Su Ning looked helplessly at her phone screen, which had gone black. The elevator doors opened, and she was about to press the button on her wheelchair to get out when she inadvertently looked up and saw the floor buttons next to the elevator.
Gu Jingchen's apartment is on the 18th floor, and she just pressed "18" when she reached out.
Perhaps it was a coincidence, but Su Ning suppressed her doubts, got out of the elevator and went into her apartment, unaware that the car downstairs had only started moving and left after she had safely returned home.

Under the light, a piece of white paper on the dining table stood out.
As Gu Jingchen approached, he realized that this was not a blank sheet of paper, but a hand-drawn design.
The ring on the paper looks simple, but the gemstone pattern in the middle is intricate. The artist drew it very meticulously, and the whole work can be described as "exquisite".
As he was engrossed in watching, he heard a noise behind him. Gu Jingchen turned his head slightly, and the wheels of the wheelchair came into view.
Su Ning pushed the wheelchair out, and it really was Gu Jingchen. On the second day of their marriage, he left early in the morning and returned late at night—how much did he dislike her!
However, she had more important things to do than Gu Jingchen.
Su Ning glanced at the photos she had just taken on her phone with satisfaction. She looked up casually, and the man's cold gaze shot over her, making her tremble and almost drop her phone.
"Good evening, Mr. Gu."
Su Ning quickly composed herself, gripped her phone tightly in her hand, and greeted Gu Jingchen with a smile.
Gu Jingchen frowned and asked, "Were you waiting for me?"
"I just finished drawing it and forgot to bring it back to my room." Su Ning's smile deepened. Yes, she was waiting for Gu Jingchen.
Without Gu Jingchen's cooperation tonight, how can tomorrow's interview be successful?
Following her words, Gu Jingchen looked at the hand-drawn sketch in his hand, then at the phone that Su Ning was holding, and paused thoughtfully for a few seconds.
"Mr. Gu, give this back to me."
Su Ning pushed the wheelchair to him and said.
Gu Jingchen snapped out of his thoughts and asked calmly, "What are you planning to do? Apply for a job at a jewelry design company?"
He made a sound, staring intently at Su Ning with deep eyes. In the quiet night, Su Ning was unconsciously drawn into his gaze, as if she saw familiar tenderness and doting in his eyes.
"Su Ning, your confidence is laughable."
The cold voice came again, abruptly pulling her back from her reverie. When she looked at Gu Jingchen again, there was no tenderness in his eyes; he was clearly looking at her with a mocking gaze.
"A useless person like you, where does your confidence come from that any company would hire you?"
Su Ning smiled and replied politely, "Isn't my confidence given to me by you, Mr. Gu?"
"Mr. Gu seems to have said something similar last night."
He said, "Where did he get the confidence to marry her?!"
Finally, she got married.
"Su Ning!"
Su Ning's rebuttal made Gu Jingchen's face darken even more. "Stop with your little schemes. No matter which company you want to join, let me tell you, it's impossible!"
With that, Gu Jingchen crumpled the manuscript into a ball and threw it into the trash can next to the dining table.
"Your work is similar to these things!"
Gu Jingchen pointed at the trash in the bin and said sarcastically in a cold voice.
