Chapter Ten: Good Baby

Chapter Ten: Good Baby

It turns out that once someone gets sleepy, they'll stay sleepy.

When the next class ended, You Suian was still very sleepy, but her cup was empty. Actually, she hadn't filled it in the morning, but now she was a little thirsty and was struggling to get some water.

Li Yunxing's voice came from behind: "How about I answer it for you while I'm at it? You can go back to sleep for a while."

When you visit Sui'an, you feel that Li Yunxing's voice is like the morning sunlight piercing through the dust, making you feel both dazed and warm.

"good."

So cute. Li Yunxing likes to drink cold water, so she usually only drinks bottled water. There's no such thing as "by the way."

She didn't expose him. Instead, a deep smile spread across her face, which was encircled by his arms.

Li Yunxing was unaware that his excuse, which he had only thought of for a minute, was seen through by You Sui'an. He was in high spirits.

Zhao Zhi was a little confused. Li Yunxing chose a seat behind You Sui'an, and then their relationship progressed rapidly in just one or two weeks. This was... amazing.

He secretly nudged Li Yunxing, his curious eyes filled with shock. Because they were sitting close, he was too embarrassed to ask in front of You Suian, so he secretly wrote a small note.

Li Yunxing felt somewhat helpless. After thinking for a moment, he picked up his pen and wrote: She came to me to make peace. His ears burned bright red.

Zhao Zhi's eyes widened, clearly not expecting this. He wanted to ask more, but Li Yunxing's cheeks were also flushed, and he quickly told him to get lost.

After a while, he blinked somewhat awkwardly and said, "She misunderstood me before, but I'm magnanimous and didn't hold it against her. I forgave her, and now we're good friends."

Zhao Zhi was speechless. "Your good friend, based on his experience with shipping couples, these two are probably dating."

If Li Yunxing knew what he was thinking, she would definitely cry foul, saying that they are really just good friends now.

Although he liked You Sui'an very much, You Sui'an probably only regarded him as a friend, at most feeling a little guilty.

During an otherwise ordinary break, the sound of a whistle startled everyone.

"Huh??? Those idiots in the first year of high school have already finished their military training!" Zhao Zhi exclaimed in distress.

You Sui'an also felt a little regretful. She would have been more than willing to give this playground to a first-year high school student, even if it meant exchanging her morning exercise time for it!

No matter how much You Sui'an didn't want to go, they all had to go to the playground to run laps now.

You Sui'an felt terrible; she hated exercise. Unsurprisingly, she skipped the whole lap and returned still breathless.

She wiped the sweat from her forehead with a tissue, secretly wondering if she was too weak.

Little did she know that something even more unpleasant was yet to come. Before she could catch her breath, her homeroom teacher announced that a sports meet would be held in a month.

A look of fear crossed You Sui'an's face. After two weeks of rest, he was now being tortured repeatedly, as if he had fallen from heaven to hell.

People generally don't like sports, so the sports meet in the first semester of high school...

People weren't very enthusiastic about signing up, and many projects went unfilled. The homeroom teacher decided to hold a lottery, claiming it was to help everyone relax and participate more in class activities.

And, by sheer coincidence, she landed on the high jump. Remembering how she'd been forced to jump around like a duck on a perch last time, You Sui'an's face darkened. How could something so embarrassing happen?!

Li Yunxing couldn't help but smile.

He happened to see it last time. You Sui'an made preparations in a very professional manner, stretched out his long legs, and with a smooth movement, knocked the pole down in one go.

You Sui'an visibly felt embarrassed.

Later, she simply lowered the height to the lowest setting so that she wouldn't fail to achieve any results.

But Li Yunxing's smile soon faded, because there were generally very few boys in the liberal arts class, so some people had to participate in relay races twice, because there weren't enough boys even if all the boys were included.

Many projects have been pending for a long time. Li Yunxing felt that he had probably been tricked into running 3000 meters.

Although Teacher Li said that the 3000-meter event is too challenging, he could choose to give it up.

For some reason, Li Yunxing suddenly thought of You Sui'an again.

He seems to always be giving up.

So he smiled shyly and said, "I can give it a try."

However, You Sui'an's luck turned around; she didn't have to do anything, she only needed to complete one relay race. That meant she could play for three whole days.

That would be amazing!

Suddenly she remembered something and was about to turn around to ask when she noticed Li Yunxing's long face: "What's wrong?"

He said dejectedly, "I have to run 3000 meters, it's so tiring." He glanced at You Suian, sighed dramatically, and then looked away.

You Suian felt that although he was sighing, his wet, dog-like eyes were exceptionally beautiful and lively.

"That's terrible," You Suian said, offering only a word of comfort.

You Suian propped his head up with his hand, shook his head, thought for a moment, and added, "I'll cheer you on then."

She saw Li Yunxing's eyes light up immediately. He accepted it quite quickly, or was he just being coquettish?

You Suian looked at him with a smile, but didn't expose him.

She heard a soft, impatient "tsk," and when she looked up, she saw it was Tao Yan.

You Sui'an seemed lost in thought.

She touched her chin, realizing that she and Li Yunxing had acted quite normally, and it seemed she still needed to tone it down.

However, You Suian didn't pay much attention to this little incident. Tao Yan wasn't a very important person, and You Suian was indifferent to many things, so he wouldn't bother with her.

Although an unpleasant sports meet was about to begin, their holiday was obviously closer, and You Suian quickly made himself smile.

The next morning, You Sui'an felt sleepy. Her roommate had stayed up late doing homework the night before, and because she didn't like staying up late to do homework, she hadn't prepared a bed curtain. Last night, the light kept her awake, so she decided to buy one.

Two of my roommates were chatting in the bathroom, and I dozed off until 2 a.m.

However, it's normal for everyone to be a little excited since it's the night before the holiday. You Suian thought for a moment and decided to bring a novel, otherwise it would be too uncomfortable to not be able to sleep.

School is so annoying! They suddenly have a morning self-study session when we're about to have a holiday. Luckily, today is Saturday and it's English morning self-study, so I don't have to stand around patrolling or do dictation.

You Sui'an's thoughts were wandering, already connecting the plot of a serialized novel, before she vaguely realized what was happening.

Stop, stop, stop thinking about it, I'm so sleepy.

The time was exceptionally long and agonizing, but thankfully, You Sui'an finally made it through.

The dorm leaders went to the office and retrieved their respective dorm cell phones.

You Suian smiled as he took the phone from his roommate and replied in a good mood, "Thanks."

Shen Furong smiled and replied, "It's nothing." Although Shen Furong was usually very low-key and quiet, You Sui'an had a strange fondness for her.

They didn't know each other well, but You Sui'an always felt an inexplicable closeness to her. She had thought about it carefully before, and Shen Furong had a kind of older sister vibe that made her feel very at ease.

So even though there were always people snoring in her dorm room and her sleep wasn't very good, she never planned to change rooms.

Receiving her phone, You Sui'an felt like she had suddenly come back to life. She wondered if the person who had been so sleepy just moments before was really her.

It's so disjointed.

Humans are strange creatures, like giant containers that can be quickly filled by the injection of tiny, insignificant emotions.

However, this holiday was only a day and a half long, so You Suian didn't even bring her homework and left it to catch up on Sunday afternoon and evening. She watched Li Yunxing diligently packing his homework, casually resting his chin on his hand, and thought his earnestness was quite cute.

She was always lazy, with books piled up haphazardly on and under the desk, and test papers from who-knows-when tucked into the gaps, doing whatever was convenient for her.

Only when she feels like it will she organize her books in order and put the test papers into file folders by subject.

However, it probably won't last more than three days. Because she'll just leave it lying around again.

Sometimes, Tang Qingyue would get a sudden urge, and because she couldn't stand her messy desk, she would tidy it up for her. She would accept it with a smile and exclaim, "You're so kind, deskmate!" At this point, Tang Qingyue would look at her helplessly.

Oh, Tang Qingyue slipped away early again; she had a fever yesterday afternoon. The poor thing is always sick.

So she's going home alone today.

You Suian looked at her empty but tidy seat, lost in thought.

Her gaze then shifted to Li Yunxing, who was quite tidy, with his desk neatly arranged.

As she left, she smiled gently, and her "goodbye" seemed to still echo in Li Yunxing's ears, even though several minutes had passed.

She quickly boarded the school bus, found a window seat, took out her headphones, played some gentle and ethereal songs, and squinted her eyes.

There was a noise nearby, someone was coming. You Suian glanced at him out of the corner of his eye, then turned around and stared at him intently, making Li Yunxing blush.

You Suian smiled with satisfaction. Li Yunxing knew that she was teasing her again, and gave her a resentful look.

You Sui'an laughed even harder.

Although she was a little sleepy and somewhat dazed, laughing at this moment made her head highly excited, and this feeling was very different.

The car swayed and drove away. You Suian's mind went blank. It seemed that she could only hear now, and only hear the gentle singing in her ears.

Until the sound started to become fuzzy.

She suddenly woke up; in that half-dreaming state, she seemed to have not been able to hear the singing clearly.

The world was also hazy, everything seemed to be covered by a dim moonlight.

She didn't need to think about anything; she was nobody, as if she had merged with the world, just like the vast earth and the colorless, odorless air.

The song touched her soul at that moment. Although she couldn't hear it clearly, it felt like someone was whispering to her, like a dear old friend.

She loved it. So she loved the feeling of being in the car, and she wished that time could last forever.

Therefore, she always refused to let her parents pick her up from school, as it was too fast. She preferred the slower pace.

However, seeing her like this, her parents thought she didn't want to cause them any trouble. You Suian smiled and thought it was a beautiful misunderstanding.

But she really enjoys being treated like a good girl. It feels great.

However… You Suian glanced to the side and saw that Li Yunxing had also turned her head, so she looked away again.

What a strange tacit understanding.

This person is adorable, and I know the wickedness beneath her obedient and gentle exterior, but You Suian is certain that he still likes me.

You Suian laughed happily, but her head was turned to the side, so no one knew, not even Li Yunxing.

She enjoyed the feeling of seclusion.

She seemed like a manipulative and wicked person. Yet her eyes were always sincere.

She couldn't help but recall her previous foolish guesses and misunderstandings. What had blinded her back then? Perhaps it was "liking" someone?

But not anymore. She knows her own heart clearly, and nothing can hide her eyes now.

Now, she is the master of this game.

You Suian glanced at his oblivious, sluggish prey and gently curled his lips into a smile.

Li Yunxing returned a shy smile.

Something struck a chord deep within You Sui'an's heart. She blinked, dismissing those strange thoughts.

They traveled in silence, yet the atmosphere was unusually harmonious. When You Sui'an arrived at his stop, he gently tapped Li Yunxing's clothes: "I've arrived."

Li Yunxing was stunned for a moment, then quickly stood up to make it easier for her to leave, her ears turning red.

"goodbye."

"Goodbye." Hahaha, You Suian remembered that he had said the same thing an hour ago, and couldn't help but feel a little happy.

She didn't see Li Yunxing's gaze fixed on her, but even if she did, she would only smile faintly. No one understood Li Yunxing's feelings better than her, even without his seemingly casual glances.

How fortunate we are.

Back home, You Suian realized she was still smiling. Unbeknownst to her, Li Yunxing had become a significant part of her life.

She felt a pang of regret, having missed a long period of time, missed his advances, missed his care, and missed him altogether. But thankfully, it wasn't too late.

You Suian suddenly missed him.

She smiled and said, "It hasn't been that long."
