Chapter 741 A Family Man

Chapter 741 A Family Man

Glancing at the man next to him, Wen Liang became angry when he thought about how scared he was just now, and reached out to grab his waist.

Unfortunately, his waist was full of tight muscles and he couldn't pull it up.

Fu Zheng turned his head and looked at her seriously: "Why are you touching me?"

Wen Liang: “…”

She smiled wryly, "Why, you don't want me to touch you?"

"I am a married man. How can I let you touch me casually? Miss Wen, you have crossed the line." Fu Zheng turned his head away.

"I think you are pretty, and touching you is a compliment to you. Since you are so ignorant, I will not force you. You can go." Wen Liang glanced at him indifferently.

Fu Zheng: "Miss Wen knew that my wife was in critical condition and needed money for treatment. She said she would let me go, but in fact she was still blackmailing me with money."

Wen Liang: "...Yes, I am that despicable, so if you agree to my conditions, I will agree to pay for your wife's treatment."

"What do you want me to do?"

"Pleasure me."

Fu Zheng stood up and knelt on one knee in front of Wen Liang.

"Mr. Fu, your technique isn't very...good..."

"Yeah?"

Wen Liang bit her lower lip, "Yeah."

Just then, Wen Liang's cell phone rang.

She took out her cell phone from her pocket, looked at the caller ID, raised her index finger towards Fu Zheng, and answered the call.

Xin Feng's voice came from the phone, "Have you returned to your room?"

"Um."

"Did you find out any useful information?"

Wen Liang said, "Lucas Garcia... Emily said... his real identity is Richard Brown, an associate professor of psychology at XX University... Go check this person out. He alone couldn't have hypnotized me into amnesia. Go find out which of the four American psychologists he is related to. And..."

Wen Liang took the phone away, took a deep breath, and inserted his fingers into Fu Zheng's hair, signaling him to stop. "Also check the rare blood type mutual aid association under the KL Group. Oh, and there's also a woman named Emma. Emily said that the media had previously reported that the KL Group was involved in human experiments. Let's check that too."

"good."

"Be careful. If you have any questions... ask Lu Yao to help you."

"clear."

Hang up the phone.

Wen Liang's whole body tensed up and he cried out in despair.

"Miss Wen, how are my skills?"

“…”

"Miss Wen, who was that man just now?"

"Xin Feng."

"Is he the detective Lu Yao mentioned?"

"Um."

"Huo Dongcheng recommended it to you?"

“…”

Fu Zheng laughed and suddenly exerted force.

Two hours later, Wen Liang packed the equipment in a suitcase and left with Fu Zheng.

Coincidentally, as soon as they went out, they ran into Robert and Emily across the street.

They seemed to be going downstairs for dinner.

Wen Liang glanced at Emily calmly, then naturally reached out and took Fu Zheng's strong arm beside her, turning her head to show him a gentle smile, "Dear, let's go, I'm a little hungry."

Fu Zheng nodded in understanding, patted the back of her hand lightly with his arm, and gave her a gentle but protective look in response.

His tall stature and calm aura form a natural barrier.

The two of them walked hand in hand past Robert and Emily as if no one was around, and walked calmly towards the elevator.

Robert frowned and glanced at the unfamiliar yet well-matched Asian couple. His gaze paused briefly on Fu Zheng's expensive watch, but he didn't take it seriously, treating them as just ordinary guests staying in the hotel.

Emily secretly breathed a sigh of relief, lowered her eyes and followed Robert's footsteps.

On the way to the restaurant, Wen Liang told Fu Zheng about the information he had found during this period and the treatment situation.

The Fu Group's influence here is naturally not as great as that of the local KL Group, but Fu Zheng has some connections here and can use the excuse of cooperation to investigate the affairs of the KL Group headquarters.

The next day, the morning sun lazily sprinkled on the meticulously trimmed lawn of Wilson Manor. The branches of the huge oak tree swayed in the breeze, casting mottled light and shadows.

A black car drove smoothly through the carved cast iron gate, along the winding private driveway, and finally stopped in front of the majestic gray-white main building.

Fu Shifan, who was playing in the rainbow castle on the lawn, saw the person getting out of the car and his eyes lit up.

"dad!"

Fu Shifan slid down the slide, ran towards Fu Zheng happily, and threw herself into his arms.

She tilted her little face up, her flushed face full of undisguised surprise, "Dad, why are you here? Are you here to pick me up?"

Fu Zheng picked her up, held up his daughter's soft cheek, and kissed her forehead. "Dad is here on a business trip. Fanfan, do you miss Dad?"

"I do! I really do!" Fu Shifan nodded vigorously.

At this moment, a low and slightly scrutinizing cough was heard.

Fu Zheng looked up and saw old Wilson leaning on an ebony cane, standing next to the French double doors leading to the inner hall.

"Grandfather!"

"Mr. Fu." Old Wilson's voice was steady, his emotions unremarkable. "Did your trip go well?"

Fu Zheng held Fanfan in his arms and nodded politely, "Thank you for your concern. How is Mr. Wilson doing lately? I heard that things are not going well within your company lately."

"It's just hearsay." Old Wilson smiled and handed the newspaper to the butler standing beside him. "Sit inside."

Two adults and one child sat down in the living room, and the maid served them tea, fruit and cakes.

Old Wilson asked casually, "Mr. Fu, are you here to take Carol back to China?"

Fu Zheng: "Not exactly, Mr. Wilson. I have some things to take care of in Philadelphia, so I expect to stay here for a while."

Old Wilson smiled a little. He picked up the Cuban cigar cutter on the coffee table and slowly trimmed a cigar, his movements more leisurely than they had been in the past few days. "Oh? Is that so? Since Mr. Fu is busy and probably can't take care of Carol, let Carol continue to live here. You can pick her up and leave when you're done."

Fu Shifan stared at Fu Zheng secretly, and when he saw Fu Zheng nod in agreement, he squeezed his hand unhappily.

Fu Zheng explained to the little girl, "Fanfan, Dad and Auntie are very busy and don't have the energy to take care of you. You can stay here for a few more days. When we are free, we will come to see you."

Beyond that, there are security issues.

He didn't want to involve Fanfan and put him in danger.

The little girl pouted and reluctantly replied, "Okay."

When she looked up, she saw Old Wilson looking at her with a sad face.

She immediately put on a smile, ran back to her grandfather, and rubbed his arm affectionately, "Grandpa."

Fu Zheng looked around the somewhat empty and luxurious hall and remembered something, "Mr. Wilson, why is Mrs. Wilson not here?"
