Chapter 743 The Environment of the Sanatorium
Without waiting for Fu Zheng to answer, Fu Shifan looked up at the two of them and said in surprise, "Laboratory? I want to visit it too!"
In her mind, there came the image of the colorful, bubbling, and even exploding magic potion in the cartoons. Although she knew that it was a trick for children and she was already an adult and would not be fooled, she still wanted to see what a real laboratory looked like.
Fu Zheng smiled, glanced at Yan Huai, and gently rubbed his daughter's head. "Fanfan, the laboratory is very dangerous. Children are not allowed to go in."
"In a real science lab, there are only cold machines and dangerous chemical reagent bottles. If you accidentally touch something you shouldn't touch, it might hurt like being scalded by boiling water or pricked by a large needle. Therefore, it is a place that children are absolutely not allowed to enter."
"I'm already an adult." Fu Shifan raised his head and blinked his big eyes, trying to get away with it.
"Adults are not allowed to enter either."
"You and your uncle can do it, so why can't I?"
The little girl's eyes widened and her mouth immediately pouted in unhappiness, so tight that a small oil bottle could be hung on it.
"Your uncle is just talking. We won't go in."
Fu Shifan turned to look at Yan Huai, blinking his big watery eyes, looking pitiful, "Uncle..."
Yan Huai turned his eyes away, "Uncle was just saying that, you can't just go into the laboratory casually."
"Oh... okay then." Fu Shifan lowered his head, a lost expression on his little face.
She lowered her eyes, and her clear and bright eyes were filled with moisture, as if they would turn into pearls and fall down in the next second.
Yan Huai felt as if he had done something unforgivable.
He winked at Fu Zheng, asking him to quickly coax his daughter.
Fu Zheng leaned over and picked up Fu Shifan with his strong arms. "Okay, Fanfan, Dad knows you want to explore, but the laboratory is really not fun at all. Let's go see grandma, okay? Didn't you say you haven't been to the sanatorium? The scenery is so beautiful, let's go for a walk together later?"
Fu Shifan was still lying on her shoulder, looking listless.
Fu Zheng had no choice but to say, "Tell me, what do you want?"
Fu Shifan's eyes lit up, and he asked tentatively, "Will you agree to everything I say?"
Fu Zheng knew that this little girl was pretending, "Don't make it too difficult for me."
"I want to stay with you and my aunt tonight."
"good."
Fu Zheng rubbed her head and agreed immediately.
Xie Shu was reading a book on the second-floor terrace. When he learned that a guest had come to visit, he went downstairs to entertain him.
To be honest, Xie Shu doesn't like Fu Zheng very much.
But since he came to visit specially, and in front of her beloved granddaughter, Xie Shu did not give him a cold face directly, but instead treated Fu Zheng very gently.
Just then, the servant came to report that Xie Shu's personal doctor had arrived.
Upon hearing this, Fu Zheng stopped bothering her and left with Fu Shifan.
Yan Huai stayed here, planning to wait until Xie Shu finished the examination before leaving.
Coming out of the living room, Fu Zheng saw a servant leading two men in white coats in from outside.
The former has gray hair and beard and a gentle temperament. He looks like a well-educated and experienced doctor.
The person behind him was younger, carrying a medicine box, and should be the former's assistant.
When the two parties met, although they did not know each other, they still nodded to each other and passed each other.
Fu Zheng held his daughter Fu Shifan's hand and stepped out of the side door of the main building in Area D. The warm valley breeze immediately blew on their faces, carrying the fresh scent of grass and trees.
The Forest Whisper Sanatorium lives up to its name and its location is a carefully constructed paradise.
The entire campus is located at the bottom of a narrow, north-south valley basin, with a unique terrain.
The towering ridges with dense vegetation on both sides completely block the invading cold current and noise outside the valley. The mountains on the east side are slightly gentler, receiving the abundant morning light. The sunlight shines generously, but due to the refraction of the valley terrain and the mountains, the scorching heat is reduced, leaving only the warmth that is enough to dispel the spring chill.
The air is dry and clean, with the unique freshness of the mountains. The breeze blows gently through the valley, carrying the fragrance of pine needles, new leaves and wild flowers blooming secretly in the distance. The fragrance lingers between breaths and is refreshing.
I have to say that old Wilson's choice of location is indeed very good.
Not far away, several silver-haired elderly people sat side by side on a bench at the top of the gentle slope, squinting their eyes to enjoy the sunbathing and chatting in low voices. There was also a middle-aged lady, accompanied by a caregiver, doing soothing walking rehabilitation exercises along the cobblestone path paved along the edge of the lawn.
Everything looks calm, healthy and in order.
Fu Zheng took Fu Shifan around to the outer trail near Area B, where there were sparse flower trees on one side and an artificial landscape lake on the other.
The lake water is drawn from the snowmelt stream on the mountain and is as clear as a mirror. The lake is dotted with simple stone pavilions and a few water birds fly leisurely across the water.
"Daddy, it's so beautiful and comfortable here," Fu Shifan yawned. The sunlight shone on her furry head, making her look extremely soft.
Fu Zheng held his daughter more firmly and said in a gentle voice, "Well, if you like, we can stay a little longer."
Along the way, I met a white-haired old man who looked very energetic.
"The air here is so fresh. How long have you lived here, old man?" Fu Zheng took the initiative to talk with a gentle and harmless smile.
The old man, who looked to be around seventy, was wearing a well-made corduroy jacket. He smiled politely when someone approached him. "Yes, young man, ever since my wife passed away... I've had emphysema and it's been tough. The air in the city is terrible. After living here for a month, I can breathe much easier when I sleep. How about you? What's wrong with you at such a young age? Or are you here to do some field research for your family?"
"I heard the environment here is good, so I came to take a look on behalf of my family."
"Then you've come to the right place." The old man praised with a smile, "Then you've come to the right place. This place, besides the good air, the environment is also quiet and peaceful. Look at the garden over there, and the koi in this lake, just looking at them makes you feel relaxed and at ease."
"How about the medical staff here?"
"They are all very professional, especially the dean, a professor from a prestigious university, and his medical skills are very impressive."
"I just saw an old doctor in a white coat in Area D. He looked very elegant. Behind him was a young doctor carrying a medicine box..."
"That's the director." The old man pointed to Area D and said, "That's where Mrs. Wilson lives and recuperates. The director is her personal physician. Oh, do you know who Mrs. Wilson is? She's the wife of the head of the Wilson family. This sanatorium was originally found by Mr. Wilson for his wife. Oh, Mr. Wilson is Chinese. I see you're Chinese too?"
