Chapter 147 We've Found You

Two screams rang out at the same time.

Zhou Junjie desperately crawled backward, shouting, "Don't come any closer!!!"

"Don't come any closer!!"

The woman ran towards the front door and bumped into Zhou Junjie, who was crawling out from under the bed.

"Aaaaaah!!!!"

"Aaaaaah!!!!"

The two screamed with their eyes closed, and Zhou Junjie swallowed hard.

Wait, what's the female ghost's name?

The voice sounded somewhat familiar. He cautiously opened his eyes. "Huh? You're Xia Xiangjun?"

Xia Xiangjun also slowly opened her eyes, calling out uncertainly, "Zhou, Senior Zhou?"

"It's me."

Zhou Junjie carefully examined the person in front of him. He saw that the person had a shadow, feet, and was breathing; it wasn't a ghost.

His tense body relaxed, and he plopped down on the ground. "You scared me to death! What are you doing here?"

Xia Xiangjun looked terrified. "Senior Zhou, I don't know either. I came here to sketch, and when I woke up I was here after I fell asleep on the table. I'm so scared."

She was trembling uncontrollably. Since the two knew each other, Zhou Junjie comforted her in the unfamiliar environment, saying, "Don't be afraid, someone is coming to rescue us."

The Zhou family and the Xia family were neighbors. He wasn't familiar with Xia Xiangjun, but he recognized each other's faces.

Xia Xiangjun loves art and studied fine arts in college.

At last year's opening ceremony, Zhou Junjie was playing on his phone when he heard a familiar name and looked up at the stage.

Xia Xiangjun has always been a top student since childhood, and she gave a speech on behalf of the new students.

Although they were in the same school, they were not in the same major and had only met a couple of times. They were like familiar strangers.

Zhou Junjie was a poor student and would never have crossed paths with such a top student, but he met her here.

Seeing him stunned, Xia Xiangjun asked softly, "Senior Zhou, this place is very strange. Will someone really come to rescue us?"

“Yes, I will.” Zhou Junjie patted the floor next to him. “Sit down and save your energy.”

Xia Xiangjun hesitated for a long time before sitting down next to him, hugging her legs and crying.

A faint sob reached Zhou Junjie's ears, making him feel extremely uncomfortable. He had never seen a girl cry before. What should he do in this situation?

At this moment, he missed Ji Heng very much. That guy was amazing; he must have a way.

If I had known this would happen, I would have dragged Ji Heng into it no matter what.

Zhou Junjie managed to squeeze out three words, "Don't cry."

Xia Xiangjun looked up and apologized, "I'm sorry, I was just scared."

In all her years, she had never encountered anything like this before: the room lights inexplicably wouldn't turn on, and there were footsteps and screams outside the door.

She was terrified.

Xia Xiangjun recalled what had just happened, her face pale and her lips trembling, "Something is chasing me..."

"What is that?" Zhou Junjie stared at the door. "Where did that thing go?"

Xia Xiangjun shook her head. "I don't know."

After the room darkened, she realized her phone had no signal, so she hid under the covers.

After an unknown amount of time, there was a knock on the door, water began to drip from the ceiling, and a pair of cold hands stroked her back.

Xia Xiangjun was in a state of extreme panic. It was a completely instinctive reaction. She threw off the covers and ran out as fast as she could.

Thump thump thump, thump thump thump!

The footsteps behind her were particularly loud. Xia Xiangjun didn't dare to turn around. In her panic, she bumped into a door and fell straight in.

"Don't go! Don't go! Come back here!!"

The voice was hoarse and unpleasant, tinged with exasperation.

Xia Xiangjun's first reaction was to hide under the bed, and that's how the two bumped into each other.

Zhou Junjie's teeth chattered, "It must be a ghost!"

"Ghosts?" Xia Xiangjun asked timidly, "Are there really ghosts in this world?"

“Yes, I saw it with my own eyes.” Zhou Junjie gripped the yellow talisman tightly. “Don’t worry too much. Where there are ghosts, there are Taoist priests. My dad will definitely come to save me.”

Xia Xiangjun asked, "What do ghosts look like?"

Zhou Junjie tried hard to recall the Ouija board, "Ghosts don't have bodies, they can possess people..."

Ahhh! I'm going to die!

The spirit of the Ouija board can possess Zhang Zhitao, and the ghost here can also possess Xia Xiangjun.

Is the person next to him a human or a ghost?

A chill ran through Zhou Junjie, making his scalp tingle. He silently moved back.

The person next to her suddenly fell silent. Xia Xiangjun looked at him and asked, "Senior Zhou, what's wrong?"

If you look closely, her face, hands, and clothes are covered in blood, and her eyes are bright, like a cute but naive villain in a movie.

Zhou Junjie forced a stiff smile, "Don't come any closer, don't come any closer!"

Xia Xiangjun burst into tears, "Senior Zhou, I am Xia Xiangjun, don't you recognize me?"

Zhou Junjie was stunned when he saw her tears.

Do ghosts cry?

Did he misunderstand the young girl?

Zhou Junjie looked at the yellow talisman in his palm. There was no change. Xia Xiangjun should not be a ghost.

His eyes widened. "Where did the blood on your hands come from?"

“This isn’t blood.” Xia Xiangjun held up her hands to show him. “I accidentally spilled some paint.”

Zhou Junjie sniffed it and indeed there was a smell of ink.

It's perfectly normal for Xia Xiangjun, who studies art, to carry paints with her.

Zhou Junjie finally breathed a sigh of relief. "It was a misunderstanding. Let's continue resting."

There were only two people in the dark room, huddled together for warmth, their eyes fixed on the door.

One person is very scared, but two people are not so scared.

The atmosphere was a little awkward, so Zhou Junjie tried to start a conversation, "Hey, have you eaten?"

Xia Xiangjun rubbed her stomach. "Probably not."

How could we possibly eat when we're trapped in this dark and sunless place?

Zhou Junjie slapped his forehead and continued the awkward conversation, "How is Uncle Xia?"
