Chapter 33 Be Gentle

Chapter 33 Be Gentle

Wen Liang pointed to the bathroom in the room and said, "I'm done. Go wash up."

Fu Zheng picked up his pajamas and walked into the bathroom.

The scent of shower gel wafts through the bathroom with separate wet and dry areas.

That was the smell of Wen Liang.

They followed the tip of Fu Zheng's nose and climbed along various nerves all the way to his brain.

Fu Zheng's body was becoming increasingly hot and unbearable. He closed his eyes and his mind was filled with the scenes of his past love affair with Wen Liang.

Wen Liang sat on the bed and briefly browsed his phone. When he was about to go to sleep, he suddenly realized that Fu Zheng had been in the bathroom for a while, but he had not heard any sound of water.

Wen Liang was suspicious. She threw off the quilt, got out of bed and walked to the bathroom door. She vaguely heard heavy breathing coming from inside.

A few seconds later, Wen Liang suddenly realized what Fu Zheng was doing inside. His face flushed red and he hurried back to the bed.

After a while.

The sound of dripping water was heard in the bathroom, and it stopped after a while. Fu Zheng came out of the bathroom.

Wen Liang felt the mattress beside him collapse.

Wen Liang soon fell asleep.

She was half asleep and half awake at night, and seemed to hear heavy breathing in her ears.

Wen Liang woke up and found that the panting sound did not come from the dream, but from Fu Zheng, who was beside him.

Wen Liang glanced at him in the moonlight, "A Zheng, are you asleep?"

"No." Fu Zheng's voice was hoarse.

"Why are you so red?"

As he spoke, Wen Liang stretched out a hand and tested it on Fu Zheng's forehead.

It's scorching hot.

"A Zheng, you have a fever?!" Wen Liang immediately sat up from the bed.

Her hands were cold, like a refreshing rain after a long drought.

Fu Zheng couldn't help but grab her hand, put it on his face, opened his eyes, and looked at her intently in the darkness, with a dark light flashing in his eyes.

"It's not a fever. There's something wrong with the soup I drank tonight."

That should be a tonic soup.

And it is a very nourishing soup.

Wen Liang was not an inexperienced girl. She realized something and asked, "So... what should we do now?"

Fu Zheng propped himself up and suddenly pressed Wen Liang under him, their eyes meeting.

He restrained himself, his brows furrowed into a knot, and beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.

The hot air exhaled was extremely hot.

Wen Liang hesitated for a moment, then clasped her arms around his neck, brushing her fingers through the neat stubble on the back of his neck, and whispered, "Be gentle."

Fu Zheng showed a look of forbearance on his face. He took a deep breath and buried his head in the warm and cool crook of his neck.

Suddenly, he got out of bed and strode towards the bathroom.

"A Zheng?"

"You go to sleep first, I'll go take a shower."

Fu Zheng walked into the bathroom, and soon, the sound of running water was heard from inside.

Wen Liang lay on the bed in a daze, feeling extremely embarrassed.

She was afraid that he would feel uncomfortable and wanted to be his antidote, but he might not appreciate it.

He would rather feel uncomfortable and take a cold shower than not be loyal to Chu Siyi.

She was just wishful thinking.

Wenliang covered himself with the quilt, turned over, half curled up, and closed his eyes.

The sound of water in the bathroom was like cold raindrops falling into her heart.

But even so, she was still worried about him. Taking a cold shower late at night might catch a cold.

Wen Liang immediately threw this thought out of his mind.

Just like he was willing to eat spicy food regardless of his own health for Chu Siyi, he was willing to do so.

He himself doesn't care about his own body, so why should she meddle in his affairs?

After a while, the sound of dripping water stopped.

The bathroom door creaked open.

The footsteps slowly approached.

There was a rustling sound behind him, and Wen Liang felt the bed beside him sink.

A burst of cold air hit Wen Liang, and he pulled the quilt tighter. "Are you feeling better?"

"Yeah." Fu Zheng replied in a low voice, "Go to sleep."

Wen Liang didn't say anything else.

The room became quiet, with only the sound of the two people breathing.

Wen Liang didn't know whether Fu Zheng was asleep or not. She lay motionless on the bed. The sleepiness she had just felt had long been dispelled, and her mind was clear.

She had been lying there for too long and her body was a little stiff, so she turned over.

After an unknown amount of time, Fu Zheng suppressed his throat and coughed a few times, "Wenliang?"

Wen Liang said nothing.

Fu Zheng took a deep breath, quietly lifted the quilt, got out of bed, and walked towards the bathroom.

The sound of dripping water began again.

A moment later, Fu Zheng came out of the bathroom wrapped in a bath towel, and the figure on the bed changed his position.

"Did I disturb you?" He sat down on the bed and asked in a low voice.

"No." Wen Liang shook his head.

"Can't sleep?"

"Um."

"Shall I tell you a German story?"

"Yes, thank you."

Fu Zheng can speak four languages: Chinese, English, Japanese and German.

He used to tell her German stories when she couldn't sleep.

She didn't understand German, but she felt particularly at ease listening to his soothing tone.

Fu Zheng's slow and magnetic voice rang out in the room.

Wen Liang put aside the impurities in his mind and listened carefully.

After an unknown amount of time, the sound of even breathing came from beside him. Fu Zheng's voice slowly stopped and he whispered, "Wenliang?"

No one responded.

She fell asleep.

Fu Zheng tucked the quilt for her, closed his eyes, and fell into a deep sleep.

In the hazy state, the phone rang. Wen Liang reached for the phone and pressed the answer button accurately with his eyes closed: "Who is it?"

With a beep, the person on the other end of the phone hung up without saying anything.

Wen Liang then narrowed his eyes, glanced at the screen, and widened his eyes.

Suddenly I realized that she was holding Fu Zheng's cell phone.

Wen Liang was now completely awake. She looked at the call record and saw "Si Yi" written on the note.

Finished.

She answered the call from Chu Siyi to Fu Zheng.

Wen Liang quickly woke Fu Zheng up, "I'm sorry, I just answered your call. It was Chu Siyi who called you. Do you want to call her back?"

Fu Zheng glanced at the call log on the phone screen, took the phone, got out of bed, dialed Chu Siyi's number, and walked towards the bathroom.

As soon as I dialed the number, the person on the other end hung up.

This happened several times in a row, and it was obvious that Chu Siyi was angry.

Fu Zheng hurriedly put on his clothes and opened the door. "I'm leaving first. I'll ask the driver to pick you up."

Wen Liang sat on the bed and looked at his hurried back, with a bitter smile on the corner of his lips.

He is really worried about Chu Siyi.

"Ahem," came the old lady's voice from the door. She knocked on the door, "Aliang, are you up yet? I just saw Azheng leave. The boy was in a hurry to go to work. He didn't have to skip breakfast."

"Grandma, I'm up. I'll be right out."

Wen Liang curled the corners of his mouth, struggled to stand up and put on his clothes.

At this moment, Fu Zheng had been standing at Chu Siyi's door for two hours.

Wang Yan finally opened the door and let Fu Zheng in. She whispered to him, "Siyi is very unstable right now. Don't provoke her. Try to go along with her."

"Yeah." Fu Zheng walked to the bedroom door and knocked, "Siyi, are you there?"

"I'm not here." Chu Siyi's voice shouted from inside the room.

Fu Zheng pushed the door open and saw Chu Siyi sitting on the bay window. He said nervously, "Siyi, don't let this get you down."

Chu Siyi's eyes were filled with tears as she smiled miserably, "A Zheng, I've lived this long with no other desire than to be with you forever. But now even this simple wish can't be fulfilled. What's the point of living?"
