Chapter 25 How are the children?
After an unknown amount of time, Wen Liang woke up in the darkness and the first thing he smelled was disinfectant.
Wen Liang opened his eyes, looked around, and realized that he was in a hospital ward.
"Wenliang, are you awake? How do you feel?"
When Wen Liang opened his eyes, he saw Fu Zheng's handsome face.
Wenliang's hand unconsciously rested on his abdomen.
"Not bad." She glanced out the window and saw that it was already dark.
Just then, her stomach growled twice.
"Are you hungry? Should I ask someone to bring you some food?"
"I'm afraid it's too slow. I'm very hungry now. Can you go downstairs and buy it for me?" Wen Liang looked up at him.
It was the first time that Fu Zheng saw Wen Liang with such a soft and obedient expression. He nodded subconsciously, "Okay, I'll go buy it for you. Be careful in the ward. Call the nurse if you need anything. Don't get out of bed at will."
Wen Liang nodded.
After Fu Zheng left, Wen Liang rang the bell, and a nurse came soon. "Does the patient need anything? Or are you feeling unwell?"
"Nurse, I want to know if my child..."
"Don't worry, your baby is fine. It's just that the fetus is unstable and you have a sprained ankle. We recommend that you stay out of bed for the next few days."
Wen Liang breathed a sigh of relief after hearing the answer he wanted, "Okay, thank you, nurse."
"You're welcome. Because you're pregnant, we didn't prescribe any oral medication. We only prescribed topical medication. Apply it to the sprained ankle and change it regularly. You can be discharged tomorrow."
"Okay, thank you."
Soon, Fu Zheng came back with shopping.
He bought his meals in the hospital cafeteria, including one meat dish, one vegetable dish, one soup, a serving of rice, a pear and a bottle of milk.
Wen Liang opened the lunch box and started eating. "How about you go back first? The nurse is here. Just come and pick me up from the hospital tomorrow. If you have anything to do tomorrow, just ask the driver to come over."
"I'll stay here with you. Your leg is injured, and it's inconvenient for you to stay here alone. I've asked the driver to bring some clean clothes."
Wen Liang felt warm in his heart, "Okay."
Suddenly, Fu Zheng's cell phone rang.
He took out his phone from his pocket, glanced at the screen, answered the call, and walked out, "Hello, Siyi?"
Hearing those two words, Wen Liang's drooping eyes moved and he pricked up his ears to listen carefully.
But he walked away and she heard nothing.
After a while, Fu Zheng came back and said apologetically, "Wen Liang, I'm sorry, Siyi is not in good condition, and I have to go now. I have called the driver to send Auntie over, and I will pick you up tomorrow."
Without waiting for Wen Liang to answer, Fu Zheng hurried out of the ward.
Looking at his anxious back, Wen Liang smiled bitterly.
In the end, the driver brought the servant over and spent the night with Wen Liang in the hospital.
The next morning, after Wen Liang changed the medicine, the driver came to pick him up and take him home.
With the help of his aunt, Wen Liang walked to the car on crutches.
There was only the driver in the car.
Fu Zheng didn't come.
Wen Liang lowered his head and pursed his lips.
She sat in the car, watching the scenery flash by outside the window, thinking secretly in her heart that she was still looking forward to Fu Zheng's arrival.
She is really easy to coax.
But Fu Zheng was unwilling to spend even this little bit of thought on her.
Wen Liang's leg was injured, so he naturally couldn't go to the company. He asked his assistant to send his laptop to him so that he could work at home and handle some daily affairs.
In order to avoid the trouble of going up and down the stairs, she stayed in her bedroom on the second floor and never went out.
The meals were served to her by an auntie.
Wen Liang was busy with work at this time. When he heard the door open, he thought it was his aunt coming to deliver food, so he said casually, "Put it on the table. I'll eat it in a while."
"Let's eat first and then work. It won't take a while." Fu Zheng's voice came.
Wen Liang looked up and saw that it was Fu Zheng who brought her food. "You're off work."
"Um."
Wen Liang closed the computer, and Fu Zheng put the food on the bedside table in front of Wen Liang, then went downstairs to eat.
After she finished eating, he came up to collect the dishes for Wen Liang.
When he came up again, Fu Zheng had a convenient bag in his hand, which contained some warm and cool medicines.
These included not only the medicines just prescribed by the hospital, but also the medicines Wenliang had taken previously for "gastrointestinal discomfort".
Watching Fu Zheng take out the medicines one by one, Wen Liang's heart skipped a beat and his fingers tightly grasped the corner of his clothes.
Fu Zheng held up two unmarked white bottles and shook them. "This is the gastrointestinal medicine you were prescribed at the hospital. Why is it packaged like this?"
Wen Liang explained nervously, "I changed it myself. Boxes are inconvenient, and I might have to go on a business trip next week, so I switched to bottles."
This reason was quite reasonable, so Fu Zheng didn't ask any further questions. He just said, "Your foot may not be healed next week. If it's not necessary, let someone else go."
Wen Liang responded and breathed a sigh of relief.
He looked at the other medicine in the bag again, took out the external application medicine, and asked, "The hospital only prescribed external application medicine yesterday. No internal anti-inflammatory medicine or blood circulation promoting and blood stasis removing medicine?"
Wen Liang shook his head and said, "I haven't had stomach problems lately. The doctor said those medicines might irritate my stomach, so he didn't prescribe them."
It’s because of poor stomach.
Fu Zheng frowned slightly, feeling that something was strange, but he couldn't put his finger on it.
"Let me help you change the dressing." Fu Zheng came over with a roll of gauze and external medicine, sat down beside the bed, and lifted the cool quilt.
"How about asking Auntie to change it for me?"
"Then I'll ask her to come up?"
Wen Liang pursed her lips and said nothing.
Fu Zheng knew that every time at this time, Wen Liang always said one thing and meant another.
He held the sole of her injured foot in his big hand. His hand was very hot, so hot that Wenliang wanted to shrink back.
He first carefully removed the gauze, revealing the swollen ankle joint and the unabsorbed ointment on it.
Fu Zheng first wiped off the excess ointment with an alcohol wipe, revealing the swollen joint's original appearance: white, bulging, and tall, like a big bulging loaf of bread.
Fu Zheng took another cotton swab and applied a new layer of ointment on his ankle, then wrapped it with gauze and tied a knot.
"alright."
Fu Zheng pulled the quilt over Wen Liang again.
"Thanks."
Fu Zheng put all the medicines back and said, "No need to thank me. Why are you being so polite to me?"
At this time, Fu Zheng's cell phone rang. He took it out and glanced at the screen, frowned slightly, and answered the call: "Hello, Siyi..."
I don't know what was said on the other end of the phone, but Fu Zheng's expression gradually became solemn. "Okay, I understand. I'll be right there."
Fu Zheng hung up the phone and walked out.
Wen Liang called him and looked at him, "Will you come back tonight?"
