Chapter 23 The Xia Family Becomes Famous Again

Unexpectedly, Erwa didn't wrap the snake in the end, but just picked it up with a stick and took it away.

When they reached the foot of the mountain, they met many villagers along the way, and the children of the Xia family finally understood why their mother asked them to bring the snake with them.

"Auntie, why aren't you going home yet? Ah, my second child just killed a half-meter-long snake with a branch. Hurry home and clean up."

"What's so great about it? It's just kids playing around."

"Ah, yes, it's half a meter, sister-in-law, I didn't lie to you."

"If you don't believe me, just look at the second kid picking it up in the back."

"Oh uncle, stop praising me. This kid is really strong."

"Yes, at least no one will dare to bully us women from now on."

Xia Manni chatted all the way as they walked. Fortunately, Erwa only killed a snake. If someone didn't know, they would have thought he had killed a tiger.

The purpose of Xia Manni doing this is to let the people in the village know that not only does their family have a mother who can chop people, but even the little kid can kill a half-meter long snake.

When they reached the door of their house, Da Wa suddenly said that Doctor Sun in the village seemed to have collected snake gall before.

So a group of people rushed to Doctor Sun's house.

The Xia family lived at the west end of the village, and Dr. Sun lived at the east end. Along the way, Xia Manni patiently explained to the villagers how the half-meter snake came to be.

In just one hour, another legend about the Xia family was added to Shizai Village.

The previous legend was that Xia Manni could kill people, but the current legend is that the four-year-old child of the Xia family can hunt.

It was some time later that Xia Manni heard this, but the difference in the content was not important. What Xia Manni wanted was for her Xia family to be famous, and it would be best if everyone in the family was a villain and no one dared to mess with them.

When we arrived at Doctor Sun's house, we saw him setting up his medical consultation stall at the door and taking the pulse of the last villager.

The sun was about to set, so anyone with an emergency needed to go inside.

Several people came to the stall in a hurry, and Xia Manni told the children not to make any noise and disturb Dr. Sun while he was seeing patients.

The children were all very obedient, especially Si Ni'er. She put her little hands directly on Doctor Sun's table and stood on tiptoe to watch Doctor Sun take the patient's pulse.

She looked so seriously that even Doctor Sun looked at her several times.

Although none of them said anything, the shiny half snake was really scary. The patient saw that the examination was almost over, so he quickly paid the fee and went home.

"What do you want from me?" Doctor Sun asked, stroking his beard.

"Doctor Sun, my second son killed a snake, and we don't know how to clean it up. I just heard from my eldest son that you sell snake gallbladders, so why don't you pick one up and ask if you want one?"

In fact, before Xia Manni spoke, he had already observed the snake that Xia's second son was carrying.

But he didn't expect that this was actually beaten to death by a child who was over four years old. However, he looked at the second child's body and thought to himself: This is indeed a good body.

"Haha, you're a good kid. I'm collecting them here. Pick one out for me to see."

Erwa obediently hung the dead snake on the ground, while Doctor Sun took the props and started working.

Several people just watched Doctor Sun cut open the snake's belly without even having time to close their eyes.

After a while, Doctor Sun put the snake gall into the bowl.

It’s true, the snake’s gallbladder is really good and can be considered top-grade for making medicine.

"I'll take the snake gall and give you fifty cents." Doctor Sun did not give a high price just because the Xia family felt sorry for him.

He usually charges this price for snake gallbladders, mainly because the quality of this snake is good.

"Doctor Sun, how about this? We don't want the snake anymore and we'll give it to you. We don't want any money."

Although Xia Manni didn't expect that a snake gall could be sold for fifty cents, she thought about it and thought that it was probably because catching snakes was risky.

But compared to money, she had something more important to ask Dr. Sun.

"Oh? You don't want money? And you're giving me this snake for free?"

Doctor Sun was a little surprised. He had heard and seen how domineeringly Xia Manni snatched the silver that day.

Today she had free money, but she refused it.

"Yes, Doctor Sun. I don't want money, but I would like to ask you for a favor, hehe." Xia Manni smiled ingratiatingly.

Doctor Sun looked at her suspiciously and said, "What favor do you need? Just tell me."

"It's like this, Doctor Sun." Xia Manni said as she sat on the stool where the patient who had just seen the patient had sat.

"You know what my children have been through. I'm always worried about their health. If there are any problems, I can take care of them in advance, instead of waiting until they grow up."

After Xia Manni said this, not only Doctor Sun looked at her strangely.

Several children were also surprised. They were wondering why their mother didn't want money. The anxious eldest child kept winking at Xia Manni.

They didn't expect that it was actually for their medical treatment.

But……

"Mom, we are not sick." said Da Wa. Although his mother was doing this for their own good, he always felt that there was no need to spend the money.

"Yes, Mom, I think I'm fine." Erwa said and raised his arms.

"Mom, Sanwa is not sick and doesn't want to take medicine." Sanwa said coquettishly while hugging Xia Manni's legs.

Si Ni'er nodded.

"Mom knows. I just asked Doctor Sun to take a look. Just think of it as a full-body checkup for you. If you are sick, you can get it checked. If you are not sick, you can just worry about it." She looked at the children's faces full of disapproval and explained patiently.
