Chapter 405 Leaving Again
On the seventh day of June, around ten o'clock, Wen Liang arrived at Jiangcheng International Airport carrying a suitcase.
Tang Shishi came to see her off.
The 11:30 flight required two transfers and took more than 20 hours to reach Philadelphia.
Tang Shishi accompanied Wen Liang to check in and check in their luggage. They went through security together and waited in the waiting area.
At around eleven o'clock, passengers lined up at the boarding gate, preparing to check in and board the plane.
Wen Liang was gone, and they wouldn't see each other for at least a few months. Tang Shishi's eyes were red as she hugged Wen Liang and said, "When you get there, be sure to call me more often. If...if you're not having a good time over there, just come back."
"Um."
Listening to Tang Shishi's instructions, Wen Liang's nose felt sore, "Why don't you come with me?"
Their relationship has come to this point. During Wen Liang's most difficult days, Tang Shishi has always supported and encouraged her. Wen Liang is a reserved person. She has never expressed her love for Tang Shishi in words, but she has always regarded her as her best friend in her heart.
Now that they have to separate, Wen Liang feels very reluctant.
Tang Shishi laughed for a moment, "If it weren't for my mother, I would definitely have left with you, but my mother is still here."
She is the only one her mother relies on, and she can't leave.
"Take good care of Auntie. I'll call you often. If your dad asks you to go on a blind date again, you must tell me and I'll check it out for you."
"You? I don't believe your judgment." Tang Shishi glanced at her meaningfully.
"That's right." Wen Liang smiled embarrassedly.
Even she herself is a clay Buddha and has been deceived by Fu Zheng twice. How can she protect Tang Shishi?
The gate opened.
Wen Liang was reluctant to leave, looking back every few steps, "I'm leaving?"
"Let's go. Be sure to call me."
"Yes, I remember."
Under Tang Shishi's gaze, Wen Liang walked onto the jet bridge leading to the plane.
Behind the pillar in the waiting hall, Fu Zheng stared quietly at Wen Liang's back until he disappeared into the corridor bridge.
How he wanted to walk up to her openly, hug her, and send her to the plane personally.
But he can't.
Seeing Tang Shishi turn around, Fu Zheng immediately dodged to the side and hid behind a pillar.
Tang Shishi rubbed her eyes.
Did she seem to see Fu Zheng just now?
When I looked again, the person was gone.
Maybe she is dazzled?
After Tang Shishi left, Fu Zheng left the terminal. Special Assistant Yang called and said, "Mr. Fu, the visas and tickets for the old lady and Fanfan are ready."
"Well, let's send them away in two days."
"yes."
Twenty-four hours later, the plane landed and Wen Liang arrived at Terminal D of Philadelphia International Airport. It was around 11 o'clock in the evening in Philadelphia.
The airport hall was a bit empty, and looking around, most of the people there were three-dimensional white faces.
Wen Liang immediately turned on his phone and received missed calls and messages.
Huo Dongcheng had previously greeted his friend, hoping that his friend would help look after Wen Liang, and his friend readily agreed.
Huo Dongcheng’s friend is Chen Jingyuan, Chen Chuan’s cousin and the new president of the Philadelphia Chinese Association.
Chen Jingyuan and Huo Dongcheng came to Philadelphia to study together, and then stayed here naturally. Last year, Huo Dongcheng returned to China, but Chen Jingyuan did not. With the support of his family and his own brains, he opened a company here and is doing very well.
The two grew up together, and since it was Huo Dongcheng who asked him to do so, Chen Jingyuan had no reason to refuse, so he added Wen Liang's WeChat.
After adding WeChat and asking for her name and flight information, Chen Jingyuan realized that this was Wen Liang, the junior high school student who had come to Bin University for an exchange program.
Wen Liang chatted with Chen Jingyuan on WeChat and unexpectedly discovered that Chen Jingyuan actually knew her.
It’s not surprising when you think about it. Huo Dongcheng knew her when he was in Philadelphia. As Huo Dongcheng’s friend, it’s not surprising that Chen Jingyuan knew her.
Chen Jingyuan said that they met at a Chinese gathering and were not very familiar with each other. Huo Dongcheng was more familiar with Wen Liang.
Since the person he had to take care of was an old acquaintance, Chen Jingyuan was more enthusiastic and did not feel like he was being bothered.
He arrived at the airport about half an hour early and left a message for Wen Liang: "Call me when you get off the plane."
After seeing the message, Wen Liang first followed the signs to pick up his luggage, and then called Chen Jingyuan.
Wen Liang reported her location, and Chen Jingyuan asked her to stay where she was and not move, and he would come to find her.
Wen Liang held the handle of the suitcase and looked around.
The surroundings were very empty. Many people left after picking up their luggage. The KFC not far away was open, but there were not many people inside.
About ten minutes later, a tall young man in a black windbreaker came from the left. He stopped a few steps away from Wen Liang and asked, "Wen Liang?"
"Brother Chen?"
After confirming his identity, Chen Jingyuan took the initiative to step forward, looked at Wen Liang for a few times, and took the suitcase from Wen Liang's hand. "Let me help you. Let's go this way. It's closer."
"Okay, thank you, Brother Chen. I'm sorry to bother you so late."
Wen Liang glanced at Chen Jingyuan and found that he had an earring on his left ear and the first button of his shirt was unbuttoned, revealing a faint trace of a tattoo.
Chen Jingyuan smiled infectiously. "Forget being polite. We're all Chinese. We're one family here. If you need anything in the future, just give me a call."
Even though many Chinese people come here to settle down, they can't help but feel a sense of familiarity when they see people of the same ethnic group, so they spontaneously form Chinese associations to help each other.
"Okay, then I won't be polite to Brother Chen. I'll need your help when I rent a house in a few days."
Wen Liang had just arrived and was not familiar with the prices here. She was also worried that someone would cheat her because she was a foreigner and a girl.
"Okay, call me when the time comes. By the way, are you here to continue studying or to work?" Chen Jingyuan asked casually.
"Work."
"What job?"
"Photographer."
"Oh," Chen Jingyuan slapped his forehead and said, "I forgot. Dongcheng told me you were her student. A friend of his opened a photography studio here. Did you know that?"
"Brother Dongcheng told me."
"I think you could try that place. It's in the university district in the west of the city. Most of the customers there are young people, and communication is smooth. There are also many Chinese people studying here."
"Okay, I'll go over and try."
The two chatted as they got into the car, and Wen Liang took the initiative to say, "The hotel I booked is The Rittenhouse, 1800 McKnight Street."
"I know where it is. It's right in the city center."
Chen Jingyuan started the car and headed towards the city center.
In the car, Wen Liang sent a message to Tang Shishi to let her know that she was safe.
As the car drove into the city, Chen Jingyuan enthusiastically introduced Wen Liang, "...Philadelphia has changed a lot in recent years. You still remember that place, it was being demolished, and now it's a hotel... That club, I remember there was a gathering of Chinese people here, and you even attended..."
"I don't remember it very clearly. I had a car accident before returning home that year, and I've forgotten a lot of things."
Huo Dongcheng knew that Wen Liang had lost her memory in the car accident, so she didn't hide it from Chen Jingyuan.
Chen Jingyuan looked at her in surprise when he heard this, "Is there such a thing?"
