Lu Chi raised an eyebrow, looking somewhat nonchalant.

Mu Xiaocheng twitched the corners of her mouth, about to retort, when she saw Ji Huaishen appear at the front door.
He was impeccably dressed in a suit, with a cold and stern expression; his handsome, chiseled face was as cold as ice.
He strode confidently to Mu Xiaocheng's side, his long legs carrying him with steady steps. Then, he lazily opened his eyes and asked, "Are you really going to investigate?"
Lu Chi nodded and said in a businesslike manner, "I'm sorry, this is an order from above."
Ji Huaishen's eyebrows twitched, and he gave a cold, curving smile.
Just then, Lu Chi's phone rang.
He turned to the side, took out his phone, and answered the call.
All I heard him say on the other end of the phone was, "Yes."
Then he hung up the phone.
Suddenly, he turned around and his gaze fell on Ji Huaishen.
Take a step closer to him.
With a smirk playing on his lips, exuding an arrogant and roguish air, he lowered his voice and said in a volume only they could hear, "If you really are the man behind those guys, I will definitely not let you off the hook."
Upon hearing his warning, Ji Huaishen lowered his eyes indifferently, chuckled lightly, and remained nonchalant.
Clearly, they didn't take his words to heart.

Lu Chi didn't linger. The order came down from above, telling him to go back immediately and stop the investigation.

"Big brother, I'm leaving."
He shouted loudly at Mu Xiaocheng and then quickly left.
