"Master, save me!"
When He Ting saw Lin Xi, it was as if he had seen his own mother; he hugged her legs tightly.
"Master, I..."
Before he could finish speaking, Fu Jingyao picked him up and threw him out.
Holy crap!
He Ting plopped down on the ground. "Fu Jingyao, what are you doing? Murder!"
Fu Jingyao remained expressionless, giving the impression that if he uttered another word, he would be sent to Africa immediately.
He Ting swallowed hard and raised his hands in surrender.
"President Fu, Master Lin, I was wrong. I have offended you in the past. Please forgive me this time."
Fu Jingyao remained expressionless. "Save him or not?"
Lin Xi stepped forward. "If it is indeed a fox demon who is harming people, then of course I must capture her."
In the Dharma-ending Age, it is not easy for demons to become spirits.
This fox demon, instead of cultivating deep in the mountains and forests, has come out to harm humans.
Catching evil spirits and vengeful ghosts brings great merit, and as a sorcerer, she cannot allow fox demons to run rampant.
Lin Xi looked the man on the ground up and down. "You have a strong fox demon aura about you. What is your relationship with her?"
“We’re not really related. We’ve only known each other for a week. I even saved her life.”
He Ting's eyes reddened slightly. "I have no grudge against Bai Rou, why did she harm me?"
Lin Xi said calmly, "Fox demons love to suck the life essence of young men. I warned you before, yet you still keep a fox demon by your side."
The implication is that you deserve it.
He Ting hung his head. "Bai Rou was all alone, so pitiful. Who knew she was a fox demon?"
He forced a smile that looked more like a grimace. "Master, am I going to die?"
"Not to the point of death."
Lin Xi turned around and said, "You have the alluring charm of a fox demon, but it hasn't harmed your body's fundamental nature."
"This fox demon has given you some leeway, but it's also possible she'll spare your life and play with you slowly."
"Tell me, what happened?"
He Ting confessed everything in detail.
That day, he was slapped by Ji Zheng and was in a bad mood.
A friend invited him to a club for drinks, so after dropping Bai Rou off at home, He Ting prepared to go for a drink.
Bai Rou insisted on going with him.
He Ting didn't care about her and let her follow him into the private room.
Inside the private room, the others kept making jokes.
"Young Master He, where did you find your sister?"
"What sister? She's clearly a woman."
"Oh, Young Master He, you've changed your tastes?"
"You don't understand, Young Master He's tastes have always been like this."
He Ting shouted irritably, "Shut up, all of you!"
The group exchanged glances and then shut their mouths.
Zhou Feng seized the opportunity to mock him, "Young Master He, with a beauty by your side, what's the point of just drinking? Why don't you try something else?"
He Ting ignored him and said, "Get lost!"
Zhou Feng smiled and sized up the two of them. "Young Master He, are you out of your mind? Who made you angry? Could it be..."
He deliberately dragged out the last syllable, and He Ting grabbed his head and slammed it against the sofa, shouting, "It's your grandfather!"
Zhou Feng immediately cowered and quickly apologized, "Young Master He, I'm sorry, I misspoke."
He Ting stared at him coldly.
A group of people were trying to persuade her, and Bai Rou tugged at his sleeve, a look of fear on her face.
He Ting let go of her hand and slumped onto the sofa, drinking alone in silence.
Bai Rou stayed quietly to one side, glancing at the person next to her every now and then, seemingly very worried about him.
Zhou Feng stared at the two of them with a sinister look.
He was always overshadowed by He Ting, and he was inferior to him in every aspect.
When he was in college, he fell in love with a girl and excitedly went to confess his feelings, but she liked He Ting instead.
From then on, he and He Ting became irreconcilable enemies.
Zhou Feng lowered his eyelids and let out a cold sneer.
"He Ting, this woman seems very important to you. If you ruin her, tsk tsk!"
He gave him a wink.
Everyone held their wine glasses and poured wine for He Ting one after another.
"Young Master He, it's been a long time. Let me toast you."
"Young Master He, I'll drink first. We won't leave until we're drunk tonight."
He Ting drank heavily, completely ignoring the people around him.
Bai Rou was beaming with excitement, ignoring the drunkards around her; she had found a fun place.
Her aunt always lied to her, saying that life wasn't fun.
Look, this place is so much fun!
Wait, this is going to get even more fun.
He Ting kept drinking, and the people around him disappeared without him noticing, including Zhou Feng.
"ah--!!!"
Suddenly, a scream came from outside.
He Ting sobered up a bit and realized Bai Rou was gone. He grabbed the person next to him, "Where is she?"
"Young Master Zhou took her out!"
"Zhou Feng!"
He Ting got up, pushed open the door, and went out. "Bai Rou, where are you?"
Bai Rou stood obediently at the door, her expression very innocent. She stretched out her hands, the backs of which were wet.
He Ting understood. "You went to the restroom?"
Bai Rou nodded and pulled him outside.
He Ting understood what she meant. "Okay, let's go back."
Zhou Feng suddenly rushed out, his eyes filled with terror, and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Monster! She's a monster!"
He Ting turned around and shouted impatiently, "Zhou Feng, what nonsense are you talking about?"
Zhou Feng was shaking uncontrollably, repeatedly uttering two words.
"Monster, monster!"
Bai Rou bit her lower lip tightly, tears welling up in her eyes.
She shook her head frantically and gestured with her hands.
I'm not a monster, sob sob sob.
He Ting rubbed her head. "Alright, alright, I understand what you mean."
"Zhou Feng, you want a beating, don't you!"
He pinned Zhou Feng down and beat him up.
After the fight, the alcohol hit him hard, and He Ting felt dizzy and collapsed to the ground.
