The girl smiled gently, like the rising sun, radiating boundless light.
Xiao Tu was stunned, licking the saliva from the corner of her mouth, "So beautiful, doesn't look like a monster."
Xiao Jin said coldly, "The prettier something is, the more poisonous it is. Be careful."
Xiao Tu wiped his drool and said, "Thank you for your guidance, Brother Jin."
Little Jin asked, "Master, should we catch her?"
His tone was icy, his eyes indifferent, and he seemed poised to pin Xiaoyu to the ground immediately.
Lin Xi shook her head, "Don't rush when you first enter the dream. It's only useful if you catch the big boss."
The girl's face was youthful and innocent.
But she had a very faint, almost imperceptible smell of debris about her, which was masked by the fishy smell.
Lin Xi hadn't noticed this before, but after smelling it carefully, she realized something was wrong.
The way the fragments appear is getting stranger and stranger. The time before last it was a thousand-year-old corpse, the time before that it was a monster ghost realm, and this time it is hidden in a dream.
Xiaoyu uses the power of the fragments to weave a dream.
Lin Xi felt it couldn't be that simple; there must be a big secret hidden behind it.
Xiaoyu felt the intense gaze and gave a shy smile. "Sister Xiaoxi, is there something on my face? Why are you staring at me?"
Lin Xi looked up at the distant sky and asked casually, "Where do you live?"
"arrive!"
Xiaoyu excitedly ran to open the door, "Dad, Sister, we have guests!"
She pushed open the wooden door, and a middle-aged man with faltering steps walked in, leaning on a cane.
The man had graying temples, a hunched back, and looked thirty years older than his peers; he could easily be Xiaoyu's grandfather.
He opened his mouth, his hoarse voice carrying a hint of kindness.
"Xiaoyu is back."
Xiaoyu held his hand and said, "Dad, the doctor said that you should move around less as you get older. You should go back to your room and rest."
"No, I'm not old."
The old man was trembling all over, his mouth opening and closing, with only two or three broken teeth remaining.
He shakily held up three fingers, said one word, and shook them three times.
"I'm only thirty, not old."
Xiao Tu exclaimed in surprise, "It's absolutely impossible to be thirty; one hundred and thirty would be more like it."
The old man was covered in yellowish-brown spots, and his whole body exuded an air of decay, as if he would be buried at any moment.
Xiaoyu smiled sheepishly, "My dad is sick, so he looks older than others."
Upon hearing this, the old man became very excited, "I'm the village chief, not old at all, cough cough cough!!"
“Father isn’t old, he can live another eighty years.” Xiaoyu continued, “We have guests here, let’s not let them laugh at us, let’s go inside.”
The old village chief turned his stiff neck, his two eyes bulging out and bloodshot.
"It's been a long time since we've had any guests. You've come at just the right time."
"Let's go, let's go..."
Xiao Tu rubbed his arms, his mind racing with ideas.
Could this be the legendary cannibal village, where only by drinking human blood and eating human flesh can one become young again?
Without outsiders, the village chief can't eat people; he'll grow old day by day and die tomorrow.
For her father's sake, Xiaoyu pretended to be an innocent girl to lure outsiders into the village, and then ate them whole.
No wonder Xiaoyu isn't afraid of strangers and even dares to invite them to her home for dinner.
It turns out the fish were the bait, and they were the real food!
Xiao Tu took ten steps back and held Lin Xi's hand tightly. "Master, I'm a little scared."
Xiaoyu turned around with a bright smile, "Children, don't be afraid, we don't eat people."
!!
Xiao Tu was terrified. "Master, she... she can read minds."
Lin Xi rubbed his head. "You don't have mind-reading abilities. Don't scare yourself. Your expression betrays your true feelings. Learn from Xiao Jin next to you."
Xiao Jin remained expressionless throughout, frowning whether she was happy or not.
Xiao Tu seemed to understand but not quite, saying, "I've already learned it all."
Xiaoyu stood in the yard, put down the wooden bucket in her hand, and said, "Sister Xiaoxi, you guys rest for a while, I'll go cook."
Lin Xi said calmly, "No need to trouble yourself. Rest first, and we'll cook for you later."
"Um."
Xiaoyu lowered her head, her ear tips turning slightly red.
Xiao Mu didn't understand. "Why is she blushing? Is she captivated by her master's irresistible charm?"
Xiao Shui complained, "It's clearly his ears that are red."
Lin Xi released Fu Jingyao, holding a small elf in each hand, and said, "Speak less and go inside."
Inside the room, a young woman was embroidering. She looked very much like Xiaoyu; they were practically twins.
Her features became more striking, and she exuded the charm of a mature woman.
Xiaoyu introduced with a smile, "My older sister is named Aruo, and she is two years older than me."
Aruo heard the noise, her eyes darted around, she picked up a handkerchief to cover her face, and her voice was as clear as a secluded orchid in a valley.
"Xiaoyu, how can you bring a man in?! If..."
Xiaoyu took her hand and playfully stuck out her tongue, "Sister, I was wrong. The child is not yet seven years old, it's okay. As for this one..."
She looked up at Fu Jingyao and broke out in a cold sweat.
Xiaoyu gasped for breath, "He, he..."
This man seemed to come from another world; his powerful aura reminded her of it.
This is a dream!!
No, this can't be a dream.
Xiaoyu immediately returned to normal and ignored the question.
She forced a smile. "There's an old saying that children under seven shouldn't sit together. The six children look like they're under three, so it's alright."
Xiao Mu suppressed a laugh, "Ha, the dignified CEO has become a three-year-old brat."
Fu Jingyao's gaze darkened slightly.
Lin Xi comforted him, "Anything is possible in dreams, little Jingyao, just bear with it for a while."
Fu Jingyao said sullenly, "Okay, I'll listen to you."
Lin Xi suppressed her laughter and continued to observe Xiao Yu and Aruo.
They all had a faint scent of fragments on them, though the smell was very faint.
