Chapter 27 The Xia Family Doesn’t Keep Idle People

Sanwa was seen squatting in front of a small stall, and Xia Manni walked over to take a look.

This is a small stall that sells a variety of vegetables, including wild mushrooms and vegetables from the mountains.

"Sanwa, why don't you leave?"

"Mom, do you think we can sell the things we picked in the mountains?" Sanwa had stood up at this time and tilted his head to say to Xia Manni.

Xia Manni had actually considered this, but they were currently in the busy farming season and didn't have the time to gather mountain produce. Furthermore, the stock at home was only enough for the family to eat, not enough to sell at the market.

But what surprised her was that this matter was discovered by a little kid who was just over two years old.

She found it a little unbelievable. Some people are born smart, and she felt that Sanwa was such a child.

She turned around and looked at the eldest, second and fourth sons, who looked quite indifferent to the matter. It is said that the nine sons of a dragon are all different.

Perhaps Sanwa has a keen sense of business that others don't have.

So she touched Sanwa's head and said, "Sanwa is really amazing. When we have enough mountain products, let Sanwa sell them."

Sanwa nodded happily. This time the trip was not delayed any further and the group returned to Shizai Village smoothly.

As soon as Xia Manni opened the door, the little dog rushed over.

When she left the house, the little dog followed her non-stop. Xia Manni was worried that it would be inconvenient to have a dog following her at the market, and if something happened to the dog, it would be a disaster.

No one in their family had fed the little dog for the past two days. During the day, it followed them everywhere, and at night, it would squat outside the door. No one knew how it survived, but it showed no signs of leaving.

The little dog pounced on everyone and finally stopped in front of Erwa.

As expected, dogs are the most loyal, and they know very well who their savior is.

The eldest child took the second child to pack up the things they bought, and Xia Manni gave the chickens to the fourth child and the third child.

The chickens she bought came with chicken coops, and Xia Manni planned to build a chicken coop when she had some free time in a few days.

"Mom, what do these chicks eat?" Sanwa planned to feed the chicks something.

"Uh... to be more precise, we can feed it with rice, wild vegetables from the mountains, and some vegetable seedlings."

"Mom, why does it eat the same thing as us?" Sanwa was a little confused.

Who says it’s not?

But their family is too poor, "Let's save money together, and then we can eat something different from chicken in the future."

Then she left the children alone and started preparing dinner.

It was noon when I got back, so it was still in time to cook.

"Mom, what delicious food should we make today?" Big Brother came into the house to help and saw Xia Manni kneading noodles.

"Today, Mom made pancakes for you. Unfortunately, there are no pickles. Let's go dig bamboo shoots after we finish working in the fields."

Xia Manni discussed with Da Wa that most of the time she didn't treat Da Wa as a child, but more often she treated him as an adult.

"Okay, Mom, are you planning to pickle bamboo shoots?" Dried bamboo shoots had been pickled before when his grandmother was still alive. The experiences of the past few days had made him forget that he even had a grandmother in this world.

"Yes, it just so happens that Mom bought a lot of salt." The salt here is really not cheap. Just a jar of it is almost the same price as meat.

However, except for the need for pickling things, not much salt is needed at other times. There is no problem eating this jar until after the New Year.

"Mom, I heard you tell big brother that we are going to have pancakes today, right? That's great." The happiest one was Erwa, as they hadn't tasted noodles for a long time.

"But Erwa, you have to remember what Doctor Sun said. Don't eat too much. Stop when you feel a little full."

"I understand, Mom." Erwa nodded a little frustrated.

The whole family was busy. Xia Manni made pancakes, the eldest son lit the fire and added firewood, the second son chopped wood, and the third son and the fourth son cut the wild vegetables they found and fed them to the chickens.

Even the local dog followed Erwa to help carry firewood, and did so very enthusiastically.

The Xia family does not keep idle people, and this is fully demonstrated at this moment.

Not long after, the fragrant pancakes were finally ready.

Several children had actively moved their chairs and were already waiting. When the pancakes were served, they were all waiting to eat with Xia Manni.

"Okay, let's eat. Today is our first time eating noodles. I believe that with your help, our family will definitely get better and better."

After Xia Manni finished speaking, the four children nodded and started eating together.

After all, it had been a while since they had eaten noodles, and even Xia Manni felt a little full. She quickly stopped Erwa who was about to reach out.

The eldest took advantage of this opportunity to put away the pancakes, while the third and fourth children took the opportunity to clear the table. Even the chair under the second child's butt was pulled out by the third child.

Erwa did not resist too much. He knew that what Doctor Sun meant was that if he ate too much, he would easily get sick, and if he got sick, he would have to take medicine, and taking medicine would cost money.

He is the strongest in the family now and must not get sick. He must protect his mother, elder brother, and younger siblings.

No one knew that Erwa's cognition and obsession continued until he became an adult.

After they finished cleaning up, they planned to go to the fields first.

This time when we went to the fields, we obviously felt that there were a lot more people there than last time.

Not to mention "Li" was also busy in the fields. When Xia Manni saw him, she greeted him with a few children.
