doesn't seem to match her personality at all." Looking at the tall office building, Gu Anran never expected that her opponent would resort to such underhanded methods.

Looking at the receptionist, Gu Anran took a deep breath and walked in nonchalantly. Everyone was waiting for the elevator to open. Gu Anran reassured herself, "They can't see me, they can't see me..."

Once she stepped into the elevator, she felt she had taken the first step towards success. But before she even reached it, she heard someone calling her from behind.

"Miss, do you have an appointment? Ma'am, please show me your proof..."

Gu Anran stood there, her mind racing. She felt an awkward silence around her. "Never mind!"

Gu Anran suddenly turned her head, feigning shock as she looked at the receptionist, "Don't you recognize me?"

"Hmm?" The visit instantly puzzled the receptionist. Looking at Gu Anran's serious expression, she carefully considered the matter in her mind.

"No way, you actually forgot!" Gu Anran repeated in an extremely surprised tone. This time, the receptionist seemed to realize something and looked at Gu Anran.

A smile gradually spread across Gu Anran's face, making her realize that her tactic had worked. "Oh, you're a friend of our boss, right? I remember seeing you before."

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize it just now." The young woman looked at Gu Anran with a guilty expression, afraid that Gu Anran would blame her. Seeing her expression, Gu Anran was instantly no longer afraid.

She straightened her back, tossed her hair, and continued, "It's alright. It seems I'll have to come see Sister Amin more often from now on, otherwise you'll all forget about me."

The young woman immediately realized that she had been rather abrupt and quickly apologized to Gu Anran while seeing her off in the VIP elevator. "I'm so sorry, but our boss hasn't returned yet. You might have to wait for her for a while."

Gu Anran waved her hand, "It's okay, I'll wait for her in her office." The elevator doors slowly closed, and Gu Anran was secretly happy. This was great! She hadn't expected that the wicked woman to be absent. The elevator ride was smooth.

Stepping out of the elevator, Gu Anran quickly found Amin's office. Seeing that no one was around, Gu Anran quietly slipped into the office, hugging the wall.

First, she drew the curtains. Then, Gu Anran frantically rummaged through her belongings. The information her assistant had given her indicated that the evidence was in her office, and she was sure she could find it.

Finally, Gu Anran found what she wanted in a small box. "This is it. With her, no one can wish for me anymore." Gu Anran had been spending the last few days in misunderstanding.

The jade was intercepted for no reason, and everyone suspected that she was behind it, but only Gu Anran knew how wronged she was.

Gu Anran quickly put the evidence into her pocket and then quietly left the office.

"Who goes there!" A man's voice suddenly came from behind her, startling Gu Anran. Everyone on this floor was someone Sister Amin knew well. This was bad.

The man's footsteps drew closer, and Gu Anran dared not turn around. Her hands clenched tightly. Run away! Gu Anran was about to run away.

Suddenly the elevator rang, and Gu Anran stared wide-eyed as Gu Xiaotian led Xiao Zhou in. "Look what you've done here. If Sister Amin isn't here, we'll wait a bit longer."

Xiao Zhou looked at the man calmly, as if she were criticizing Gu Anran or explaining to him. The man was thinking about it, and Gu Anran instantly understood what Xiao Zhou meant.

"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry." She quickly apologized and stepped behind Xiao Zhou.

"Sorry, this is our first time discussing cooperation with Sister Amin. We don't know the proper etiquette, so please forgive us." The man nodded, said a few words, and then left.

"Get out of here quickly." The three of them hurriedly entered the elevator. Gu Anran was very surprised to see the two of them here, unaware that Gu Xiaotian had already been on his way here.

Seeing Gu Xiaotian's eagerness for praise, Gu Anran sensed that the rescue was related to him. Sure enough, following the clue in Gu Xiaotian's eyes, Gu Anran quickly found a miniature camera in her pocket.
