Chapter 445 Why Didn't You Come Sooner?

Ayao stared intently at the sky with a worried expression.

The boy paced anxiously, "The tiger demon is so big, and the abbot is so small. They don't even have weapons. How can they possibly defeat it?"

The tiger demon was enormous, and when it roared, the ground trembled three times.

Lingxi remained calm, channeling her spiritual energy into the tree branch before rushing straight up.

The tiger demon swallowed the severed limbs in its mouth and greedily stared at the living person in front of it.

It smells so good!

She smelled better than everyone else there!

I'm hungry again, I want to eat.

The tiger demon flicked its tail and roared with all its might.

"Roar! Ro ...

The tiger's roar was deafening, piercing straight to the top of one's head.

The child pressed his ears, feeling dizzy.

The tiger demon's voice is strange, Abbot, be careful!

Lingxi uses tree branches as swords, each move deadly.

With a single sword strike, the tiger demon's leg was severed.

Two sword strikes, and the tiger demon's eyes were blinded.

With three sword strikes, the tiger demon's fur was gone.

Lingxi sheathed her sword and waved it lightly with her bare hand.

The tiger demon flew ten zhang away and fell to the ground dead.

Ayao and Xiaotong stared wide-eyed at the scene in disbelief.

Master/Abbot is so powerful that he killed the tiger demon with an ordinary tree branch.

shock!!

The child jumped up excitedly, "Wow! Abbot, you're amazing!"

Ayao stared at the graceful figure, his eyes sparkling, "Master is amazing."

In the future, he will become just as amazing.

Lingxi's eyes remained calm and undisturbed, her crescent-white skirt swaying gracefully as she walked.

"They're gone."

The boy followed, laughing to himself, "The abbot is so handsome, no one in the whole world can compare to a single hair of his."

Ayao smacked him on the head hard, "Shut up! How can a vulgar mortal compare to Master?"

Xiao Tong covered the bump on his head and said, "Xinji Yao is right. Xiao Tong is wrong, very wrong."

Ayao glared at him and then stopped talking.

The little boy stuck out his tongue and smiled smugly.

Lingxi had no time to pay attention to the two of them; her gaze was fixed on the tiger demon's corpse, and her expression gradually became solemn.

Master, who was always aloof, showed such an expression for the first time. Ayao asked, "Master, what's wrong?"

Lingxi pondered for a moment, "The tiger demon is not right."

The child realized, "A tiger must cultivate for at least a hundred years and pass through nine tribulations of lightning before it can become a spirit."

"This tiger demon is only five years old; it's impossible for it to have become a spirit."

"Master, there's something wrong with it!!"

Lingxi nodded. "The tiger demon exudes a strange aura, full of killing intent and resentment. This aura caused it to develop intelligence prematurely."

The child squatted down, "I didn't see that... uh!"

He clutched his own neck, his eyes bulging, his face contorted in pain.

"Master, save us..."

Lingxi took the child's hand and pulled him away from the tiger demon.

The grip on his neck disappeared, and the child gasped for breath. "Master... what happened?"

“You’ve been misled.” Lingxi frowned. “People with unstable minds are easily misled. Neither Ayao nor I are in any trouble.”

Ayao straightened his chest and smiled innocently, "Master is right, Xiaotong needs more exercise."

The little boy rolled his eyes wildly; scheming Yao!

He was very determined and only wanted to eat a big chicken leg.

The boy said sullenly, "Master, I'll be more careful next time."

After walking for a while, the three stopped at a high point.

At the foot of the mountain, there are rows of thatched huts, with wisps of smoke rising from their chimneys; it's dinnertime.

Lingxi hurried down the mountain. "Follow me."

She vanished in a flash, and Ayao and Xiaotong chased after her desperately, only to see her flowing embroidered skirt.

The child asked in confusion, "Why is the abbot running so fast?"

After analyzing the situation, Ayao roughly understood: "There are many wild animals in the mountains and forests. If a five-year-old tiger can become a spirit, other wild animals can too."

"Think about it carefully, what will happen down the mountain?"

The boy wasn't that stupid; he understood immediately: "The area below the mountain is surrounded by monsters, and the abbot is all alone."

"Stop talking nonsense and hurry up and catch up with your master!!"

Ayao was anxious, and clenched his fists.

If he were as capable as his master, he could be of help instead of hiding in the background.

Why didn't his master teach him esoteric arts?

"Awooo—!"

"Hiss hiss hiss~~"

"Hohoho!!"

Ahead, the sounds of various wild beasts echoed through the sky.

Lingxi held a tree branch in her hand, her face serene and aloof.

As soon as she appeared, the wild beasts stopped gnawing on the corpse and swarmed around her.

Human, smells delicious! Eat her!

The wolf pack attacked first, opening their blood-red maws, howling!

The venomous snake lurked, waiting for an opportunity to pounce.

Lingxi remained calm, each sword strike piercing a small wild beast, her snow-white skirt gradually turning red.

These wild beasts seemed tireless, charging forward one after another, attempting to devour her.

The air was thick with the stench of blood, and there were severed limbs, dismembered organs, and pieces of flesh everywhere.

A bloody scene greeted the child, who immediately vomited, "Ugh... You scheming Yao... Go find the abbot, ugh."

Ayao forced a smile as he searched for the white figure amidst the blood-soaked ground, his heart filled with growing worry.

He searched inch by inch, even picking up an arm from the ground to see if it was his master.

No! I can't find it!

As Ayao ran, he shouted, his voice filled with urgency.

"Master, where are you?"

"Master, Master... are you alright?"

Lingxi was stringing venomous snakes when she vaguely heard her cheap apprentice's voice. She raised the branch in her hand to indicate that she was alright.

The scene was very strange.

Ayao paused, his eyes widening.

The master, expressionless, picked up a string of venomous snakes. The snake scales gleamed with a cold luster, making her look like a ruthless demon.

Bah! My master is not a demon, she is a beautiful fairy.
