boarding

This island is too peaceful. Zoro wants to go to the next island to save money. The two board the departing tourist ship and, unsurprisingly, get separated on the next island.

Luna wasn't surprised at all and went about her own business. She wanted to find a decent gun, but the East Blue was the weakest point in the Grand Line, and she could only find initial versions, which she didn't even consider good enough.

After finding a place to stay, Luna went to inquire about Zoro. She'd heard that the three-sword style, terrifying-looking guy who looked like a demon, had taken down a wanted criminal. Raising an eyebrow, she followed the crowd of onlookers and saw Zoro negotiating with a black market dealer.

It turns out there's a whole industry chain for bounty hunters. Not every island has a naval presence, and some people have seized this opportunity. They collect commissions on the black market and now pay hunters who don't want to travel far.

This was a godsend for Zoro, preventing the directionally challenged Zoro from getting lost while dragging his corpse around. After paying a 15% commission, Zoro still had over 4.6 million, which he generously shared with Luna. The young man, now free of debt and with a little money, smiled like a child who had received Ultraman.

Is this a way of sharing half when we meet?

That's so generous!

Luna didn't stand on ceremony, counting her Berries to exchange for gold coins. She liked shiny things that could circulate across different worlds. But why did Zoro only have one sword left at his waist, and it wasn't even the Wado Ichimonji?

Where's your knife?

"It's broken. That sword needs maintenance." Zoro sighed helplessly, knowing he'd have to spend a million to buy a new sword and get it serviced. His sword was getting worse and worse; it broke with the slightest touch, it was practically unusable.

Luna's forehead creased with annoyance. She finally understood why this guy couldn't save money and was constantly hungry. With the Straw Hat crew like this, it was clear how tough it would be for Nami to manage things in the future.

For the sake of the small amount of money, she accompanied Zoro to buy a sword and also bought two large bracers. She asked a craftswoman to sew the two bracers together and attach a zipper.

"Here, wear it on your arm. You can put some money in there. Put 100,000 Berries in each time, and put in a new one after you use it, so you don't run out of money for food every time." Develop the habit of saving money, at least you won't end up on the streets.

“…Oh.” Zoro was unusually obedient, stuffing ten thousand Berries into the bag and wearing it on his wrist without saying a word.

Luna slung her tan bag over her shoulder, turned back with a smile, and said goodbye: "You have to wait for Dao here. I have someone I need to find. I'll come back to see you in a few days."

"Okay, if you run into Hawkeye, be sure to look for me." What could Zoro say? He couldn't delay her business.

To buy suitable weapons, Luna drifted at sea. She also took care of several wanted criminals along the way, made connections with people on the black market, and finally bought a suitable pistol. Playing with the gun that could fire copper bullets, she shouldered her weapon and went to find Zoro.

Unexpectedly, when they found him, he was tied up in the naval base, left to bake in the sun and deprived of food and water in the square. It was nighttime, and there was no one in the square; he looked pitiful with his hands tied.

"Have some." Luna took out a bottle of mineral water and brought it to his lips.

"Yeah, thanks." Zoro forced a smile from his chapped lips.

Why did you obediently give in?

There is a reason.

It turns out that while Zoro was eating, an unleashed vicious dog bit a child. He killed the dog with a kick, but that didn't stop the owner from being a scoundrel. That guy was the son of a local colonel, used to bullying others. He himself was fine, but that jerk took his anger out on the mother and daughter at the restaurant.

"Just one month is enough. There are only 21 days left now." Zoro doesn't lie to people he knows well. He made a deal with that scumbag: if he can survive for a month without food or water, the other party will let it go.

"Can a person go a month without food or water?" Luna tried hard to recall, remembering that this was the reason Zoro became a pirate. She tore open a piece of chocolate to give him energy, and then took out a rice ball.

"Waaaaah~ Waaaah..." Zoro glanced at her, then chewed as if he hadn't heard her.

"Don't easily believe the promises of scumbags."

"I'm fine." Zoro didn't feel threatened at all. Even if Yunxiu didn't feed him, he wouldn't be afraid.

Luna was speechless for a moment, quite curious as to why Zoro's digestive system had automatically shut down after being tied up here for so many days. Not eating or drinking was one thing, but at the beginning... did he not need to go to the toilet?

"What are you looking at?" Zoro noticed her gaze drifting towards his pants, and that conflicted yet disdainful look in her eyes was incredibly piercing, even in the darkness.

"Do you want me to untie you and change your pants?" Luna took two steps back and asked softly.

Zoro stood there stunned for two seconds before belatedly realizing what was happening, his face turning bright red. He hadn't eaten or drunk anything for so long; did this woman have no conscience at all?

"Stop nagging, I didn't... (wet my pants)!"

"I'm going back." Luna quickly disappeared in a flash.

Luna also learned that Colonel Morgan was in charge on the island. His tyranny imposed heavy taxes on the residents and erected a bronze statue in their honor; the navy was forced to act as his henchmen, or they would be killed. She found the sergeant in the middle of the night and asked him to gather evidence of the colonel's misdeeds. She would report him and wouldn't implicate anyone else.

"Really?" The bearded sergeant's eyes lit up, his anticipation almost overflowing.

"I know you didn't want to do this either." Luna's tone was gentle, as if she understood them perfectly and that they had no choice but to do it under pressure.

The sergeant's eyes were red; they had no choice but to obey orders, and none of them wanted to die. It was so kind of the girl to understand them.

Five days later, Luna went to the neighboring island to report it, and also sent the information via seagull. She specifically named Monkey D. Garp, since the old man was definitely coming to see his grandson anyway, and it was convenient for him to be passing by.

She spent some time reselling things in her spare time, and then Straw Hat Luffy arrived. The straw-hatted boy, wearing slippers, a bright red vest, and blue shorts, had a silly, bright smile on his face and was asking about Zoro.

"Luffy." Luna waved from the corridor, looking rather furtive.

"Do you know me?" Luffy leaned closer and asked curiously.

Yunxiu, in her longing form, greeted him with a smile: "I am Yunxiu."

"Huh? Huh? Huh?" Luffy was startled. He touched the little girl who looked just like before, but found nothing. He couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"What is that?" The pink-haired boy with glasses next to him was startled, his legs trembling.

“This is Yunxiu, my friend, her ghost! This is Koby.”

Luna smacked Luffy on the back of the head, interrupting her deceptive introduction: "It's a Devil Fruit ability."

"I see." Koby breathed a sigh of relief, he was almost scared to death.

The three heads happily went to watch Zoro make a fool of himself, while the green-haired one looked at the familiar face among them and got so angry that her neck swelled up. She snorted coldly, dissatisfied that the other person was bullying her with an outsider.

That bastard!

"Go for it, Zoro!" Luna watched the spectacle with amusement, having no intention of helping at all.

Luffy may seem naive, but he's actually quite a brat. For example, his method of recruiting Zoro was ruthless; he kidnapped Zoro's sword to threaten him into joining. Plus, knowing his promise to his foolish son was a lie, Zoro doesn't really care about justice or evil.

"However, I must make this clear beforehand. My ambition, however, will absolutely be carried through to the end."

"Ambition?" Luffy asked, puzzled. The word seemed unfamiliar to him.

"I will become the world's greatest swordsman! If you prevent me from achieving this ambition, I will cut you down."

"The world's greatest swordsman? Not bad. To become the Pirate King's crewmate, you have to be at least that level!" Luffy thought it was so cool. The world's greatest swordsman, that sounded awesome.

Luna, watching up close, was delighted; this is the spirit of youth. No wonder they're the main characters of One Piece, so cool!

The two cooperated happily, defeating Colonel Morgan soundly, and then had a meal together at a restaurant. Zoro also learned Luffy's true situation: this captain was penniless, had no one, no money, and didn't even have a boat with a rain shelter.

"My God." Zoro clutched his forehead in pain. How could he have believed such a superstition?

"Hahahaha!" Luna laughed so hard she couldn't stand up straight; it was just too funny.

Luffy was overjoyed to finally see Yunxiu and shouted, "Yunxiu, Yunxiu, you're here too! Be our chef!"

"A chef won't do, I don't like cooking. I'm a magician, remember that." Luna refused outright; she wanted to eat something ready-made.

Luffy remembered that she used to order him and Ace around when they cooked. Well, a magician it is, now there are three of them.

"Are you joining? With this kind of setup, you're going to join?" Zoro was shocked; Yunxiu also wanted to join.

"Let's have some fun." Luna tilted her head and took a sip of juice.

Zoro sighed. This woman was truly ignorant of the world: "Pirates will be hunted down."

"It doesn't matter. If I get captured, won't you and Luffy come to rescue me?"

"Absolutely!" Luffy answered quickly.

Zoro: ...

Luna didn't join them for the time being; she had to clean up the mess after becoming a pirate. First, she needed to forge a new identity and deposit the money again. She still had several bounties pending approval, which the Navy wouldn't pay once they knew she was a pirate.

Zoro: "..."

very good!

There are still plans.

Luna also applied for a Den Den Mushi (snail phone) and gave the number to Zoro. "Remember to call me when we get to the island. If you're done here, come and meet up with them."

"Okay." Zoro put the paper away and set off on the trade route with Luffy.

Two clueless sailors drifted along the seas. First, they beat up the immortal Bucky and gained a navigator; then they defeated the black cat Locke and picked up a lying sniper, successfully acquiring their first ship.

Luna finished settling her belongings and rejoined the group. The four became five; she moved into the girls' dormitory, her roommate being the navigator Nami. Looking at the upper bunk she'd reserved for herself, Luna gave Nami a gemstone bracelet.

"Wow, it's real." Nami knew her stuff and quickly recognized that the necklace was made of genuine gemstones.

She looked Luna up and down. Why did this little sister, who was even younger than her, so beautiful and strong, become a pirate?

Why did you become a pirate?

"I want to go to the Great Voyage, so I can meet Zoro and Luffy."

Nami couldn't help but twitch her lips as she watched the girl walk together as if they were good friends. Did this girl have the same brain capacity as Luffy?

"Besides, there's really not much difference between pirates and marines. Just because Morgan is a marine doesn't mean he's good, and just because Luffy is a pirate doesn't mean he's evil. The world isn't so clearly black and white." Luna put her things away and smiled at her.

Nami paused slightly, but didn't say anything more. Luffy is indeed a good person, but there are quite a few bad people in the Navy too.

At least, Luffy isn't the kind of pirate she hates.
