Chapter 152 We Killed Grandpa!
"Madam, let's go back." When the aunt came out with a blanket and an insulated box, Wu Ling had already left.
Seeing Wen Liang's shocked and painful expression, she was in a good mood and left triumphantly after achieving her goal.
But Wen Liang clenched his fists tightly and sat there without saying a word.
Seeing Wen Liang didn't respond, the aunt called out again: "Madam?"
Wen Liang came back to his senses, took a deep breath, and nodded, "Well, let's go back first."
The aunt glanced at Wen Liang's expression and felt that the lady seemed different from before.
Back in the villa, Auntie wanted to help Wen Liang go upstairs, but Wen Liang refused. She sat down on the sofa and said, "I'll wait for Fu Zheng to come back."
The aunt nodded, said nothing, and went about her own business.
At around three o'clock in the afternoon, a black car drove into the villa.
Fu Zheng turned off the engine, leaned back in his chair, raised his hand wearing a steel watch and rubbed his brows, then took out the key, pushed the door open and got out of the car.
He walked into the living room steadily with his long legs and saw Wen Liang leaning on the sofa, covered with a blanket, his pupils dilated, staring blankly at one place.
Fu Zheng placed the car keys on the table, bent his legs and sat down next to Wen Liang. "Why are you lying here? Should I carry you upstairs?"
Wen Liang seemed to have just discovered him. His eyes focused and slowly moved to him. His voice was calm and a little strange. "Are you back? Don't rush up. I have something to ask you."
His face looked a little tired. "What?"
"How did grandpa die?" Wen Liang looked straight into Fu Zheng's eyes and asked softly.
Fu Zheng paused, closed his eyes, and rubbed his forehead. "Didn't I tell you? Grandpa is already seriously ill and won't have much time left..."
"You're still lying to me!"
Hearing this, Fu Zheng opened his eyes and met Wen Liang's cold gaze, and suddenly felt a chill in his heart.
Even when they had quarreled before, Wen Liang felt resentment and anger, but she had never looked at him with such a cold gaze.
Fu Zheng closed his eyes and was about to speak when he heard Wen Liang ask, "Did Grandpa meet Chu Siyi before he passed away?"
Fu Zheng pursed his lips and nodded gently, "Yes."
The tense string in Wen Liang's heart just broke, and tears flowed down her cheeks.
She didn't want to believe Wu Ling's words.
But she understood that what Wu Ling said was true.
Grandpa went to see Chu Siyi for her marriage, but he couldn't hold on any longer.
How does she deserve it?
How can I deserve to be treated like this by my grandfather?
The last time grandpa was hospitalized, he used his body to buy her a chance to get along well with Fu Zheng.
This time, grandpa still sacrificed his life for her.
If she separated from Fu Zheng, her grandfather would not have died, so she would rather have never been with Fu Zheng.
Why is there no if in the world?
She had never regretted it so much before. She regretted falling in love with Fu Zheng and regretted marrying Fu Zheng.
She made grandpa worry about her until his death.
Fu Zheng looked at Wen Liang's tears, frowned deeply, stretched out his big hand to wipe the tears from Wen Liang's face, "Don't cry, it has nothing to do with you, it's my fault..."
Does it really have nothing to do with her?
Even Fu Zheng didn't know why his grandfather met Chu Siyi. It seemed that the only explanation was that his grandfather forced Chu Siyi to leave in order to protect their marriage.
Wen Liang pushed his hand away, her eyes red and her voice cold, "Don't comfort me anymore. You and I both know why Grandpa wants to see Chu Siyi."
She raised her head and looked into Fu Zheng's eyes with great solemnity. Her eyes were as calm as dead water, without any ripples. "Fu Zheng, we killed grandpa!"
"Don't be like this, Aliang..."
Fu Zheng has always only looked to the future and did not care about the past.
Anyway, grandpa is dead.
The most important thing now is to let Wen Liang get over her sadness and take good care of her pregnancy. She shouldn't get stuck in a dead end and live her life in self-blame and guilt.
Unfortunately, Wen Liang is a sentimental and thoughtful person, and cannot easily let go of the past.
She closed her eyes, her face tense, and wiped the tears from her face. She looked at Fu Zheng and said, "I want to see Chu Siyi."
"Don't mess around, you need to rest now!"
Wen Liang turned a deaf ear to him and sat up straight. "I want to see Chu Siyi. I want to find him and ask him clearly! I want to avenge my grandfather!"
Seeing that Fu Zheng was unmoved, Wen Liang stood up and walked out, "If you don't let me see him, I'll go see him myself!"
"Aliang!"
Fu Zheng walked up to Wen Liang in two or three steps and stretched out his arm to stop her. "Chu Siyi is not in the hospital now. She left the hospital a few days ago and has been missing for a long time. I have sent people to look for her. Go back upstairs and rest. I will tell you when I find her!"
Wen Liang looked at Fu Zheng with a cold sneer as if he had heard something funny. "Would you be willing to let her leave you? You're still protecting her? Why? Are you afraid that I'll kill her?"
Wen Liang didn't believe Fu Zheng's words at all and insisted on walking out.
Fu Zheng hugged Wen Liang and said, "Calm down!"
Wen Liang struggled hard, her head was dizzy and tears couldn't stop flowing. She just wanted to find Chu Siyi to get things clear.
She spoke incoherently, "I'm calm! It's you, Fu Zheng, you've been carried away by Chu Siyi! You like her so much that you don't even care about grandpa's life?! If you want to find an excuse, find a good one. With your methods, how could you not find her?"
Fu Zheng clamped Wen Liang's hands, picked her up without saying a word, and walked upstairs.
Wen Liang was no match for Fu Zheng in terms of physical strength. Seeing that he easily carried her upstairs, she burst into tears and bit his neck, causing it to bleed. "Fu Zheng! Your conscience has been eaten by a dog! Put me down! Grandpa loves you so much, and you are still protecting the culprit who killed him!"
"Put me down! I want to see Chu Siyi! I want to ask her everything! Let me go!"
"You have no right to restrict my behavior! I want to divorce you!"
“…”
Amid Wen Liang's cries, Fu Zheng carried her into the master bedroom and put her on the bed.
Wen Liang immediately jumped up from the bed, but was pinned down by Fu Zheng again.
He leaned over and whispered in her ear, "Aliang! You're emotionally unstable right now. Calm down first, and then we'll talk."
"I'm calm, I want to leave, you have no right to stop me..."
"Where are you going?" When Fu Zheng heard her making a fuss about leaving, he felt panicked and his face became even darker.
"It's none of your business!"
Fu Zheng said nothing, stood up with a gloomy face and left the master bedroom.
Wen Liang stood up and followed Fu Zheng out, but was blocked by the closed door of the master bedroom.
Wen Liang immediately pulled the door handle and tried to open it, but he couldn't pull it open.
She was so angry that she punched the door twice and shouted, "Fu Zheng, let me out! You bastard!"
In response to Wen Liang's voice, there was the sound of keys jingling, followed by a "click" as the door was locked from the outside.
Wen Liang was so angry that she started crying and kicked the door hard, "Fu Zheng, open the door for me! Take me to see Chu Siyi! Don't make me hate you!"
Fu Zheng whispered to the door, "Aliang, you are very emotional now. I can't let you go. I can only tell you that I didn't lie to you. Chu Siyi is missing. When I find her, I will tell you as soon as possible. You should have a good rest and stop making trouble!"
After saying that, he turned and went downstairs.
The aunt was startled by their movement and looked at the stairs to the second floor worriedly. Seeing Fu Zheng coming down, she was about to ask something when she heard Fu Zheng say, "No matter what the madam says, don't open the door for her. Wait until I come back and we'll talk about it."
"OK."
Auntie nodded blankly.
When Wen Liang heard Fu Zheng's footsteps leaving, he felt so angry that his heart ached, and he slid down to sit with his back against the door.
Suddenly, she felt a dull pain in her abdomen!
Wen Liang had a bad feeling in his heart!
She covered her abdomen with one hand and pounded the door with the other, shouting anxiously, "Fu Zheng! Open the door! Fu Zheng! My stomach hurts, open the door!"
