Qi Zhijun watched Xiao Cui leave and followed closely behind. Xiao Cui didn't say much. When they arrived at the restaurant, the two of them ordered two bowls of wontons and two meat pies.
After finishing their meal, they all went to work. At this point, Qi Zhijun forgot that his mother hadn't eaten meat in a long time either.
Zhao Dahu took Wei Shuqing to her workplace, and the two went to their respective seats as soon as they entered the factory.
She didn't know what kind of luck she had today. After finishing her morning's work, she ran into Qi Zhifang on her way to lunch. Qi Zhifang had injuries on her face and a bandage on her forehead. Enemies meeting are bound to be hostile, and Qi Zhifang looked at her with eyes that seemed to want to devour her whole.
If looks could kill, Wei Shuqing would probably have been shot through by now. Then, Wei Shuqing glanced at Qi Zhifang as if she were looking at a lunatic and tried to leave, but Qi Zhifang stopped her.
"You're so smug, aren't you!" A sudden remark stunned Wei Shuqing. She took two steps back in disgust, about to walk away, when Qi Zhifang blocked her way, staring intently at Wei Shuqing and growling in a low voice, "Do you know how much I hate you? You're always causing trouble at home, fighting over food and drink. Now you're living the life you want, as fat as a pig. Is this the life you've been pursuing? You're a jinx! You've ruined our whole family!"
Wei Shuqing looked at Qi Zhifang with an expression that seemed to say, "Do you have some kind of mental illness?"
He sighed, looking at Qi Zhifang with no desire to talk to her, "A good dog doesn't block the way!"
Qi Zhifang, as if possessed, was determined to get revenge on Wei Shuqing for the loss she suffered at the hands of those people today. "What? You dare to do it but not admit it! If you hadn't been so competitive and demanding, would our family be like this? Would I be in this state today? Fangfang wouldn't be like this either. You're a jinx. You earn so much money, what's wrong with letting us use some? You married into the Qi family, so the money you earn belongs to the Qi family! You're making such a fuss over a few bites of food..."
Wei Shuqing exhaled a breath of stale air and crossed her arms. "I don't even want to talk to you. Are you a maggot? You're an ugly toad with chicken feathers stuck in your skin. What kind of beast are you pretending to be? Wasn't it your time to be juggling eight boats and having affairs? If you're bored and have no other options, go and manage your good daughter. Wang Fang is finished, but there's still Wang Hong, isn't there? You can't let people mention your mother and daughter and say they're both sluts, can you?"
"What are you pretending for? How dare you talk to me like that, you divorced slut? You're just showing off because you found a cook, aren't you? You eat like a pig..." Qi Zhifang clenched her fists in anger, her eyes red, wishing she could tear Wei Shuqing apart.
Wei Shuqing slapped him across the face. "I've been giving you face. People don't do evil, so heaven won't punish them. You're just asking for trouble every day! You're already sweeping the streets and you still won't stop. Damn it, you'll be sweeping the toilets tomorrow. You like men, don't you? You'll be sweeping all the men's toilets in all six factory areas!"
Qi Zhifang was no match for Wei Shuqing, who weighed over 140 pounds. Wei Shuqing completely dominated her. Then the security team arrived and asked, "What's going on with Officer Wei?"
Wei Shuqing pointed at Qi Zhifang and said, "She's like a mad dog, always blocking my way and yelling at me! I think she's just too idle. Tell the personnel department to put her in charge of the toilet sanitation in all six factory areas!"
"Okay, the toilet cleaning job is done, let's replace her. I'll talk to the personnel department right away!" The security team member said politely to Wei Shuqing. Wei Shuqing glanced contemptuously at Qi Zhifang lying on the ground with a murderous look in her eyes, sneered, and left.
Zhao Dahu found out about this before he even got off work. He was furious, but Qi Zhifang had dirtied her hands and cursed at her. After thinking for a moment, he whispered a few words to his apprentice, Huang Zhenhua. Huang Zhenhua chuckled and said, "Alright! Master, just you wait and see!" Then he ran off.
Qi Zhifang was furious. She hadn't expected Wei Shuqing to be so ruthless. When she got home, she soon saw Wang Fang being carried in again. This time, she wasn't thrown in. She quickly went over and took her in. The other woman said, "Come pick her up at nine o'clock tomorrow morning. Don't even think about running away, or we'll arrest your whole family!"
Qi Zhifang opened her mouth but didn't say anything, and helped Wang Fang back.
She wiped her face, fed Wang Fang her medicine, and then Qi's mother cooked a thick porridge with all the sugar she had at home. When Wang Fang got up, she drank a bowl of porridge.
The next day, before dawn, Wang Fang sat in front of the mirror and tidied herself up, even getting her uneven hair cut.
"When the heart cannot find its home, and the soul cannot find its body, then we await the ravages of death!" Wang Fang packed her luggage and went to the meeting point alone. She didn't want her family to see her in such a disheveled state again.
[A disclaimer: The reason for this is that I'm a newbie author and only started reading comments these past two days. I found that some readers said my character settings were bad, disgusting, stupid, a waste of time travel and rebirth, and not a satisfying read. I even looked up what a satisfying read is.]
Result: I'll now give a unified response. In this story, Wei Shuqing is neither a time traveler nor a reincarnated character. She doesn't have any cheat codes or spatial abilities, and it's not a wish-fulfillment story. I don't read that kind of story much, and my imagination isn't that wild. I simply wrote about what I felt was a sense of unfulfilled regret. The background is that Wei Shuqing one day had a dream where a character's name and the events in a script were very similar to her family situation. This led her to reflect and try to find her own way in life. She deviated slightly from the plot's trajectory, pursuing her own peace and happiness. This contrasts sharply with the chaotic life of the Qi family. You can criticize me for writing too much about the Qi family, making the female lead, Wei Shuqing, a supporting character. This is acceptable because I wrote it on a whim, filling in information randomly. Many people have also noticed the numerous typos in the beginning, because I wrote it in a hurry.
