Cai Cai woke up first, leaning against her father's shoulder, quietly drinking the little milk her mother rewarded her with.

Xiao He was sleeping in Chu Qinghuai's arms. Cai Cai saw that her younger sister was still sleeping and wanted to shake her awake to play. Chu Qinghuai coughed and said, "If you wake your sister up, you'll have to comfort her when she cries."

Ah, Cai Cai withdrew his hand, his eyes darting around. He decided against it. He had many fears, but his greatest fear was his sister crying.

"Daddy, can Cai Cai hug her little sister like Daddy hugs her?"

"Can you carry them?" He was afraid that both children would fall.

"I can carry you."

Although Cai Cai's face has become rounder and he has gained weight after being raised by his parents for a while, he still looks about the same age as Xiao He and doesn't look like an older brother at all. He is only a little bit taller than Xiao He, and most people would think they are twins.

Cai Cai excitedly opened her arms and carefully took her little sister from her father's hands, treating her like a precious treasure. Afraid of hurting her, she breathed cold air into her mouth. Chu Qinghuai watched her movements and supported her with his hand at all times.

Be careful.

He held his little sister like a giant doll. Although he knew he should hold her gently, he couldn't quite control his strength. He cradled her cute little face and gently nuzzled her cheek. This was his way of showing his love for his sister.

Chu Qinghuai, who had watched the whole thing, couldn't help but soften. It was strange, really. The two of them were not related by blood, yet they could get along like siblings. Love really does nourish everything.

Cai Cai wanted to sit on the sofa and hug her younger sister properly, and told her father not to touch her, "Dad, take your hands away, I can hug her by myself."

His sweet, childlike voice is also quite unique; he always says "myself" as "jiji".

Chu Qinghuai was momentarily stunned and actually believed him. He loosened his grip, and Zhong Wan didn't even have time to stop him. She watched helplessly as Cai Cai threw Xiao He to the ground.

He's still too weak; he can't lift his sister by himself. Without his father's help, it's normal for this kind of accident to happen.

The air was silent for about two seconds before Xiao He, who was fast asleep, realized the pain in her head. With her eyes still closed, she burst into tears, which reached Cai Cai's ears. He stood there at a loss, also frightened.

It's hard to tell who's more pitiful.

Fortunately, the sofa was very close to the ground, so Xiao He was not injured, but mostly frightened.

This is not Cai Cai's fault; Chu Qinghuai is entirely to blame. Zhong Wan immediately hugged Cai Cai and comforted her, "It's okay, it's okay. Mom knows you didn't do it on purpose. It's all Dad's fault for not holding your sister properly. Let's comfort your sister now."

Even after her mother kissed her forehead, Xiao Qingcai, knowing she had done something wrong, didn't recover her mood. Her lips turned down, forming a small parenthesis, her eyes were red, her fingers were twisting together, and her voice was trembling with tears: "My sister hurts, Cai Cai is bad."

I really feel guilty.

“Cai Cai is not bad, Cai Cai is a good brother.”

He and Mu Mu sat on Zhong Wan's lap, all three of them staring intently at Xiao He, wondering how to comfort her.

Chu Qinghuai gently patted his daughter's back and stroked her hair with one hand, "It won't hurt if I rub it, baby, I'm sorry."

Compared to the slight pain, Xiao He kept crying because she hadn't woken up properly. She refused to open her eyes, and tears welled up from the corners of her eyes, falling onto Chu Qinghuai's clothes.

"Okay, okay, don't cry, Daddy will get you some milk."

At first, Chu Qinghuai was quite patient and tried everything, but the child kept crying and looked really pitiful. She cried until she started hiccuping, and he visibly panicked. His actions of comforting and patting her were slightly faster than before, and he even started calling his daughter "Dad."

There are very few moments when Chu Qinghuai can be this gentle.

Zhong Wan said, "How about Mommy hugs me? Don't cry, baby. We're going to play some fun games later."

Xiao He was probably a little angry with Chu Qinghuai, so she deliberately didn't respond to her father's words. She clearly heard her mother's words, nodded, and sobbed softly, "Mommy, hug me."

"Okay~ Mommy will hold the baby, and older brothers and sisters will hold the baby too."

Zhong Wantian seemed to know how to coax people. She hugged her, rocked her, and whispered secrets to her. Xiao He smelled her mother's familiar scent and instantly held back her tears, even giggling at the amusement.

"You little brat, you're faking tears even though you don't have any. Are you bullying your father? Why are you ignoring him?"

"No."

Xiao He pouted, her little hands wrapped around her mother's neck. Zhong Wan asked, "Does your head still hurt?"

"It doesn't hurt."

"It's good that it doesn't hurt." Zhong Wan kissed her hair, opened the milk, and inserted the straw. "Good baby who sleeps well will have milk to drink. After you finish drinking, shall we go out and play?"

Xiao He was also thirsty. She nodded and gulped down her milk, then handed some to her mother after a few sips, saying, "Mom, have some too."

"Mommy won't drink it, but baby will."

Zhong Wan wasn't just being polite to her daughter; she simply thought the milk tasted really fishy and was not good to drink at all.

The amusement park had a cheerful atmosphere, and in the afternoon there were stage shows featuring cartoon characters, which were enjoyed by both children and adults.

Besides watching the show, Zhong Wan also took the children to try strawberry ice cream, led them to take photos inside the castle, and did crafts in the children's area...

Happy times fly by, and before we knew it, it was dinnertime, which meant the day would soon be over.

The three children seemed to sense how quickly time was passing. Mumu, holding her mother's hand, walked up the steps and said to herself, "I wish I could come here every day."

"Baby, what did you say?" Zhong Wan didn't hear clearly.

"I want to come here every day, I want to live here."

Mumu's biggest dream right now is to live in a castle with her parents, younger brother, and younger sister.

Upon hearing this, Zhong Wan couldn't help but chuckle. She had also had such a dream when she was a child. What child wouldn't want to have the most powerful magic and live in a beautiful big house?

"If you like it, Mommy will bring you again next time, but we can't stay at the amusement park because we have our own home. Isn't home good enough?"

That would be even better.

...

The couple, holding their children's hands, looked for a restaurant to have dinner. The fast food they had eaten at noon was not nutritious and did not fill them up, so everyone was hungry. Even Cai Cai, who usually loves junk food, said that he only wanted white rice. So Zhong Wan decisively chose a bustling stir-fry restaurant. Because the business was so good, they had to queue at the door. Unexpectedly, they ran into someone they knew.

To be precise, they are the children that the fruit and vegetable flower company knows.

Cai Cai, with her sharp eyes, was sitting obediently on her father's lap when she suddenly pointed and shouted, "Green!"

At first, Qinghuai didn't take it seriously and silently pressed his hand down, saying, "You can't point at other people casually."

The child got impatient, tried to get off his father, and ran to his older and younger sisters, gesturing and exaggerating as he said, "I see green, a little kid."

Clever as Mumu was, she immediately understood what he was saying, "You mean the green-eyed child?"

The three little ones didn't have a good memory of those days in daycare. The only thing they could remember was meeting the little boy with green eyes and curly hair, but they had all forgotten his name.

Cai Cai was delighted to see that her older sister still remembered, and pulled her along to go find the little boy.

Zhong Wan stopped them both. "What's wrong? Who are you looking for?"

How could she not know that the children were secretly making friends behind her back?

Following the direction Cai Cai pointed, Zhong Wan immediately saw the eye-catching green-eyed child obediently holding his parents' hands, clearly well taken care of by his family.

Are you talking about that mixed-race baby?

They didn't understand mixed race; they just said, "I want to play with the green-eyed kid."

Zhong Wan rarely saw the children being so open and natural, so she didn't object and went to greet them with them.

Cai Cai was the happiest. She was short, so she ran up to the little boy, tugged at his sleeve, and looked at him with a happy expression: "You've come."

The way they said that makes it sound like the two of them had made a prior agreement.

The little boy seemed a bit embarrassed. He was still somewhat dazed when he saw Cai Cai standing in front of him, until Mu Mu and Xiao He greeted him, at which point he remembered who they were.

However, he was still a little scared, afraid that Cai Cai would steal his eyes, so he took several steps back and hid behind his mother.

Zhong Wan was also surprised to discover this side of her child so audacious. She apologized to the other parents, "I'm sorry for being so abrupt. My child said he knew your child and insisted on coming over to say hello. They seem to get along quite well. Did they meet at daycare?"

After his initial surprise, the little boy's father smiled politely and said, "Oh, so this is your family. No wonder Xiwen came home one day saying he met three good friends. I was thinking of meeting them the next day, but I didn't expect you didn't go."

Zhong Wan didn't mince words and said directly, "That daycare center isn't good. The teachers aren't nice to the children, so my husband and I stopped sending them there. Oh, by the way, are you still there?"

“He’s gone too. None of Xiwen’s friends went, and he also kept saying he didn’t want to go, so I signed him up for a few extracurricular classes near our home.”

Zhong Wan smiled and said that was great. She looked at the little boy's mother and they smiled at each other.

"What a coincidence! Our second child finally met the friend he's been longing to see."

"Who can argue with that? Xiwen has never had many friends, and he's so happy to have finally made three."

The boy's full name is Chu Yue. He has a very obvious mixed-race appearance. Cai Cai is right. His pupils are green, like shining gems. No one can bear to look away from them.

His mother is Russian and speaks fluent Chinese, so she can communicate normally with Zhong Wan. The two of them thought that since the children got along so well, they might as well have a meal and chat together. Maybe they could become good friends in the future, or even visit each other's homes.

The two mothers successfully exchanged WeChat accounts.

The children's social interactions were equally elaborate. This time, Cai Cai asked the boy's name first. The little boy's voice was very soft and shy: "My full name is Chu Yue, but you can call me Xi Wen."

“Okay, I’ll remember. My name is Cai Cai, this is my older sister Mu Mu, and this is my younger sister Xiao He.” Cai Cai patted her chest proudly. “If you become good friends with me, you can also become good friends with Mu Mu and Xiao He.”

Xiwen couldn't resist the temptation of "buy one get two free" and blinked: "Okay, I want to be your friend."
