卡多克丢下了这一句话，然后拿起自己的大剑直接离开了，在战场之上没有一个敌兵敢阻挡卡多克的路，维吉亚士兵原本就不愿意和卡多克作战，在军队当中只有马尔塔斯可以和卡多克一战。
马尔塔斯却也没有步步紧逼，他知道卡多克已经准备开始撤退了，自己和卡多克再打下去就没有任何的意义，况且现在这一个战场之上马尔塔斯也没有十足的把握可以可以打倒卡多克，更为重要的是，卡多克还有更大的利用价值，尽管卡多克他并不知道自己已经被敌人所利用了。
很快，多鲁波耶就命令一部分手下放火烧掉营长，接着就开始发号施令让士兵开始撤退，在漆黑的黑夜当中，卡多克那愤怒的双眼死死的盯住马尔塔斯。
就是他今天晚上最后看马尔塔斯一眼了，下一次的时候，卡多克决定一定要杀掉马尔塔斯。
