Chapter 2: Wei Shuqing suffers a miscarriage; the Wei family army enters the fray.

Qi Zhijun hurriedly carried Wei Shuqing to the hospital. When the doctor saw that the woman was covered in blood, he knew that the situation required emergency treatment.

Qi Zhijun was stopped at the door. After a while, the doctor came out and said, "The pregnant woman was more than two months pregnant, but the fetus could not be saved. An embryo was found in her pants. Judging from the wounds on her abdomen and body, the miscarriage was caused by external force."

Qi Zhijun exclaimed incredulously, "You're saying my wife is pregnant? The embryo is in her pants? What do you mean by that?"

The doctor glared at him and said, "Someone violently hit your wife's abdomen, legs, and body. The fetus in her womb had already been expelled before you came to the hospital; it was already in her pants."

Qi Zhijun, pale-faced, retreated a few steps to the wall, leaned against it, and slowly squatted down. This time, he finally understood that Wei Shuqing's miscarriage was caused by her three nephews.

What was he doing at that time? Holding the child, he was agitated and thought she was really annoying. Every day it was about the hen, the eggs, or a bite of food, making a ruckus at home. But when he saw her lying pale and bloodied in a pool of blood, he really panicked. Did Shuqing know that the baby in her belly was gone? The embryo had leaked out of her pants. He would never forget that for the rest of his life.

Thinking of this, he lowered his head, clutching his hair with both hands to force himself to calm down. He couldn't panic now. But he didn't have much time. The nurse pushed the hospital bed out and said to him, "Go and pay the hospital fees. The pregnant woman can't leave today; she needs to be observed."

Looking at Wei Shuqing's vacant eyes, Qi Zhijun couldn't bear it and went downstairs to pay the hospital fees. When they got to the ward, Wei Shuqing said to the nurse, "Please write a medical record for me. I want those who hurt me to pay for my child's life."

The nurse looked at Wei Shuqing with sympathy and agreed. Wei Shuqing stroked her abdomen with both hands, recalling the strange book in her dream. The book clearly recorded that she already had two sons at that time, but now her eldest son was not even a year and a half old, and this undeveloped child had been miscarried. Could there have been some unforeseen event? The year was wrong, her child was wrong, but every person and event in the Qi family was recorded.

Thinking of that hypocritical Qi mother, who used a house to bind her to not remarrying after the divorce, only to take the house back in the end, filled her with anger. She also thought that if Qi Zhijun was destined to cheat, then losing the child might not be such a bad thing. But this time, she wanted a house that truly belonged to her.

Qi Zhijun paid the hospital fees and came over, not daring to look at Wei Shuqing. He looked around and said, "I...I..." Wei Shuqing remembered that when those three bastards knocked her down and kicked her, this man was just as indifferent as the Qi family and didn't even come out to check on her.

Suddenly overcome with rage, she ignored the pain in her abdomen, got up, and slapped Qi Zhijun several times, yelling, "Qi Zhijun, are you even a man? I'm carrying your child! You just watched me get beaten like this, are you even human? I'm so unlucky to have married you! I'll beat you to death, you spineless coward!" Qi Zhijun didn't dare to dodge and could only plead in a low voice, "Shuqing, Shuqing, please stop, stop! You just had a miscarriage, you can't get agitated."

As they were talking, Wei Shuqing started bleeding again, and Qi Zhijun shouted, "Doctor, doctor, hurry!"

Wei Shuqing was then taken back into the operating room. It was already past midnight when she came out. After seeing that she was asleep, I asked the nurse to keep an eye on her for a while before I went home.

Hearing the commotion, the Qi couple quickly got up, went to the main room, lit the lamp, and when Qi Zhijun came in, there was a handprint on his face with several bloody marks. Qi's mother said anxiously, "Xiao Wei hit you? How could you hit him in the face! How will you face people tomorrow?"

Mr. Qi sighed unhappily and said, "How could this happen? Where's Xiao Wei? Why didn't he come back with you?"

Qi Zhijun lowered his head and said, "He's still in the hospital and needs to be observed overnight. He shouldn't be back until tomorrow. Everyone, go back to sleep! It's too late. We can talk about it tomorrow!" Not wanting to say more, he went back to his room and lay on the bed. Qi Zhijun couldn't imagine what kind of crazy Wei Shuqing would become at home. He was caught in a dilemma!

Before long, it was dawn. When Qi Zhijun woke up, his mother saw that he had finished washing up. She ladled out a bowl of millet porridge and handed it to him. Then she scraped the bottom of the jar, scooped out a little brown sugar, poured it into the porridge, and sighed, saying, "Take this to Xiao Wei! We're out of eggs at home, so let's drink this brown sugar millet porridge to nourish our blood. She didn't give me her salary yesterday, so I'm out of money too."

Qi Zhijun hummed in agreement, finished the porridge in two gulps, and left with it.

When he arrived at the hospital, he found Wei Shuqing still fast asleep. He placed the thermos on the bedside table, left a note, and left.

At this point, anything you say will be wrong; you can only hide for now.

When Wei Shu woke up, she looked at the porridge on the bedside table, opened it, and sneered. Even so, they didn't bother to add an egg. What was she expecting? Might as well drink it. She slurped it down, then realized something was wrong and went downstairs to call her mother.

When I got back, I was still thinking about myself in that book. This time, something didn't seem right. The Wei family was a large family. Although my mother was a widow and I only had one older brother, my family was big, with many cousins, uncles, and other relatives. It was hard to believe that I could be bullied like that by the Qi family.

Then she sat in the ward waiting for the Wei family to arrive. In the afternoon, the Wei family arrived in a large group of more than 20 people. Leading the way was Wei's mother, a middle-aged woman of medium build and slightly plump, who looked clean and tidy. She entered the ward with red eyes and said, "My silly girl! How did you become like this?"

Everyone couldn't help but shed tears when they saw Wei Shuqing, who was so fresh and radiant two and a half years ago, now so thin and bony, with a sallow complexion and short, dry, split-end yellow hair.
