The next morning, Xia Manni actually got up as early as the other kids.
"Mom, why did you get up so early today?" Erwa asked puzzledly, scratching the back of his head.
Erwa's words made Dawa, Sanwa and Sinier look at Xia Manni together.
Xia Manni glared at Erwa and said, "Because we have to go to the market today."
"Going to the market? That's great, Mom. What are we going to buy at the market? I haven't been to one before, Mom..."
After Si Nier slapped Sanwa with tact, Sanwa finally shut up.
"Mom, what should we buy?" The eldest and third children asked similar questions, but no one looked surprised when he asked.
"I want to buy a bag of flour, a sickle, and some cloth to make you some clothes. I also want to buy some meat and salt. I also want to buy a chicken for eggs."
"Wow, Mom, are we going to buy some meat?" Erwa was so happy that he almost jumped up. He had long forgotten what meat tasted like.
"Do you want to buy more chickens? Can we give them to Sanwa to raise?" Sanwa also happily circled around Xia Manni.
"Mom, I don't need to make new clothes. Make them for my brother and sister."
"Mom, Si Ni'er doesn't need to wear new clothes."
Da Wa and Sinier said sensibly that there was no need to make new clothes.
"Dawa Si Ni'er, the cloth won't cost much. We'll harvest the rice in a few days, and then we'll have enough food. Even if we buy all these things, we'll still have some money left."
After hearing what Xia Manni said, Da Wa and Sinier both nodded.
"Okay, eat some sweet potatoes, we'll be going to the market soon."
"Okay." Several children said loudly and happily.
Xia Manni asked the eldest and second children to borrow a cart from the neighbor, and then took the four children to the market.
The market is not far from Shizai Village, and the round trip only takes an hour. Even Sanwa and Sinier did not complain of being tired.
When the five of them arrived at the market, their grand presence really attracted attention.
There were a lot of people at the market, and Xia Manni was afraid that the youngest two, Sinier and Sanwa, would get separated from them, so she put them on the cart.
"Mom, I can push it." Seeing Xia Manni trying to push the cart, Da Wa quickly stopped her.
When the second child saw this, he quickly helped the eldest child push the cart.
Xia Manni obediently gave it to her two children. This was good because they knew how to take responsibility and knew they had to take care of the family early on.
With such thoughts and intentions, how could she spoil the fun?
"Mom, where are we going first?" Although it was not the first time for Da Wa to come to the market, it had been a year since he last came here.
Moreover, this market is so long that it makes me dizzy and I really don’t know where to start.
"We don't have that much time. Once we finish shopping, we have to go home to the fields to check on the rice."
Xia Manni was worried that the four kids liked the lively atmosphere and were reluctant to go home, so she told them in advance.
After the children all nodded, she said, "Let's go buy noodles first, and then buy meat." Xia Manni thought that if she sold the high-priced items first, she would know how to spend the money later.
"Who of you guys go and ask where I can find noodles in this market?" Xia Manni asked the four children. She wanted to take the opportunity to train the children's social skills.
"Mom, I'll go." Sanwa stood up from the cart, thought for a moment, and then said, "Second brother, you carry me."
"Go and ask why I still have to hold him?" Erwa said somewhat dissatisfiedly.
"Do you think you should let Mom or Big Brother hold me? Mom and Big Brother are both sick, and you're the strongest..."
Erwa: I always feel like something is wrong, but I can’t put my finger on it.
Da Wa: There is no need to say he is sick
Xia Manni: Should I thank you, Sanwa?
At this time, Sanwa had already opened his arms to Erwa on the cart, and Erwa had no choice but to accept his fate and pick up Sanwa.
"Second brother, go find the little sister in front." Sanwa directed with his hands in Erwa's arms.
Xia Manni and a few others were watching from behind. They saw Erwa carrying Sanwa to find a young girl.
I don’t know what Sanwa said to the girl, but I saw the girl laughing so hard that her body was shaking. After a while, Erwa came back holding Sanwa.
Surprisingly, Sanwa brought back a candied haws in his hand.
"Mom, the young lady said there's a grain store in front, and there's a butcher nearby, even live chickens are sold nearby. The fabric store is a little further away, closer to the edge. But the young lady said it's next to the blacksmith shop."
Everyone was stunned by what they heard. It turned out that Sanwa had gotten all the information in such a short time.
"Sanwa, you are amazing. You have asked all the questions in such a short time." When she heard Sanwa call the girl "sister", she knew how Sanwa got the answers.
After all, who doesn’t like a sweet-talking doll?
"Oh, Mom. This is the candied haws that sister gave me. It's for you." Sanwa actually wanted to give the candied haws to Xia Manni.
"Sanwa is so filial. If mom doesn't want to eat it, you guys can share it." Xia Manni is not a child anymore, and she will definitely not fight with the children for a candied haws.
And she was worried that if she nodded even slightly, the second child would start crying.
"Come, come, Sanwa. Second brother can't hug you for nothing. Let me try some candied haws. I haven't eaten them yet." How could he have tasted candied haws if he had never even been to the market?
Sanwa obediently shared the candied haws with his brother and sister.
