Sun Li was furious: "You're spouting nonsense! My hotel is perfectly fine, how could there be a corpse there?!"
Lin Xi said calmly, "Whether it exists or not, we'll know once we call the police over to come and take a look."
Sun Li was startled.
Regardless of whether there is a body in the hotel, once word gets out that the police have been there, business will definitely suffer.
He has just taken office and will not allow such a thing to happen.
Sun Li sized up the woman in front of him, his attitude softening slightly. "Classmate, let's talk this out and discuss things properly. Getting the police involved is not good for the hotel or for you."
College students are naive and easily fooled.
Lin Xi glanced at him. "If this matter isn't resolved, your hotel will be completely finished, and you—"
She pointed at Sun Li and said, "You have the mark of a ghost on you, and you will soon become a scapegoat."
"What do you mean?" Sun Li was visibly panicked. "Where in this world are there ghosts?"
Before Lin Xi could speak, Zhang Wanwan, her eyes red, shouted, "There's a ghost! My room is haunted! I saw it with my own eyes!"
Deng Wei and Li Lin paused when they heard the familiar voice. "Zhang Wanwan, it's you."
Zhang Wanwan turned around and said, "Senior brothers and sisters, you're here for an interview at this hospital too, and you're staying at this hotel as well?"
Li Lin smiled sheepishly, "Junior sister, Deng Wei and I extended our studies by a year, so it's hard to find jobs."
The three exchanged a glance and sighed.
The eight-year medical program is in a very awkward position. There's no research opportunity, no residency training, and when you finally find a hospital hiring, you run into this kind of situation.
Seeing the bruises under their eyes, Zhang Wanwan tugged at Lin Xi, "Master, could you please take a look at my senior brothers and sisters?"
Lin Xi took out two purification talismans from her bag, slapped one on each person's forehead, and said, "You two have milder symptoms, just get some sun."
Deng Wei and Li Lin were much more sober; the chilling feeling behind them had disappeared.
"Holy crap!" Li Lin exclaimed in surprise, her eyes immediately lighting up with excitement. "Master, thank you so much!"
"You're welcome, five hundred each."
Lin Xi opened the QR code.
Li Lin quickly transferred 1,000 yuan, saying, "Thank you, master, for saving my life. I'd like to have my fortune told."
Lin Xi glanced at her and said, "Don't worry about work. You'll get what you want. Go back and prepare well for the interview the day after tomorrow."
Li Lin was stunned once again.
She didn't say anything, but the master seemed to have mind-reading abilities and guessed what she was thinking.
Li Lin and Deng Wei thanked him profusely and left reluctantly.
Sun Li stood to the side, dumbfounded.
What's going on? Has a charlatan arrived?
College students are so quick to accept new ideas; what happened to their supposed belief in science?
Sun Li eyed Lin Xi warily. "Who exactly are you?"
The person who saved your life.
Lin Xi stepped into the seaside hotel.
Sun Li shouted, "Wait a minute, you can't go in until you explain yourself clearly..."
Aunt Zhang grabbed his collar and roared menacingly, "My niece almost lost her life here! If you utter another word, I won't let you get away with it!"
"Hey hey!"
Sun Li was dragged into the hotel.
He cursed under his breath, "That wretched old lady."
We can't use violence, otherwise if the old lady lies down on the ground, the hotel's reputation will definitely be ruined.
Sun Li scratched his head, unsure of what to do.
Seeing this, the security guard dared not approach and instead dialed the police.
Lin Xi and her group successfully arrived at the room where Zhang Wanwan had stayed.
Aunt Zhang dragged Sun Li forward, "Open the door! If there's nothing inside, I'll kneel down and apologize to you! If there is, you just wait!"
Sun Li stood in front of the door, saying, "You can't go in before the police arrive."
This was the last room on the third floor, and he vaguely knew there was something wrong with it.
Those who have stayed here in the past few days have either developed a fever or become mentally disoriented from fright.
The cleaning staff cleaned the room but found nothing.
We've had a lot of guests lately, so we had no choice but to put them in this room. It would be foolish not to make money here.
Sun Li didn't believe the three men who said there was something fishy going on; he was convinced they were sent by their rivals to cause trouble.
Sun Li snorted coldly, "You have no right to order me around."
Lin Xi looked at him coldly, "Open the door quickly, this room is filled with a lot of yin energy, there are not only corpses inside, but also ghosts."
"no!"
Sun Li shook his head firmly.
I don't know if it's just my imagination, but the temperature behind me seems to have dropped a few degrees.
Lin Xi didn't want to waste time, so she pulled aside Sun Li in front of the door and kicked it open.
As soon as the door opened, a gust of cold wind rushed into the back of Sun Li's neck, and he couldn't help but shiver. "Why is it so cold?"
The cold wind grew stronger, rattling the windows loudly, and the entire room was shrouded in ink, so dark you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.
Sun Li finally realized something was wrong, his voice trembling, "The window wasn't open, so where did the wind come from?"
Lin Xi calmly said, "It was done by a ghost."
As she stepped inside, the wind blew even harder, blowing the blankets and pillows off the bed and making them float in the air, creating an extremely eerie scene.
Sun Li's eyes widened. "Holy crap! There's a ghost! There really is a ghost!!"
He called out to Lin Xi, "Hey classmate, come out here quickly."
If someone dies, he'll be fired.
Lin Xi held a talisman between her fingers. "You all stay outside. I'll deal with this ghost."
The door serves as a boundary; inside it is pitch black, while outside it is bathed in bright sunlight.
Sun Li trembled as he slowly approached Aunt Zhang.
Waaah, he was terrified.
Aunt Zhang gave him a disdainful look and said, "Don't sit next to me, get out of the way."
Sun Li hugged himself tightly, repeatedly chanting, "May the Jade Emperor protect me, may the Buddha protect me, please don't let anything happen."
