"ah?"
Zhang Wanwan's head was spinning, and she didn't hear what Lin Xi said at all.
Aunt Zhang was extremely anxious. "Master Lin, look at this child!"
Lin Xi examined her closely and said, "There are marks left by a ghost on her body. The ghost's yin energy is mixed with a trace of blood energy, which means that the ghost she encountered was very fierce."
"What?!"
Aunt Zhang's heart jumped instantly. "Xiao Wan has been obedient and sensible since she was a child. She went through a series of undergraduate, master's, and doctoral studies. How could she encounter something like this before she even graduated?"
"Xiao Wan, quickly tell the master."
"Auntie, I..."
Zhang Wanwan was completely weak, leaning on Aunt Zhang's shoulder, panting and unable to speak.
Lin Xi's eyes sharpened, and she took out a purifying talisman from her bag and slapped it on her head.
A warm current flowed into her body, and Zhang Wanwan became more awake, the chilling feeling on her back disappearing.
She was shocked; she had really encountered a ghost!
Zhang Wanwan studied eight years of clinical medicine in college, and saw many dead people, even personally dissecting corpses.
She never imagined that ghosts really existed!
Zhang Wanwan couldn't help but shiver. Looking at Lin Xi, who was younger than her, she sincerely thanked him, "Thank you, Master Lin."
"You're welcome," Lin Xi said calmly. "Tell me about your situation."
With tears in her eyes, Zhang Wanwan began to recount the strange events she had encountered.
She booked a hotel online to prepare for a hospital interview after graduating this year and looking for a job.
Upon entering the hotel room, she noticed a strange smell, but didn't think much of it.
After dinner, Zhang Wanwan practiced her English self-introduction in front of the mirror.
Halfway through the procession, a deathly pale face appeared in the mirror, a sinister smile playing on its lips, and bright red blood instantly covered the entire mirror surface.
"ah!!"
Zhang Wanwan was terrified. Instinctively, she threw the book in her hand at the mirror, opened the door, and rushed downstairs to find the front desk.
"I...I want to change rooms!"
The receptionist yawned. "I'm sorry, there are a lot of students taking exams lately, and we don't have any extra rooms. Why do you want to change rooms?"
Zhang Wanwan couldn't answer, "The mirror, there's something wrong with the mirror."
The receptionist glanced at her. "The mirror is broken? Come on, I'll go with you to take a look."
The two returned to the room, where the mirror was intact, without any bloodstains or human face.
The receptionist said, "No problem, are you seeing things?"
"But……"
Zhang Wanwan stammered, unsure of how to express herself.
She studied medicine and always believed in science. She didn't believe in these superstitious and mystical things, not to mention others.
The receptionist walked away impatiently. "I see you're a college student, you've read so many books and you should know some basic principles. Please don't be unreasonable, I still have to work."
Zhang Wanwan was left alone in the room, at a loss.
Graduation season is here, and I'm busy with job interviews and writing and submitting my thesis for review. I'm staying up late every day, and I might have misread something because I'm too tired lately.
She recited her lessons aloud to bolster her courage, and nothing strange happened afterward.
Perhaps it was just my imagination, Zhang Wanwan felt relieved.
At midnight, she planned to take a shower and go to bed.
The bathroom is transparent and has a wet and dry separation design.
A misty fog rose, she blinked, and the lights in the room suddenly went out.
Zhang Wanwan was shocked and quickly tried to open the bathroom door, but she couldn't.
The next second, the entire bathroom was covered with a dense array of bloody handprints, carrying a strong, fishy stench.
Zhang Wanwan screamed, "Aaaaaah!!"
"Hahaha, hahaha..."
A terrifying laugh suddenly came from somewhere, and Zhang Wanwan covered her mouth tightly.
A chilling aura crept up the back of her neck, making her shiver uncontrollably.
The bloody handprints slowly converged, forming a woman's face, which was disfigured and covered with horrifying scars.
Especially those empty eyes, like a venomous snake eyeing its prey, exuding a chilling aura.
Zhang Wanwan felt a chill run down her spine and couldn't help but gag.
"Ugh... Mom... Ugh..."
"Waaaaah... Mommy, help, Mommy..."
Her thoughts were in disarray, and she said whatever came to mind.
"Buddha, Guanyin, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, God, save me!"
"Demons and monsters, get out of here..."
"Heavenly spirits, earthly spirits, Laozi, come quickly!"
"Prosperity, democracy, civility, harmony, and freedom..."
I don't know how much time passed, or which spell took effect, but the room lights suddenly came on.
Zhang Wanwan put on her bathrobe, opened the door, and rushed downstairs.
She developed a high fever that night, and her hospital interview was naturally canceled.
A day later, her fever subsided, but she kept feeling a cold wind blowing on her back.
It's late April now, and Zhang Wanwan is still feeling cold even though she's wearing a thick sweater. She also has a faint smell of decay on her body.
Aunt Zhang gripped her hand tightly, "Oh dear, Master, look at this child's hands, they're so cold."
"You encountered a ghost. You have a lot of yin energy on you. Just get some sun."
Lin Xi looked at Zhang Wanwan, "The female ghost is in the hotel?"
Zhang Wanwan nodded vigorously, "Master, I saw it, I really saw it. I will never forget that face and those eyes."
Aunt Zhang patted her on the back, "Master, if we don't get rid of the female ghost, my niece probably won't be able to get over this. Do you think you could go on a business trip? I'll cover all the expenses."
Lin Xi thought for a moment, then said, "Of course."
Having consulted fortune tellers for so long, this was the first time she had encountered a malevolent ghost, and she was somewhat excited.
Lin Xi waved her hand, "Everyone, the matter is urgent, we'll do the rest of the divination tomorrow."
The elderly people expressed their understanding, saying that nothing is more important than human life, and that small family matters can be settled at any time.
