Another sleepless night. Gu Jingchen smoked heavily in his room, and he heard Su Ning leaving outside.
He smoked for an unknown amount of time before opening the door and going out.
When Zhang Ma, who was directing the other servants to clean outside the door, saw Gu Jingchen come out, she immediately put on a fawning smile.
"Mr. Gu, breakfast is ready."
Gu Jingchen did not answer. He turned his head to look behind him, his gaze falling on the door of the guest room. His heartstrings were plucked, and he lifted his foot to stop in front of Su Ning's door.
The room hadn't been tidied up yet; apart from the bed being a bit messy, it looked clean and tidy.
"Madam went out early this morning."
Aunt Zhang came over and secretly observed Gu Jingchen's expression; she had been feeling very guilty these past two days.
Last time, Qiao Yimo came over and not only picked up Su Ning from "Yan Yu Gui" to attend the banquet, but also added her on WeChat.
