Chapter 836 Madam Fu's Attitude

However, after Chu Feng finished speaking, Madam Fu was stunned, and Fu Yunmo beside her couldn't help but laugh.

Chu Feng looked at Fu Yunmo in confusion. What was he laughing at, and why was he laughing so happily?

Am I wrong?

"Chuchu, even if my mom doesn't like you, she wouldn't give you a card in front of me," Fu Yunmo said with a smile.

Chu Feng's actions and words made him want to laugh, and as a result, his expression towards her became even more tender.

"We'll see." Fu Yunmo grasped Chu Feng's hand and made her sit down. "You're carrying her golden grandson."

“If you get angry and abort the child, when will she ever be able to hold her grandson?”

Upon hearing Fu Yunmo's words, Chu Feng realized that things were different for her now; she was carrying Fu Yunmo's child.

Why am I so nervous today? I keep saying the wrong thing.

But what did Mrs. Fu mean by giving her the bank card?

"A good imagination," Mrs. Fu said calmly, taking a sip of tea, "but not much of a brain."

"You married Fu Yunmo, what does that have to do with me? Why should I like you?"

Madam Fu's rebuttal stunned Chu Feng.

It's completely different from what I imagined.

Doesn't the Fu family care about social status?

Doesn't Madam Fu need her son to marry a better heiress?

Looking at Chu Feng's puzzled eyes, Madam Fu continued, "This card is for you to buy clothes."

"Knowing full well that you're coming to see me, Fu Yunmo doesn't take you to the mall to buy some nice clothes."

So that's how it is.

Chu Feng breathed a sigh of relief; she wasn't as nervous as she had been at the beginning.

“I know you’ll give Mom money to spend, so of course I won’t go shopping with her,” Fu Yunmo chimed in, smiling as he said to Chu Feng. “Take the card, and ask Mom for more when you’re done.”

"Oh," Chu Feng replied thoughtfully, looking at the card in his hand.

The meeting was completely different from what I had imagined.

Looking at Madam Fu again, she still had a cold expression and no smile.

Next, the three of them ate their meal attentively. Fu Yunmo and Chu Feng chatted at the table, with Fu Yunmo occasionally asking Madam Fu a question or two.

After finishing her meal, Madam Fu stood up and said, "Alright, I've seen the person and finished my meal. I'm leaving now."

With that, Mrs. Fu walked out of the private room first.

Chu Feng got up to see her off, intending to escort her downstairs, but Fu Yunmo stopped him.

"You haven't finished eating yet."

This means that Chu Feng did not finish his meal and therefore did not need to send it to Madam Fu.

Chu Feng was worried that Madam Fu would be unhappy and think she was impolite. She tried to follow her, but Madam Fu at the door raised her hand to refuse, saying, "We're family, no need for formalities."

This statement revealed Madam Fu's attitude. Chu Feng did not insist and returned to the private room for dinner.

When Mrs. Fu was here, she ate very elegantly and slowly.

As the young master of Chu, she can't be too elegant when eating out, otherwise she'll seem like a woman.

She needs to eat more roughly.

So when she was with Madam Fu, she tried her best to be elegant.

Sometimes, being a woman is harder than being a man.

"Eat more." Fu Yunmo put some food into her bowl. He could tell that Chu Feng was nervous and didn't dare to eat much in front of Madam Fu.

"Why did your mother leave so quickly?" Chu Feng asked in confusion, even though there were no problems with her family situation or work.

"She has seen him."

Fu Yunmo replied with a smile, "Satisfied."

Chu Feng blushed upon hearing this, "But she didn't ask about my situation."

"No need," Fu Yunmo replied with a smile. "It's my decision to marry a wife; it has nothing to do with her."

"She just needs to wait to hold her grandson."
