Chapter 5: Lord Demon's Space Travel

The Shadow Guardians were devastated, they had no idea what was going on.

Five hours ago, the Shadow Guardian was ordered to come and keep an eye on the doctor who was causing trouble in the demon world to prevent him from escaping.

During these five hours, the famous high-ranking guardian of the demon world had sent away several demons who wanted to come to the doctor's house in order to keep an eye on him, and had also been closely monitoring the snake spirit's every move to prevent the stupid snake from stealing the food of the Demon Lord.

Honestly, when Shadow Guardian saw Simon remain calm and continue the interview despite the snake demon's threat, he was deeply impressed by this human. Only a human who remained calm in the face of danger was worthy of being eaten by the Demon Lord.

But... but in just five short hours, how come Lord Demon suddenly appeared in his original form, and as a little kitten? It would have been fine if he was just a little kitten, but he was actually... carried back to the bedroom by that doctor.

"What should we do? Do we still need a guardian?" asked the shadow guardian.

"Who knows? Let's just wait and see... Maybe turning back into his original form and eating the doctor is a special eating habit of His Majesty?" answered another shadow guardian.

Two dark shadows waited silently and quietly under the light of the night light.

At this moment, in Simon's bedroom, a pure black kitten without a single stray hair was standing imposingly on the railing at the head of the bed, looking down at the sleeping young man.

"Oh! So that's what that doctor looks like!" The little black cat raised his chin slightly with an air of contempt, thinking disdainfully: "The Complete Guide to Cultivation" should be the eternally supreme manual in the demon world! "Self-Treatment for Depression" is such an evil heresy that it should be executed on the spot!

When he thought of this, Lord Demon looked down at the young man on the bed.

Handsome face, beautiful back, flexible waist, slender thighs...

"Since you have caught my eye, I will let you live for two more days before I start practicing the Dharma!" The little black cat thought silently, then licked its paws and fell from the head of the bed, landing on the young man's belly.

The little black cat stepped on the belly of the sleeping young man with its claws and fell asleep.

Lord Demon has encountered many things today and is so tired. What he needs most is to lie on the human's belly and have a good sleep.

When Simon woke up the next morning, he found the kitten he'd picked up in the middle of the night, sprawled out on his stomach, sound asleep. Its pink lips were slightly parted, and the two soft whiskers beside its mouth were just so adorable.

So Simon reached out and touched the kitten's head, and poked its whiskers with his fingertips.

The little kitten half-closed its eyes, hummed, and raised its chin.

Simon understood and rubbed its chin with his fingertips, and the kitten closed its eyes again, looking very happy.

The early morning sun shone through the window, casting a halo of light over the kitten's body. Simon's heart softened for no reason, and he was a little reluctant to throw the kitten away.

So he rubbed the kitten's head, picked it up carefully and placed it next to his pillow.

The kitten purred softly and changed its position to continue sleeping.

Simon got up, dressed, rinsed his mouth and washed his face.

After getting himself ready, Simon opened the door, took a few deep breaths in the yard, and then walked to the door of his own clinic.

The day's work officially begins!

There was only one patient this morning, a little boy with balloon phobia. He would tremble with fear and cry loudly when he saw balloons in the mall. After four treatments, he was basically cured. Today was the last time.

As soon as the little boy entered the door, he hugged Simon's waist, called him uncle happily, and rubbed his big head against Simon.

The child's mother was sitting on a bench in the street garden, feeling somewhat bored, waiting for the treatment, when she accidentally caught a glimpse of a black kitten.

The kitten looked barely a month old, its fur barely fully grown, a soft, tangled mess. It stood outside the closed door, seemingly trying to push it open. But it was locked, and the kitten was too small. After several unsuccessful attempts, it meowed anxiously toward the door.

"Meow!" Ming Huan was filled with resentment as he stared at the door.

"Damn it, I can't even open a door like this!" Ming Huan narrowed his green eyes slightly and made an empty claw towards the air again.

It was a shame that the Dragon Subduing Claw, which used to be able to destroy the world and make corpses float for thousands of miles, could not be used after he was beaten back to his original form. He could only watch helplessly as the door remained intact.

"Meow!!" Ming Huan roared angrily, then wisely gave up.

Two shadows arrived at the kitten's side in time, disguised as its shadow, and asked worriedly.

"Master Demon, what's wrong with you?"

"Why did you transform into your original form to see this doctor?"

"How come the doctor is still alive? Didn't you eat him last night?"

The little black cat glanced coldly at its own shadow, and the two shadow guards wisely shut up.

This is a bad year! Ming Huan thought.

After a thousand years of seclusion, his magical powers increased greatly, and he thought that there was nothing in the world that he could not defeat. Who knew... In these thousand years, the world changed so fast, so fast that even a Demon Lord could hardly imagine it.

A thousand years ago, Ming Huan was in seclusion. His greatest wish at the time was to reach the peak of the Spiritual Transformation Stage, thereby breaking through the boundaries of time and space and ascending to the heavens.

However, when he emerged a thousand years later and flew into the sky, he discovered—what the hell were those flying around in outer space? Why were there suddenly so many masters in the Spiritual Transformation Stage?

It took Ming Huan some time to figure out that those things in outer space, even on Mars, had no life - they were actually puppets made by humans.

Not only that, humans can also use these puppets to travel freely in space.

God knows how much time and suffering Ming Huan endured before he could cultivate to the level of traveling in space.

Yet, humans have achieved this in less than a hundred years!!!

Ming Huan felt that his view of demons had been overturned.

However, this is just a small subversion.

But when he was traveling in space, he was somehow discovered by those untrained humans. Not only were they discovered, but those humans actually attacked him.

A round, oddly shaped object rushed towards him.

Ming Huan didn't know it was an attack at first. After all, although it was quite fast, the thing was lifeless, had no fluctuation of mana, and didn't even have any murderous aura.

So Ming Huan grabbed the thing and took a look.

However, after just a glance, the strange thing suddenly exploded, shaking the defenseless Ming Huan all over. He fell to the lower realm without even having time to open the protective shield.

Later, Ming Huan learned that the thing was also developed by humans. It was called a space weapon. It was said that it could blow up a small satellite. It seemed to be called a space neutron bomb.

Well, Ming Huan had experienced this level of damage before. If he had suffered this kind of injury before his retreat, he would have needed ten days to recover. But after coming out of retreat, his cultivation had improved. In just a breath, he was able to quickly replenish the spiritual energy of heaven and earth and recover instantly.

So Ming Huan fell to the ground without any nervousness, and was stunned between breaths.

Ming Huan remembered clearly that before his retreat, Earth's spiritual energy was abundant. He only needed to absorb the essence of heaven and earth to cultivate. But now...what had happened to this world? There was actually—not a single spiritual energy!

Ming Huan took several deep breaths, and then he was extremely certain - during the thousand years of his seclusion, something must have changed on Earth, causing the spiritual energy to plummet to almost nothing.

Without spiritual energy replenishment, it would be difficult to recover quickly. Ming Huan could only silently swallow a mouthful of blood, planning to give up the trouble of finding a psychiatrist for the time being and find a place to rest for a month or two. He could still rely on his body to recover.

As a result, just when Ming Huan was preparing to recuperate, he encountered his former enemy - the ancient monk Zibai Zhenren.

The grudge between Ming Huan and Master Zibai could not be told in days and nights. In a nutshell, the Demon Lord, who was shot down by a bullet in space and could not recover immediately, was spotted by his nemesis.

Then there was a life-and-death struggle.

Although Master Zibai was seriously injured, Lord Demon was temporarily unable to transform into a human form and could only walk the world in his original form.

It's actually easy for a cat to survive in the world. Moreover, injuries of this magnitude can be healed in a month or two. By then, with a little more caution, he could still overthrow the world and do whatever he wants. This kind of thing is easy for the Demon Lord Ming Huan.

The rare thing is - this cat is not very lucky.

Minghuan met the staff of the stray animal shelter.

The unfortunate, dirty, and patchy black cat was caged as a stray animal. Not only was it caged, but it was also fed unappetizing cat food.

Ming Huan sighed deeply at night, and used the remaining magic power to transform again and left the animal shelter, but he turned into a little black cat and could not change back for the time being.

Such a little black cat is very dangerous. Ming Huan, the Demon Lord, was very aware of this. He stood on the dark road and pondered the distance he would have to go to return to the Demon Cave. He knew that it was too far, and his current mana was not enough to summon the shadow guardian in the Demon Cave.

But fortunately, this place is not far from the legendary "psychologist who disturbs the demon world", and even more fortunately, he had arranged two shadow guards in advance to look after the doctor.

So the little kitten came to the psychologist's house and summoned his shadow guardian.

However, the shadow protector was not summoned, but a handsome and elegant psychologist was summoned, and this doctor actually grabbed the boy's neck and dragged him back home!

Of course, Ming Huan would not tell such an embarrassing thing. He just told the two shadow guardians that there was a small problem with the rejuvenation method that he was practicing, so he was only temporarily rejuvenated. You should notify the other shadow guardians and ask them to come and protect him.

After the Shadow Protector used the Thousand Mile Sound Transmission Technique to inform the other protectors, Ming Huan concluded that this incident was an unlucky year.

This is really - an unlucky day!

Ming Huan looked at the tightly closed wooden door and sighed helplessly.

The two shadow guardians looked at each other.

What did they just hear? The Demon Lord sighed! ! ! !

You know, they've followed the Demon Lord for tens of thousands of years, but they've never even heard him sigh!

"Your Majesty...what's wrong with you?" a shadow guardian asked cautiously.

Another shadow guardian followed the black cat's gaze and looked towards the door of the psychological clinic, then said more cautiously, "Your Excellency, you don't look very happy. They say it's depression. How about... going in and talking to a psychiatrist?"
