Chapter 434 Going to the Su Residence

One should not waste their entire life for another person.

Su Ning is a very stubborn person; once she makes a decision, she won't easily change it.

In fact, she was also a heartless person.

After ending her call with Chu Feng, Su Ning sat by the window for a while, holding her phone.

A cool breeze blew in, instantly waking her up, yet her mind remained foggy. This was her state now; no matter how the outside world changed, she could fall into a deep sleep at any moment.

Leaving Nancheng and leaving Gu Jingchen was inevitable.

However, before leaving, she thought of going somewhere.

The Su Residence!

That's where Su Ning grew up; her earliest memories are from this place.

Her relatives, her maternal grandparents, and her mother all accompanied her as she grew up in the Su family home.

Although in the end, Su Xincheng married Qiao Zhentian, and her wonderful life turned into a complete disaster, and although she lost both legs and her future, she still wanted to go back and see him one last time.

She told Sister An, and Sister An immediately went with her.

Ya Ya had something to do these past two days and asked Gu Jingchen for leave.

This was agreed to by Su Ning. With Ya Ya around, if Gu Jingchen discovers anything amiss, she might not be able to leave.

However, Ya Ya's absence also poses a significant safety hazard to her due to her physical limitations.

Sister An and the driver brought Su Ning back, and Aunt Chen came out to greet Su Ning and take her inside.

"Miss Ning, what brings you here?"

Chen Ma thought Su Ning had come to see Su Xincheng, and asked with a smile.

"I'm going to visit my maternal grandfather."

Su Ning replied that she wanted to visit the Su residence and see her maternal grandfather.

As for Su Xincheng, she didn't think that way.

"I'll go tell the young lady."

Aunt Chen said with a smile that no matter what, she was happy to see Su Ning come over for both Su Xincheng and Su Ning.

No matter how badly the mother and daughter argued before, they could never truly break off their relationship.

They are related by blood, and each other is the other's only relative.

Su Ning didn't stop her. Even if Chen Ma didn't say anything, the other servants would tell Su Xincheng.

Su Ning went directly to her maternal grandfather's place, which had been empty since the old man passed away.

In just over a month, this place has become much more desolate.

Su Ning asked Sister An to stay outside while she went inside to wait.

Before leaving, she had so much to say to Grandpa Su.

The cottage was very clean inside, and the servants must come here often.

As soon as Su Ning went inside, she looked up and saw the old man's portrait hanging on the wall. Tears welled up in her eyes and rolled down her cheeks.

"Grandpa!"

With tears in her eyes, Su Ning called out, "I've come to say goodbye to you."

"No!"

We'll be meeting soon.

She will soon meet her grandfather in the afterlife.

After speaking, Su Ning fell silent. She had said too much, but now she didn't know what to say to Grandpa Su.

And so it was, she sat quietly here in her wheelchair.

As she pushed the cart into the old man's bedroom, her feelings became extremely complicated.

"Ningning!"

Su Xincheng's voice followed, and the sound of her high heels tapped against Su Ning's heart.

Su Ning turned around and saw Su Xincheng looking at her with a smile.

"Ningning, you're here."

Su Xincheng was both excited and nervous; she really hadn't expected Su Ning to come to the Su residence.

"I've come to see my grandfather."

Su Ning said calmly.

Su Xincheng nodded. Regardless of who Su Ning came to see, Su Xincheng was happy to see her.

"Ningning, let's go to the front hall to talk. It's too cold here at your grandfather's place."
