After an unknown amount of time, Yu Ruo gradually regained consciousness, and the images from before she lost consciousness flashed through her mind.
She fell into the sea, a monster opened its mouth to eat her, and then a mysterious person saved her...
right!
She didn't die; she came back to life.
Yu Ruo suddenly sat up, curiously looking around, her eyes widening instantly.
She lay in the seashell, surrounded by seawater, with schools of fish swimming overhead and seaweed swaying constantly.
She's still in the sea!
Yu Ruo was shocked and took a deep breath, no longer feeling the intense suffocation she had felt before.

Yu Ruo looked up and saw a transparent bubble enveloping the entire seashell, preventing seawater from flowing in.
This bubble was beyond her imagination.
Yu Ruo sat there blankly, motionless.
Not far away, the crab general complained to the shrimp soldier, "The humans the king brought back are really ugly."
"Exactly, exactly, skinny arms and legs, so ugly."
"Let's go take a look."
Two bizarre-looking objects came into view, and Yu Ruo screamed in fright, "Ahhh! Monsters!!"
The crab general, unconvinced, raised its enormous pincers, "You're the monster! We are..."

"Magnificent shrimp soldiers."
"And also, the great king."
Yu Ruo trembled all over and shrank into a corner of the seashell. "Don't come any closer! Get away!!"
"Ugly humans, cowards!" The crab general and the shrimp soldier had just extended one of their pincers when they were immediately flung away.

Yu Ruo looked up, her deep blue fish tail shimmering in the light, her scales sparkling with dazzling light.
He floated in the sea, his eyebrows lowered, his azure eyes hiding unreadable emotions, like a god.
Yu Ruo's heart skipped a beat. "You saved me?"
The merman waded through the layers of seawater and stopped beside her, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.
It was the first time Yu Ruo had been so close to such a handsome and refined man, and she blushed and stammered as she spoke.
"Thank you for saving me. My name is... Yu Ruo. May I ask your name...?"
The merman slowly opened his mouth, as if he hadn't spoken in a long time. His voice was low and hoarse, with a hint of caution.
“沧，鳞”
Yu Ru forced a smile, her heart pounding with nervousness. "Cang Lin, a good name."
Cang Lin stared at her for a while, then picked up a few red fruits with his fair fingers.
He tilted his head and uttered two words with difficulty, "Hungry, eat."
"Thanks."
Yu Ruo hurriedly caught it, her fingertips touching the cold skin, her whole face turning bright red.
Canglin thought she was injured and circled around her several times, becoming increasingly anxious as he couldn't find any wounds.
He leaned closer and gently licked her cheek.
Yu Ruo was stunned, almost unable to breathe, and quickly pushed the rogue fish away.
"What are you doing?!"
Canglin blinked his innocent big eyes, wanting to explain but not knowing how to say it.
At the crucial moment, the crab general extended one of its pincers and said, "Ugly humans, don't overthink it, and don't be infatuated with our king."
The merman licked his face, indicating that he was fine and should get lost.
The shrimp soldier blankly repeated the key point of the sentence, "Mermaid licking your face, get lost if you have nothing to do, hehe."
Yu Ruo didn't think that meant it. What bad intentions could a pretty little fish have?
She asked, "Are you asking if I'm injured?"
Cang Lin nodded, looking obedient, "Don't be angry."
Yu Ruo quickly explained to avoid any misunderstanding, "I'm not angry."
Seeing the human and the mermaid so close, the crab general said in a sarcastic tone, "Ugly human, the king fought with the sea monster to save you, and his tail was injured, and his heart was also injured. Your appearance will only bring disaster. Why don't you hurry home?!"
Yu Ruo recalled the voice she heard before she fainted, "You're injured, I'm sorry."
Cang Lin touched her face. "It's nothing, just talking nonsense."

Yu Ruo looked distressed and pressed on the wound, causing the scales to glow with layers of blue light.

The shrimp soldier, looking rather dim-witted, mimicked the shouts vividly, "Ahhh! Ugly humans, stop! Let go of my king!!"
Yu Ruo immediately stopped, "I, I..."
The giant fish shook its head, its tail swaying in a small arc, creating ripples in the seawater.
Crab continued to scream, like a boiling kettle, "Ahhh! In the Merfolk, touching the tail is equivalent to courtship!"
There's one more thing left unsaid: if a merman doesn't resist and allows others to touch his tail, it's equivalent to agreeing to mating.
Ugly human, how dare you defile his king!
The crab general shouted, "Ugly humans!"
The shrimp soldier mimicked him, shouting, "Ugly human!!"
Yu Ruo lowered her head, "Your friend doesn't seem to like me..."
Cang Lin's expression changed instantly, his gaze sharp and terrifying, and he waved his hand, unleashing a stream of water.
The crab generals and shrimp soldiers took off again, leaping out of the sea.
"I will definitely come back!"
"I will definitely come back!!"
Yu Ruo twitched the corner of her mouth. "Your friend is quite amazing."
Cang Lin leaned down, gazing into her eyes, and said, word by word, "No, they like it, they want it..."
Their eyes met, and Yu Ruo seemed to understand. "I understand what you mean."
Canglin shook its head, raised its long fish tail, and its color turned slightly greener.
"Tail, touched it..."
Yu Ruo's heart suddenly trembled, and she dared not look at him.
She heard the strange thing clearly: touching its tail was equivalent to courtship...
He saved her; he should repay her with his body.
