Chapter 1 Their Baby
"Ms. Wen, the examination results show that you were born with a thin uterine wall, and the fetus is unstable. You need to be more careful with your diet and exercise."
The doctor gave instructions while prescribing medicine and handed over the card, "Here, go get the medicine."
"Okay, thank you, doctor." Wen Liang took the card and slowly stood up.
The doctor warned again, "Be careful, don't take it lightly!"
A thin uterine wall makes miscarriage more likely, and many pregnant women cannot get pregnant again after having a miscarriage.
"Thank you, doctor. I will pay attention to it." Wen Liang smiled and nodded.
After three years of marriage, no one is looking forward to the arrival of this child more than her, and she will definitely protect him well.
After getting the medicine, Wen Liang came out of the outpatient building and returned to the car.
The driver started the car and looked at her in the rearview mirror. "Madam, your husband's flight is at 3 pm and there are still 20 minutes left. Do you want to go directly to the airport?"
"Go ahead."
Thinking that she would be able to see him in twenty minutes, Wen Liang showed a sweet smile on her face, and she was already feeling impatient in her heart.
Fu Zheng has been on a business trip for nearly a month, and she misses him very much.
On the way, she couldn't help but take out the pregnancy test form from her bag and read it several times, her hand gently placed on her lower abdomen.
Here, her and Fu Zheng's baby is there, and it will be born in another eight months.
She wanted to share the good news with Fu Zheng immediately.
When we arrived at the airport, the driver parked the car in a conspicuous location and asked, "Madam, would you like to call your husband?"
Wen Liang glanced at the time and guessed that Fu Zheng had already gotten off the plane. He called him, but the customer service said that the call could not be connected at the moment.
"Maybe the plane is delayed, let's wait a while." Wen Liang said.
After a while, Fu Zheng still didn't come out.
Wen Liang made another call, but the call still couldn't be connected.
"Wait a little longer."
Flight delays are common, sometimes even as long as one or two hours.
Two hours later.
Wen Liang called Fu Zheng again, but the cold tone was no longer heard. Someone quickly picked up the phone, "Zheng, did you get off the plane?"
There was silence on the other end of the phone, and then a female voice rang out, "Sorry, A Zheng went to the bathroom. I'll have him get back to you later."
Before Wen Liang could say anything, a busy tone came from the microphone.
She looked at the phone screen, stunned for a moment.
She remembered that Fu Zheng did not bring a female secretary with him on this business trip.
Wen Liang stared at the off phone screen, waiting for Fu Zheng's call back.
Soon, ten minutes passed.
Fu Zheng did not call back.
Wen Liang waited for another five minutes before he couldn't help but call Fu Zheng again.
I dialed the number and waited for a long time. When the call was about to be automatically disconnected, it was finally connected. A familiar male voice came from the receiver, deep and attractive. "Hello, Wen Liang?"
"A Zheng, where are you? The driver and I are in the parking lot in Area D of the terminal. Just come over."
The voice on the other end of the phone paused, "Sorry, I forgot to turn on my phone after getting off the plane. I've left the airport now."
Wenliang's smile fell instantly.
"Then—I'll go home and wait for you?" Wen Liang bit her lip, "I have something to tell you."
"Okay, I have something to tell you too."
"I'll ask Auntie to prepare your favorite dinner..."
"Eat by yourself. I have something else to do. I'll be back later."
Wen Liang felt a little disappointed, but replied calmly, "Okay."
Just as he was about to hang up, the same female voice rang out from Fu Zheng's side again, "A Zheng, I'm sorry, Wen Liang called you just now, and I forgot to pass on the message..."
Wen Liang's heart sank and he frowned. Just as he was about to ask Fu Zheng who this woman was, the call was hung up.
She looked at the phone screen, pursed her lips, and said to the driver, "Let's go home."
The driver guessed something from the few words and drove away from the airport.
Dinner was warm and I didn’t have much of an appetite, but I still ate some for the sake of the baby in my belly.
The TV is on in the living room.
She sat on the sofa hugging a pillow, frequently glancing at the time on her watch, having no interest in watching what was on TV.
It's already ten o'clock in the evening.
Wen Liang yawned and fell asleep unknowingly.
When she was half asleep and half awake, she suddenly felt her body lighten, as if someone was picking her up.
Wen Liang was dazed and seemed to smell a familiar scent and a faint smell of alcohol. He muttered, "A Zheng?"
