Chapter 2 Divorce
"It's me."
"You've been drinking..."
"Yeah, I had a few drinks with my friends."
The sound of a shower came from the bathroom. Wen Liang frowned and turned over, sleeping uneasily.
The bed beside me collapsed.
A big hand fell on her waist, moving down along her graceful curves, ready to take action.
"Well... not tonight..." Wen Liang stopped him with her eyes closed, half asleep and half awake.
Subconsciously afraid of hurting the child.
The big hand paused and fell on her back, "Go to sleep."
Wenliang was so sleepy that he fell asleep quickly.
In the morning, when Wen Liang woke up, there was no warmth around him, and only the slightly wrinkled bed sheets proved that the person next to him had come back last night.
She was a little annoyed. Why did she fall asleep last night?
It’s okay, the same applies today.
After Wen Liang finished washing up, she went to the cloakroom and picked out a white suit for Fu Zheng. Thinking that her pregnancy was a happy event, she also chose a red striped tie and placed it at the end of the bed.
Fu Zheng had returned from his morning run and was sitting on the sofa in his home clothes. He looked up at Wen Liang who was coming down the stairs and put down the documents in his hand. "Let's eat."
After breakfast, Wen Liang took a deep breath, with a hint of joy and anticipation on his face, "A Zheng, I have something to tell you."
If he knew they were going to have a child, he would probably be happy, right?
"I have something to tell you too." Fu Zheng said in a calm tone.
"Then you speak first." Wen Liang's sweet smile was accompanied by a hint of shyness.
"Wen Liang, let's...get a divorce." Fu Zheng stood up, picked up the documents on the sofa and handed them over. "This is the divorce agreement. Take a look at it first. If you have any questions, I'll do my best to meet them."
Wen Liang's heart stopped for a moment, and he looked at Fu Zheng in surprise.
My mind went blank for a while, thinking I had misheard.
After a long while, she finally found her voice. Her lips moved as she hesitantly repeated the word, "Divorce?"
He wants to divorce her?
Everything was fine, why are you suddenly getting divorced?
There was no warning, catching her off guard.
"We were plotted against that night and had no choice but to get married. We didn't make it public. If that's the case, we might as well end it sooner rather than later." Fu Zheng said calmly, as if he was talking about a trivial daily matter.
Wen Liang's face was pale and he felt a chill all around him.
My heart felt like it was being tightly gripped by a large hand, making it difficult to breathe.
No, no.
She had loved him for nine years.
He first came to the Fu family at the age of sixteen and achieved success in his career by the age of twenty-five.
From the beginning of her love to three years of marriage, it spanned her youthful years.
She had no compulsion to do it; she enjoyed it.
But for him, it was a last resort.
She swallowed hard, took a deep breath, stared at him, and tried to keep her voice calm, "Haven't we been getting along very well these past three years? Have you really decided? To...divorce me?" The word "divorce" was spoken with heavy pain.
"It's decided."
"Grandpa and grandma..."
"I'll make it clear."
“What if I…” get pregnant?
He seemed a little impatient and interrupted her, "Siyi has returned home."
Wen Liang's breathing stopped. These words were like a knife piercing her heart, and blood flowed out.
She took the divorce agreement woodenly and heard herself say mechanically, "Okay, let me take a look."
Being plotted against or getting married out of necessity is not the point.
The key point is the last sentence.
Chu Siyi returned to China.
