Chapter 409 The World is So Small
Wen Liang is aware of the power of the Internet today, and more and more people are getting involved in the self-media industry.
Some people shoot interesting or valuable videos and make money through playback and advertising fees. Others shoot videos to show the charm of their jobs and use the Internet to attract business for themselves.
Wen Liang thought that she should belong to the latter, although she had never taken a video.
After understanding the customer's needs, Wen Liang discussed the details with the customer and made a quote.
The students who come here to study abroad basically have good money, and they come here for Wen Liang, so they immediately agreed, paid a deposit, and arranged for a photo shoot next weekend.
Wen Liang looked at several photography studios on the job search website and finally picked a few that he liked and submitted his resume to them, including the studio of Huo Dongcheng's friend.
After finishing all this, it was almost early morning. Wenliang washed up and went to bed.
With no plans to go out the next day, Wen Liang decided to indulge himself and sleep until he woke up naturally.
But I didn't expect to be awakened by the ringing of the phone.
She opened her sleepy eyes, and a ray of dazzling sunlight came in through the gap in the curtains and fell wantonly on her pillow.
Wen Liang stretched, turned over, picked up his phone and took a look. It was a little after eight in the morning.
The caller ID shows a local unknown number.
Wen Liang yawned and answered the phone, "Hello! Who is that?"
A male voice came from the other end of the phone, "Excuse me, is this Miss Fei?"
"It's me."
"This is Caitlan Photography Studio. I'm the studio manager. You can call me Alan. I've reviewed your resume and I think you're excellent. I sincerely invite you to come to the studio for an interview. When are you available?"
Wen Liang immediately perked up and sat up from the bed. "I have plenty of time. I can go for the interview anytime."
"Then... how about two o'clock this afternoon?"
"Can."
"Okay, the studio address is... Remember to arrive on time."
"OK."
After hanging up the phone, Wen Liang searched on the map and confirmed that the address Alan gave was in a commercial office building, not some remote corner, so he felt relieved.
She lay in bed for a while, then got up, washed up, and prepared for the afternoon interview.
While Wen Liang was having breakfast, he received a reply from another photography studio, also inviting him for an interview.
Wen Liang didn't know when the afternoon interview would end, so he scheduled the interview with the second studio for tomorrow morning.
In the afternoon, when Wen Liang took a taxi to Caitlan Photography Studio, he received an interview invitation from a third photography studio, which was the studio of Huo Dongcheng's friend, and the interview was scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.
Wen Liang arrived at Caitlan Photography Studio five minutes early and told the receptionist her purpose. The receptionist then directed her to an office to wait.
Wen Liang looked around the studio environment inconspicuously. The decoration was exquisite and looked pretty good.
After sitting in the office for two minutes, a white young man came in from outside. He looked to be in his thirties and was well-mannered.
"Hello, I'm Fei."
"Hello, I'm Alan."
The two shook hands, and Allen smiled and stretched out his arm, "Please sit down."
Next, Allen asked some interesting questions about Wen Liang's previous job, works, style, etc.
The two of them talked casually, without any serious formality.
"I think I've pretty much understood your abilities. Is there anything you'd like to know about the studio?"
Wen Liang asked questions about the issues that concerned him, and Allen also gave answers.
The interview was over after about an hour.
Alan promised to inform Wen Liang of the interview results in three days.
Wen Liang came out of the office building and let out a breath.
She felt that the interview went quite well.
After the second interview, Wen Liang was not as relaxed as the first.
The interviewer for this studio was a middle-aged man who always looked at her with a scrutinizing gaze and even mentioned racial issues during the conversation.
Wen Liang hopes that the place where she works will be more open and friendly. Even if it doesn't treat her like a friend, at least it won't look at her with tinted glasses.
So, no matter whether this studio records her or not, she has already passed on this studio.
In the afternoon, Wen Liang attended the third interview.
Huo Dongcheng's friend's photography studio is called Saleel, and its office is located in a storefront in the city center.
From a distance, Wen Liang saw the Salir sign.
The exterior wall of the storefront is made of glass, so you can see the environment inside at a glance.
In addition to the Western-style decorations, Wen Liang also saw several plastic models placed near the windows, some of which were wearing modern-style clothing, and several models were wearing Hanfu.
Therefore, this photography studio should also have a clothing rental business.
The person who interviewed Wen Liang was a woman named Lillian, a local.
Perhaps because the studio owner was Chinese, Lillian was very friendly to Wen Liang and the interview process went very smoothly.
Lillian personally escorted Wen Liang to the door.
Just then, a man and a woman came out of the film selection room, talking and laughing. Both of them had Asian faces.
The woman caught a glimpse of Wen Liang in front of her and suddenly felt that he looked familiar. She took a closer look and thought of something, with a hint of hostility flashing in her eyes.
She raised her chin in the direction of Wen Liang and asked the man next to her, "William, what is she doing here?"
The man named William looked to be around thirty years old and was wearing a suit.
Hearing this, he looked up at Wen Liang. He didn't recognize her, but when he saw Lillian next to her, he understood, "She should be here for an interview as a photographer."
"Oh..." The woman looked at Wen Liang, a meaningful look flashing in her eyes.
"What's wrong? Do you know her?"
"I don't know him." said the woman.
But it's a bit festive.
She never thought that the world was so small that she could meet this poor country bumpkin.
When the woman thought about how she was scolded by the manager and kicked out of the store by the salesperson, and how she was humiliated, while the poor girl and her friends looked so smug, she still felt angry even though several months had passed.
She must let this country bumpkin know how powerful she is!
William noticed something was wrong, but when he saw that she didn't know him, he didn't ask any more questions.
If Wen Liang turned around, he would definitely recognize the woman.
A few months ago, Wen Liang and Tang Shishi were on a plane traveling to Australia when they met a woman who was unreasonable and insisted on switching seats with her and even mocked her.
Later at Sydney's Queen Victoria Building, Wen Liang and Tang Shishi met the woman again and had a conflict over a watch. In the end, the woman was asked to leave by the manager.
But Wen Liang didn't look back.
She said goodbye to Lillian and went for a walk nearby, not returning until nightfall.
For the next two days, Wen Liang had fun while waiting for the interview news.
Soon, the interview results came out.
As Wen Liang expected, she passed the interviews with Caitlan and Salil, but failed the second one.
After comparing the two companies' work locations, work content, salary conditions, etc., Wen Liang finally chose Salir.
Some of Salir's customers are Chinese, and there is a Hanfu photo shoot project, which many locals will also try. This is one of the reasons why Wen Liang chose Salir.
