Extra Chapter: Don't You Miss Me? (1/2)

"Lin, may I ask you a few questions?"

The bell rang, signaling the end of get out of class.

A boy with short, black hair ran out in pursuit of Lin Yuxi. He wore a headband and was carrying a stack of books. He was 1.85 meters tall, half a head taller than Lin Yuxi.

"Sang, is something the matter?"

Lin Yuxi looked at the newcomer, Sang Yelin, a genius student from the medical school, and kept her distance from him.

After graduating from university, her second major was Traditional Chinese Medicine. Thanks to the foundation she had built up in her previous life, she was already studying TCM courses on her own while in university.

Sang Yelin had fair skin and nervously gripped the book, her knuckles turning red from the force. Her voice was soft as she asked, "I want to ask about a few key points from today's class."

After he finished speaking, his breathing became a little rapid, as if he was afraid that the other party would refuse.

"I read several papers last night, so I was a little distracted in class today. If it's inconvenient for you, then it's okay."

“Student Sang Yelin”.

Sang Yelin's eyes lit up instantly, clearly not expecting the other party to remember his name.

Lin Yuxi took out what she had written from her pocket and handed it to him. "This should be enough for you. I need to spend the weekend with my husband and child, so you can return it to me next week."

Long, slender, and rounded fingertips reached out in front of him, carrying a thick notebook. The elegant handwriting on the notebook instantly captivated him.

"good."

Sang Yelin lowered his head and replied in a hoarse voice.

The girl turned around, her long, smooth hair carrying the fragrance of gardenias, which smelled wonderful.

After Lin Yuxi's figure disappeared, Sang Yelin stood there for a long time, unable to come back to his senses, and did not utter a single word of invitation.

“I’ve already told you that Lin is married. You should at least find another place to ask her for notes every now and then. She’s already made it clear enough that she’s refusing. Can’t you see that?”

A person stood behind him, unscrewed the kettle, and took a sip.

Sang Yelin gripped his notebook tightly and remained silent.

"They were already married back in college, and they're a loving couple. They just didn't want to say anything too harsh because they were classmates. If I were her husband, I'd probably put you in a sack and beat you up."

Sang Yelin lowered his head and looked at the notes in his hand. He admitted that he was definitely jealous, but he just wanted to get closer to her and didn't intend to fight for anything. Looking at Lin Yuxi, he always wanted to get closer to her without realizing it.

"I know what you mean, I have no intention of arguing about anything."

"If you're not planning to compete for anything, then you should keep your distance from others. Why are you always trying to get close to her?"

"I see."

"I won't do that again."

He had heard these words of advice countless times.

At the school gate, Lin Yuxi saw the familiar car and ran over.

Gu Siyan's head popped out of the car window, "Mom!"

"School's out so early today? Mom was saying she'd rush over to pick you up, you little rascal." Lin Yuxi opened the car door and got in.

Gu Siyan is four years old, which is the age to start kindergarten.

"I'm taking a day off tomorrow, so I'll take you guys out for some fun. Is there anywhere you'd like to go?" Gu Chen took a bouquet of flowers and a cake from the passenger seat and handed them to Lin Yuxi.

Lin Yuxi smiled and quickly kissed the corner of his lips.

Gu Chen smiled indulgently and then started the car.

This scene was clearly seen by Sang Yelin, who had just walked out of the teaching building, and the person next to him patted him on the shoulder.

Learn to let go.

Lin Yuxi is quite well-known at the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital because she has made many contributions to the field of agriculture. Although she is not considered a genius in medical school, her abilities are still quite high.
