Chapter 229 Group Photo

Yun Yan looked away, blinked again, and held back her tears.

Sigh, I'm so prone to tears; I feel like crying whenever I get emotional.

You can't cry, it's too embarrassing.

Yun Yan took a deep breath and took out the check. "Here, take this back."

Fu Jingyao didn't answer, but instead suddenly asked, "What does Xixi usually call you?"

Yun Yan didn't understand why he was being asked that. Since it involved his junior master, he honestly replied, "Yun Yan, or..."

Remembering that awkward nickname, he dug his toes into the ground.

This matter must be clarified so that it does not cause misunderstandings and affect the young master's married life.

Yun Yan remained expressionless, uttering each word clearly, "When I was little, my grandmaster mistook me for a girl, so she called me Yunyun."

Fu Jingyao raised an eyebrow and lectured in the tone of an elder, "Yunyun, Xixi is your little grandmaster, so you should call me grandmaster."

"Keep the gifts from your elders safe, and children should buy themselves more things."

Yun Yan froze on the spot.

Ugh! They're treating him like a child again.

Birds fly like this, so do Master and Junior Grandmaster, and even Junior Grandmaster's man.

But thinking about it carefully, it seems reasonable that the junior master's man is called the master's grandfather.

To demonstrate the excellent upbringing of Yuanqing Temple, Yunyan finally managed to say after a long pause, "Thank you, Junior Grandmaster."

Adding the word "small" was his last act of defiance.

The tears that had just been suppressed welled up again, and Yunyan rushed to a corner and blinked frantically.

He took a deep breath. "Grandmaster, call me when Master arrives."

Fu Jingyao smiled with a pleased expression. "Remember this form of address from now on."

As long as they're not rivals in love, no one can steal his wife away.

At the amusement park, the race is in its final stages, and the green car crashes into the yellow car.

Lin Xi stepped forward first, saying, "Old man, you lost."

Fu Jingyao stepped forward. "Xixi, are you happy?"

Lin Xi smiled, "Of course I'm happy. What were you and Yun Yan talking about?"

Fu Jingyao slowly parted his lips and said, "It's nothing, let's talk about how to address each other."

Immediately afterwards, Master Jingyuan came out, clutching his waist and shouting, "Yunyan, disciple, help me up! Where have you been?"

In the corner, Yun Yan patted his face, composed himself, and strode out. "Master, we should go."

"Ouch, don't pull me, I just hurt my back," Master Jingyuan cried out in pain. "Wait a minute, I need to rest."

Fu Jingyao reminded him, "There's a pavilion over there."

Master Jingyuan put his hands on his hips and said, "Disciple, help me to the pavilion to sit down."

Yun Yan's face was full of helplessness as he dragged and pulled the person toward the pavilion. "Master, leave in five minutes."

Master Jingyuan rubbed his lower back and looked up at him. "Disciple, why are your eyes red? Did you cry secretly just now?"

The disciple is simple-minded, while the master's man is cunning and shrewd; it's likely that all his secrets have been extracted from him.

"No." Yun Yan glared at him. "Shut up."

Master Jingyuan winked and lowered his voice, asking, "Disciple, what did you say to your grandmaster's man? Where's that check? Give it to me and I'll keep it safe for you."

Yun Yan ignored him.

Master Jingyuan stood up and moved a couple of times. "Disciple, don't be angry. We'll leave right away."

He looked at the two people not far away, "Little Martial Master, Little Martial Master's man..."

"That's a strange way to address you," Fu Jingyao said casually. "Just call me whatever you're supposed to call me according to seniority."

Master Jingyuan changed his address without any hesitation, "Grandmaster, thank you for the hospitality this afternoon. You have passed my test, and from now on you are a member of Yuanqing Temple."

In that short hour, he deeply felt Fu Jingyao's love for his junior master.

It's not feigned; it's genuine love.

I'm off, I need to get my fill of dog food if I stay any longer.

Master Jingyuan stroked his beard, rushed over and tugged at Lin Xi's sleeve, "Little Grandmaster, come here, I have a few words to say."

Lin Xi was puzzled. "Why are you being so mysterious? You can just say it here. There are no outsiders here."

Master Jingyuan shook his head, "No, men are not allowed to eavesdrop on girls' affairs."

He turned around and ordered, "Disciple, keep a close eye on your grandmaster and don't let him sneak up on you."

Yun Yan was helpless for the hundredth time.

My master is a magical being; he can be very old or very young, and his gender can be either male or female.

What could he do?

Choose to obey.

On the other side, Master Jingyuan and Lin Xi stood in a clump of grass, facing each other.

Master Jingyuan smiled in an extremely lewd manner and asked in a low voice, "Little Grandmaster, do you like him?"

Lin Xi blurted out, "I like it."

Master Jingyuan was full of questions.

So decisive, no hesitation?

Has even the young master become love-obsessed?

The young master is so rational, it's impossible for him to be love-struck; there's only one possibility left.

Master Jingyuan suddenly became serious, "Little Grandmaster, do you understand what true love is?"

Lin Xi said, "Of course I understand. I don't like you because you're disrespectful to your elders, love to trick people, and are always causing trouble."

As if stabbed in the heart for no reason, Master Jingyuan's smile froze. "Please don't drag me into this. What I mean is, can you distinguish between love, family, and friendship?"

A hint of confusion flashed in Lin Xi's eyes as she asked, "If you like someone, you like them. Why break up?"

“I know you don’t understand at all.” Master Jingyuan slapped his thigh in frustration. “Your master is so unreliable.”

The young master has lived alone in the mountains since he was a child, spending his days either catching ghosts or on his way to catch ghosts.

She has no family and doesn't understand kinship.
