How could Mr. Gu allow Gu Jingchen to say such a thing, especially with the Xu family present?
"Gu Jingchen, if you cause any more trouble, get out of the Gu family."
He couldn't possibly abandon this son; he was his only son, and this son was exceptionally talented in business, far surpassing his father in ability.
"Gu Rui!"
Gu Jingchen casually tossed the stick in his hand to the ground, took out a cigarette from his pocket, and started smoking it in the main hall of the Gu family home.
"Ningning is my wife! No one can lay a finger on her, including you!"
His arrogant and indifferent demeanor infuriated Mr. Gu, causing him chest pain.
"Also, don't let me find out that Ningning's car accident back then was related to you, or I will personally send you to prison."
After speaking, Gu Jingchen turned his head and inadvertently glanced at Mr. Xu on the stairs. He paused for a moment, then turned and left the Gu family home.
"You unfilial son!"
When Mr. Gu saw Gu Jingchen leave like that, his blood pressure rose so high that he fainted.
Madam Gu hurriedly asked the servants to call the family doctor. When she escorted Mr. Xu back to his room, she thought of Mr. and Mrs. Xu and looked at them apologetically.
"Mr. Xu, Mrs. Xu."
Madam Xu went over and took Mr. Xu's hand, "Madam Gu, you go ahead and do your work."
"Alright!" After Madam Gu left apologetically, Madam Xu and Mr. Xu drove out of the Gu family home. When the car arrived at the main gate of the Gu family home, they saw that the gate had been severely damaged. She shook her head and sighed softly, "This Gu Jingchen is really frightening."
Is it worth it to ruin your family like this for a woman, to make your elder sister faint from anger, and to make Mr. Gu sick from anger?
"Such a man is devoted to one person."
Mr. Xu smiled faintly, turned his head and looked through the car window at the Gu family's main gate, pondering, "We should think about how to make him give up Su Ning!"
"Um!"
Inside the Gu family home, Gu Ran woke up. Before she could even begin to recount Gu Jingchen's crimes, the police arrived and accused her of hiring someone to commit murder.
They bought a hotel waitress, but killed Su Ning.
Su Ning rolled down the stairs, which was clearly intended to kill her.
Gu Ran cried out that it had nothing to do with her, but Old Madam Gu was at the temple eating vegetarian food and chanting Buddhist prayers and had not returned. Mr. Gu had fainted and was still unconscious. The proud Gu Ran could only be taken away by the police in a sorry state.
That night, everyone at the Gu family banquet was talking about it. The Gu residence was in chaos, and all the servants were like frightened birds.
When Gu Jingchen returned, Su Ning had already been sent back to her ward.
Mu An'an and Lu Cheng were guarding the room when they saw Gu Jingchen enter, and they felt as if they had been transported to another world.
Within just a few hours, his eyes were red-rimmed, he looked haggard, and there was an indescribable sense of distress about him.
"You all go back, I'll stay here with Ningning."
Mu An'an glanced at Su Ning, who was fast asleep on the bed, and didn't want to leave.
"I want to be here..."
"An'an," Lu Cheng continued, picking up where Mu An'an left off. "Let Jing Chen stay here with you; I'll take you back to rest."
The little girl cried for a long time, which pained Lu Cheng. Besides, their presence here wouldn't serve any purpose.
"She's only happy when she wakes up."
Lu Cheng didn't talk much, but what he said made sense to Mu An'an.
"good!"
After she followed Lu Cheng out, she stood at the door for a while.
