Lin Xi: "Oh. Drive, I'm in a hurry."
The ghost driver was a white ghost who had recently died. He didn't harbor much resentment and hadn't harmed anyone.
She couldn't be bothered to deal with such an ordinary ghost.
The ghost driver couldn't understand why the little girl wasn't scared.
In the past, anyone who saw him, from an eighty-year-old to a three-year-old toddler, was so frightened that they ran away in terror.
The ghost driver stretched his neck and blew a faint breath at Lin Xi, revealing a row of white teeth. "I really am a ghost."
Two bright red blood holes were facing her, and the eyeballs on the ground kept jumping around, making a crisp sound that gave her a headache.
Lin Xi was furious.
She picked up two eyeballs and stuffed them into the ghost driver's mouth, her tone cold, "If you're ugly, don't come out and scare people; it's an eyesore."
A powerful force surged forth, and the ghost driver's aura weakened somewhat.
He clutched his throat and coughed violently, screaming, "Whoa! I killed a demon!!!"
The shrill scream rang out again, and Lin Xi said expressionlessly, "If you make another sound, I'll kill you!"
The ghost driver sensed the boss's aura and dared not make a sound. He quickly gouged out the eyeballs from his stomach and put them back into the eye socket.
He obediently sat back in the driver's seat and fastened his seatbelt. "Master, I'm leaving right away, but I can't leave this place."
"It's okay, just keep driving." Lin Xi closed her eyes to rest.
The ghost driver glanced in the rearview mirror and stepped on the gas.
If we don't drive, we're doomed!
The ghost train traveled smoothly and unimpeded all the way to the ghost path.
The ghost driver was extremely excited.
Waaah, finally I'm leaving that awful place.
He can go home to see his family one last time.
Thinking of the master behind him, the ghost driver gave up on that idea and focused on driving.
There were very few vehicles on the ghost path, and clusters of blue ghost fire drifted around. The open space not far away was filled with ghosts.
"Everybody, let's get hyped!!"
"You are the most beautiful cloud in my sky~"
Lin Xi opened her eyes and looked out the window. Countless ghosts swayed their bodies to the rhythm of the music.
She saw a familiar figure from behind amidst the horde of ghosts.
The ghost car drove away quickly, and Lin Xi didn't think much of it.
Half an hour later, the ghost driver parked the car in a cemetery, chuckled awkwardly, and said, "Master, we've arrived."
Lin Xi gazed at the distant skyscrapers and said calmly, "You drove well."
The ghost driver scratched the back of his head. "Haha, I'm a twenty-year veteran driver."
"Master, please get out of the car." He opened the car door and gestured for him to get out.
After seeing the master off, he immediately went to say goodbye to his family.
Lin Xi got out of the car and gave him a deep look. "Humans and ghosts are different, and the realms of Yin and Yang are separate. The Yin energy on your body can harm ordinary people, and the Yang energy on people can also harm you."
"Since you drove me here, I'll take you to the underworld as travel expenses."
The ghost driver's heart skipped a beat.
The master is indeed a master; he saw through what was on his mind at a glance.
He knelt down immediately, saying, "Master, I can't bear to leave my wife and five-year-old daughter."
The ghost driver's name is Zhao Long, and he and his family of three live in a small, dilapidated rented room.
He had little formal education and drove a taxi to support his family.
Zhao Long has only one wish in his life: to earn more money so that his wife and daughter can live a better life.
That night, he drove home in his taxi, with his daughter's favorite toy, SpongeBob SquarePants, on the passenger seat.
Zhao Long grinned foolishly as he drove home.
We'll be home after we cross that bridge. My daughter will be so happy to see the big yellow sponge.
But halfway there, the bridge broke.
Zhao Long and his car fell into the water.
He died, never to see his wife and daughter again.
Zhao Long became a ghost, and every day he drives a taxi, going around in circles on the same road.
He deliberately drew SpongeBob SquarePants all over the outside of his car, hoping someone would recognize him.
"Waaaaah..."
Zhao Long cried miserably, tears streaming down his face.
He grabbed Lin Xi's trouser leg, sniffling repeatedly, "Master, my daughter is only five years old, she lost her father when she was only five..."
Lin Xi waved away the dirty hand, "Alright, stop crying, the more you cry, the uglier you'll look."
Zhao Long wiped away his tears, took out a crumpled SpongeBob SquarePants toy, and stuffed it into her hand.
"Master, I don't want to hurt my wife and daughter. Can you pass on a message to me?"
"Tell my wife that I love her very much, and I hope she won't be too heartbroken. I'm willing to remarry if she meets the right person..."
Lin Xi interrupted him, "Stop."
Zhao Long thought the master found him too long-winded, so he sped up and finished speaking in one breath.
"Master, the last sentence is: there's a secret stash of 30,000 yuan hidden under the sofa."
Lin Xi: "..."
This is the key point.
She said, "I'll send you into a dream; you can say these things yourself."
Zhao Long was overjoyed, "Master, really?"
"Master, you are amazing. You are the strongest person I have ever met."
Zhao Long flattered Lin Xi so much that she felt embarrassed.
She lifted her chin. "I learned such a simple spell when I was three years old."
Zhao Long gave a thumbs up, "The master is indeed extraordinary, exceptionally intelligent..."
Lin Xi made a hand seal with her hands, "Alright, let's hurry up, there are only three hours until dawn."
As Zhao Long's figure gradually disappeared, he shouted, "Goodbye, Master! I will repay your kindness even after you die, serving you like a slave in the afterlife!"
Lin Xi: There's absolutely no need for that.
She can't bear to hear the word "death" now, because she really is dying.
But we didn't see a single hair of the person the master mentioned.
