Chapter 31 Who is Xiao Jin?

Lin Xi took a taxi home as usual and went straight to sleep.

At one o'clock in the afternoon, Wu Ma finished preparing the meal and gently knocked on the door, "Young Madam, lunch is ready."

Lin Xi rolled over. "Okay, I'll sleep for another five minutes."

Wu Ma waited for half an hour, but no one came out.

She quietly opened the door and peeked inside.

The young mistress looked unwell, as if she had stayed up all night crying.

Aunt Wu muttered under her breath, "The young master went abroad right after his wedding. No wonder the young mistress cried all night."

This can't go on. With Butler Liu gone, she's the one who has to protect the love between the young master and his wife.

Wu Ma took out her phone to send a message.

"Young Master, the Young Madam is very ill and hasn't eaten for a day and a night."

What illness does Linxi have? Aunt Wu, please take her to the hospital for a checkup.

The young mistress refused to go and cried all night. I couldn't persuade her. Young master, please come back quickly; she needs you.

"Aunt Wu, keep an eye on her, I'll be right back."

Aunt Wu put down her phone and smiled with satisfaction.

The eldest young master is usually so aloof, but he becomes extremely anxious when the young mistress is mentioned.

The young master adores his young mistress, but he just doesn't know how to express it.

She needs to learn more from Butler Liu and create opportunities for the two of them.

As Wu Ma thought about it, a warm smile spread across her face.

"Aunt Wu, what are you grinning about at my door?" Lin Xi asked as she walked out, yawning.

Wu Ma immediately hid her phone, feeling a little guilty. "It's nothing, Madam. The food is ready."

Lin Xi said, "Thank you, Aunt Wu. Shall we eat something together?"

"No, Butler Liu is urging me to go back." Wu Ma waved her hand and ran off quickly. "Young Madam, please enjoy your meal."

Lin Xi touched her face.

Is she scary-looking?

Why did Aunt Wu run so fast when she saw her?

A rich aroma wafted over, and Lin Xi went downstairs for dinner.

It has to be said that Aunt Wu's cooking skills are superb; she ate an extra bowl of rice than usual.

After lunch, Lin Xi took the five little paper figures to buy seeds.

Yesterday she asked Fu Jingyao if she could use the land in the house freely.

Cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, bird's eye chilies, eggplants, watermelons, pumpkins...

Lin Xi bought a little bit of every seed available on the market, returned to the villa, and lay on the armchair watching the little paper figures farm.

Little Wood and Little Gold dug holes and buried the seeds obediently, while Little Water and Little Fire scattered the seeds at will.

The little soil used its own strength to directly transplant the seed into the soil.

After burying the seeds, Xiao Shui took a deep breath, sprayed out a mouthful of water, and watered the seeds.

Little Wood clapped its hands excitedly, "Master, it's sprouting! It's sprouting!"

Lin Xi looked closely.

The seeds that were just planted sprouted tiny green shoots and slowly unfurled two leaves.

Xiao Mu used the power of the Wood Spirit, so these fruits and melons grew faster and could be eaten in two weeks.

Lin Xi beckoned, "Come here, everyone."

The four little paper figures are arranged in order, standing at attention.

Xiao Tu, not understanding why, imitated them and stood in the same position.

He asked blankly, "Master, what do you want to do?"

"I will share some of your merits with you."

Lin Xi made a hand seal, and her body emitted a faint golden light, mixed with a wisp of purple light.

She gently tapped the forehead of each little paper figure.

The five little paper figures happily spun around, saying, "So comfortable, thank you, Master."

The golden light of merit is extremely precious and can increase one's cultivation level.

After delivering the donation, Lin Xi lay back in her chair.

She felt sleepy again, so she pulled the blanket over her head and drifted into a sweet dream.

The little paper figures each went to find a place to cultivate.

Little Tu decided to lie on its owner's belly and cultivate.

Fu Jingyao rushed home and saw this scene.

Lin Xi lay there quietly with her eyes closed, her hands hanging limply at her sides, covered with a thin layer of paper.

This paper looks exactly like the yellow paper used for funerals.

Fu Jingyao was stunned.

He's late!

At that moment, he felt incredibly guilty.

He shouldn't have left Linxi at home alone, shouldn't have come back so late, and shouldn't have gone abroad alone.

A sharp pain shot through his chest, making it hard for him to breathe.

She left him again...

Why "again"?

Fu Jingyao was unable to think straight; his fingers trembled violently, and his voice choked with emotion, "Lin Xi, I'm sorry, I'm only just getting back..."

"Who's disturbing my sleep?!"

Lin Xi pulled back the blanket and saw the man next to her. She was so startled that she fell to the ground, chair and all.

Their eyes met, both filled with shock.

Lin Xi: "Why are you back?!"

Fu Jingyao: "You're not dead?!"

Lin Xi blinked. "Who told you I'm dead?"

The sadness abruptly ended, and Fu Jingyao instantly understood what had happened; it was all a misunderstanding.

He was extremely embarrassed.

Lin Xi looked him over suspiciously. "Didn't you say seven days? Why are you back so soon?"

Fu Jingyao cleared his throat to cover his embarrassment, "The company matters have been taken care of ahead of schedule."

"Oh, oh." Lin Xi pushed back in her chair. "You startled me and made me fall."

"Feel sorry."

Fu Jingyao reached out and helped her up.

Lin Xi grasped his hand and used it to stand up. "It's okay, I'll go back and change my clothes."

Fu Jingyao hesitated for a moment, "Lin Xi, do you want to go to the hospital to get it checked out?"

Lin Xi turned around and said, "I'm not injured, no need."

Fu Jingyao frowned, sensing that something was amiss.

"Aunt Wu said you're sick and haven't eaten all day."

Lin Xi rubbed her stomach. "I'm not sick. I even ate three bowls of rice at noon."

Fu Jingyao figured out the key to the whole thing: Wu Ma!
