Xia Manni was trying to hold back her laughter, and Doctor Sun pretended not to notice and continued to take Si Ni'er's pulse.
After a while, he let go of Si Ni'er's arm and said, "Si Ni'er's health is okay, but I see that she doesn't talk much. You should make sure she practices speaking more."
Xia Manni nodded solemnly. This was also because she was more worried about Si Ni'er.
When she first met Si Ni'er, she thought the child might have autistic tendencies.
Later, it was discovered that she had some logic, but was not very good at expressing it. Furthermore, Xia Manni had observed that some of Sini'er's actions did not seem like those of an autistic child.
But as Dr. Sun said, Sinier and Sanwa are now at the age to learn to speak.
This age is the time when vocabulary explodes. If you don’t practice speaking more, it will be difficult to communicate with others in the future.
In severe cases, it may even develop into aphasia, which is something Xia Manni does not want to see.
Although she is not a marriage advocate, she has always dreamed of having a daughter.
So she would never allow such a thing to happen to her own children.
"Besides paying attention to this, do we need to get some herbs to mix it?" Xia Manni asked.
"No, she doesn't need to take medicine. You can ask her what she is interested in and encourage her to talk more."
It seems that the only way is to enter Si Ni'er's inner world. There is no other way.
"Si Ni'er, Grandpa Sun means that you should speak more in the future so that you can do what you like."
Si Nier nodded, not quite understanding.
Doctor Sun: That’s not what I meant.
The next one to take the pulse was Sanwa. Seeing that his sister had finished, Sanwa stared at that seat and waited for his sister to get down so that he could sit on it.
"Sanwa is a child with a strong internal heat. Remember to tell him to drink more water."
Sanwa imitated Xia Manni's behavior just now and nodded seriously.
"Doctor Sun, I want to ask..." Xia Manni interrupted at this time.
Doctor Sun thought Xia Manni had something important to add about Siwa's condition, so he tilted his head and listened attentively.
"Doctor Sun, does this have something to do with talking too much?"
After hearing this, the children of the Xia family couldn't help but burst out laughing.
Although Sanwa didn't think that these were bad words, he felt that they were not good words when his brothers and sisters laughed at him.
So he pretended to hit his brothers.
But Xia Manni pushed him down, and Sanwa could only sit there obediently.
"Well...if you talk too much and don't drink enough water, this will happen."
"Okay, I understand." Xia Manni said and then picked up the third child.
Otherwise, the child really didn’t know what to talk about with Dr. Sun later.
"Mom, do I need to ask Grandpa Sun? Do I need to take medicine?" Sanwa always felt that he was missing something compared to his sister.
Xia Manni said with a dark face: "No need, just keep quiet."
Hearing this, Da Wa, Er Wa and Sinier all held their stomachs and burst into laughter.
"Second child, you come." Xia Manni decided to put the eldest child last.
Erwa took a much shorter time to take the pulse than Sanwa and Sinier. Even before Xia Manni had time to ask, Doctor Sun answered himself.
"There's nothing wrong with the second child's health. He just needs to eat less because he has some indigestion."
Xia Manni: “…”
Big Baby: “…”
Erwa, Sanwa and Sinier don’t quite understand what indigestion means, but they all know what it means to eat less.
Erwa said unconvincedly: "Grandpa Sun, I don't eat much. Many times I haven't been full."
As Erwa spoke, he kicked the local dog that had been pestering him under the table with his little feet.
"Oh? You've already accumulated food if you haven't eaten enough. Then you can only eat half full from now on."
Erwa: "I..."
Before he could finish speaking, Xia Manni picked him up.
Okay, she knows that the healthiest thing to do is to eat too much.
Finally, it was Da Wa's turn. Doctor Sun took a much longer time to feel Da Wa's pulse.
It even took longer to take the pulse than the second, third and fourth children combined.
When Doctor Sun stopped, he sighed inadvertently.
"Doctor Sun, how is Da Wa?" Xia Manni asked nervously.
"Well, to be honest, the one who needs to take care of his health the most among these four children is the eldest. He was born prematurely and wasn't properly taken care of. He's falling behind in every aspect today."
Sure enough, it was pretty much what Xia Manni thought.
The eldest child must have been born with a weak constitution, a condition he'd been born with. Add to that the carelessness he'd received, and since his mother passed away, he'd been constantly working and taking care of the household, practically treating himself like an adult.
This is what Doctor Sun meant. Doesn't that mean that Da Wa has many illnesses that need treatment?
"Doctor Sun, I understand what you're saying. Could you please tell me what treatment is most important for Da Wa?"
Doctor Sun stroked his beard, thought for a moment, and said, "Let's regulate the spleen and stomach first, then the liver fire, and finally the heart and lungs."
Boy, is there anything good about this?
Xia Manni's heart tightened. It seemed that the eldest child was just young, so many problems were not obvious. If he didn't take care of it quickly, who knew what problems would arise in the future.
She kept feeling sorry when she thought that such a smart and sharp kid would be plagued by illness in the future.
