"White Impermanence, you have a lot of nerve!"
That voice is exactly the same as the Emperor of Fengdu, we're doomed!
Master Xuankong frantically tried to signal with his eyes, his whole face contorted and wrinkled.
My disciple, run! Master, hold the line!
Lin Xi stood calmly in place, wanting to see what kind of ghost the Fengdu Emperor was.
The shadowy figure was short, wore a demon mask, revealed a round chin, and held a calligraphy brush in its hand.
He doesn't resemble Yama, the King of Hell, but rather the legendary judge.
With a light touch of his brush, he flew over, his tone serious, "The White Impermanence brings living people into the underworld; his crime is compounded, and he will have a year's salary deducted."
Master Xuankong was stunned for a moment, then overjoyed, "Cui Yu, you pretended to be the Emperor of Fengdu again to deceive me, you scared me to death! You are not allowed to tell the Emperor of Fengdu about this."
As a judge, Cui Yu had to enforce the law impartially. He conjured up a notebook out of thin air and recorded Bai Wuchang's sins.
"I will tell you the truth when the Emperor of Fengdu returns."
Master Xuankong stamped his foot in frustration and grabbed his neck, saying, "Little Yuyu, don't be so heartless."
Cui Yu shoved him away, her face icy cold. "If you call me that disgusting name again, my judge's pen isn't just for show!"
The ink-black pen spun incessantly, as if trying to stab him to death, and Master Xuankong took a step back.
Cui Yu was older than him and had always followed the Emperor of Fengdu. He possessed profound skills and was in charge of the Book of Life and Death.
If it really came down to a fight, he wouldn't stand a chance.
Master Xuan Kong admitted defeat, "Little Yu Yu, I was wrong."
Cui Yu gave a haughty snort, then turned his gaze to the two living people, one of whom was unconscious on the ground, and the other was completely unfathomable.
He examined it closely, his eyes widening instantly.
Um?
The scent was so familiar; he would never mistake it.
Fortunately, he was wearing a mask, which concealed his facial expressions and prevented him from showing anything unusual.
Cui Yu was stunned for ten seconds, processing the shocking news, but still managed to hold back her curses.
"hateful!"
Master Xuankong was surprised, "You actually insulted me."
"Stop making noise." Cui Yu's usually cold voice was now tinged with anxiety. "Living people can't go to the underworld. Get her up there right away."
Master Xuan Kong pointed a finger and said, "I'm raising a young disciple, we're all family, don't drive her away."
Cui Yu ignored him, picked up her calligraphy brush, and prepared to leave.
Lin Xi suddenly spoke up, "Wait a minute."
With the Emperor of Fengdu absent, the judges are in charge of the entire underworld.
If you can't rely on your master, it's best to hand the Green Crow over to the judge.
Master Xuankong waved his hand, "Disciple, he doesn't even pay attention to me, so he won't pay attention to you either. Master will take you around, hurry back to the human world."
The usually aloof Cui Yu stopped and turned back. "What is it?"
Master Xuankong exclaimed in disbelief, "You listen so obediently when my disciple calls you, but you ignore me when I talk to you. You're really good at playing the double standard!"
Cui Yu couldn't stand it any longer, so she gently swung the brush, and the tip instantly became as big as a bowl.
He raised his hand and waved.
boom--!!
Master Xuankong was struck squarely on the buttocks and nearly fell into the River of Oblivion.
He roared angrily, "Little Yuyu, you're ruthless! I'm going to tell all the other ghosts about your shameful deeds."
Cui Yu's brow twitched, and he flicked his wrist to form a hand seal, summoning Black Impermanence to deal with White Impermanence.
With peace and quiet finally restored, Cui Yu asked again, "What is it?"
Lin Xi kicked the side, and Qingwu screamed in agony, "I don't want to stay in hell, get out of here!"
Cui Yu understood. "You want to lock this dim-witted man up in a hellish prison?"
Talking to smart people is much easier.
Lin Xi hummed in agreement. "Any requests? I'll definitely fulfill any requests that I can do."
Without even thinking, Cui Yu refused outright.
Even if you gave him a hundred lives, he wouldn't dare to make any demands of her.
A hundred years from now, the underworld will undergo a major change.
Cui Yu was very enthusiastic, saying, "I don't have any requirements. Don't worry, I will keep an eye on him and we can come to the underworld to pick him up anytime."
Lin Xi was somewhat surprised; the judge was kinder than she had imagined and agreed so easily.
She originally intended to take out ten gold ingots to bribe Gui Xin.
Since she was so easy to talk to, Lin Xi didn't hold back and made her request, "I'm entrusting the person to you, but there's one more thing I'd like to ask of you."
Cui Yu: "Please speak."
Lin Xi said calmly, "May I borrow the Book of Life and Death to take a look?"
Cui Yu politely declined, saying, "The Book of Life and Death is a magical artifact of the underworld. Outsiders cannot and should not look at it. Please leave."
Lin Xi took out a gold ingot that she had prepared beforehand, "Help me investigate someone."
The glittering gold ingots were placed in front of him. Cui Yu glanced at them a few times, his heart filled with intense longing, but his face remained calm.
"I can help you, but I can't accept money. Who are you investigating?"
Lin Xi said, word by word, "Fu Jingyao, the surname Fu often used by domineering CEOs, Jing as in imperial capital, and Yao as in Yao, Shun, and Yu."
More than once I felt strange that Fu Jingyao was born with the destiny of an emperor, and his body was filled with a strong purple aura, yet he had no merit whatsoever.
Lin Xi was afraid something might happen to him; even the slightest chance was unacceptable.
She said softly, "You are in charge of the Book of Life and Death, help me find out what caused me to lose all my merits."
Cui Yu's face twitched when he heard the name.
Grabbing the brush in one hand and lifting the green crow in the other, he rushed swiftly into the eighteenth level of hell, the whole process taking no more than 0.1 seconds.
Qingwu struggled desperately, crying out, "No one asked me if I wanted to go! I don't want to go to hell!!"
His screams and howls merged into one, disappearing into the River of Oblivion.
Master Xuankong ran over, "Huh? Where's Xiaoyuyu?"
Lin Xi shook her head. "He's gone, so I'm leaving too."
"Disciple, you've finally come down here, play a few games with your master." Master Xuankong rolled his eyes and stared intently at the gold ingot.
He reached in and scooped up the gold ingot, which was now in his pocket.
