Chapter 57 Obtaining the Marriage Certificate

Ji Huaishen was right. Sure enough, the people at the Civil Affairs Bureau didn't get a day off today, as expected.

Mu Xiaocheng didn't care too much, after all, the other party was Ji Huaishen.

Once the two entered the Civil Affairs Bureau, someone led them to obtain their certificates.

The staff at the Civil Affairs Bureau handed them the "Application for Marriage Registration" and said in a businesslike manner, "Mr. and Mrs. Ji, please fill out this form."

Mrs. Ji?

Please forgive Mu Xiaocheng for not getting used to this title yet.

It's quite embarrassing to be called that.

She lowered her head, picked up a pen from the table, and tried to hide the embarrassment on her face.

Sitting next to her, Ji Huaishen remained calm and composed, his deep eyes undisturbed, exuding a languid nobility.

With slender hands holding a pen, she carefully filled out the form.

Mu Xiaocheng secretly glanced at Ji Huaishen.

This man is really more charming when he gets serious.

Suddenly, she glanced at his hand and saw two small red rashes on the back of his fair hand.

She moved her lips slightly and asked in a low voice, "Mr. Ji, your hand..."

It's rather abrupt and a bit of a killjoy to suddenly have two red rashes appear on such beautiful hands.

Ji Huaishen followed her gaze to the back of his hand, smiled nonchalantly, his expression gentle and handsome.

"I got bitten by a little bug."

"Oh." Mu Xiaocheng nodded, seemingly believing but not quite. Ji Huaishen didn't live in some remote mountain forest, so where would he get so many bugs?

Mu Xiaocheng, who grew up in a family of doctors, pursed her lips. Those little red rashes looked like they were caused by an allergy.

Mu Xiaocheng shook her head, focused her attention on the application form, and quickly filled it out.

The staff member took the forms back, glanced at them, and then said, "Please check your information and then sign your names."

Ji Huaishen didn't hesitate and signed his name in a carefree manner.

But Mu Xiaocheng was a little timid at this moment.

She kept asking herself: Did she really marry herself off so easily?

Although it was just a transaction, but...

She can never get over that hurdle in her heart.

Ji Huaishen looked at her furrowed brows and her conflicted little face. He parted his thin lips slightly, his voice low and pleasant.

"If you haven't made up your mind yet, we can come back another time."

His tone and voice sounded just like a gentle and considerate boyfriend.

The staff members standing nearby couldn't help but look at Mu Xiaocheng.

Miss Mu must have done something really good in her past life to be able to marry Mr. Ji, and Mr. Ji is so gentle and considerate towards her.

Mu Xiaocheng looked at him. His eyes were sincere, and his deep eyes were unfathomable, yet they gave people a sense of inexplicable peace of mind.

She sighed silently.

Then, he bowed his head and signed his name in the applicant's section.

Ji Huaishen watched her finish writing. Although his face remained calm and he was dignified and elegant, his hands, hanging at his sides, were already soaked with sweat.

Yes, he was more nervous than anyone else.

He was afraid, and she temporarily backed down.

After Mu Xiaocheng finished signing, she felt much more relaxed.

After the staff received the application form, they went through several more procedures.

Marriage certificate, officially stamped.

Looking at the red booklet in her hand, Mu Xiaocheng suddenly felt a little nervous.

She bit her lower lip and suddenly shoved the notebook in her hand into Ji Huaishen's hand.

"Um, Mr. Ji, could you please keep this for me for now?"

She didn't want to see that thing; seeing it made her feel suffocated.

Ji Huaishen raised his eyebrows with a dashing air.

Holding the marriage certificate in his hand, he parted his thin lips and said, "Miss Mu, I think we should practice first."
