Chapter 571 Will You Always Be Good to Me?

After finishing his work, Ji Huaishen rubbed his nose wearily, closed his laptop, and went back to his room.

But when he opened the door, he saw that the bedside lamp was on.

Mu Xiaocheng was lying in bed, playing on her phone.

Ji Huaishen frowned slightly, then relaxed.

Is he here to challenge him again?

Hearing the noise at the door, Mu Xiaocheng quickly put down her phone and looked towards the doorway.

Seeing Ji Huaishen casually take off his suit jacket and hang it on the hanger, he looked somewhat tired, but his fair and handsome face appeared even more gentle and charming under the light.

"Is everything finished?"

She blinked, her gaze so pure.

Ji Huai nodded and walked to the bedside.

She was wearing pajamas, all fluffy, and her small body was huddled inside, looking just like a little child.

Can't sleep?

He asked casually, but in his heart, a storm was brewing.

Mu Xiaocheng puffed out her cheeks, her big eyes brimming with tears, and answered earnestly, "No."

Upon hearing her answer, Ji Huaishen paused, his gaze fixed intently on her.

Mu Xiaocheng licked her lower lip, lowered her head, clutched the blanket in front of her with both hands, and said timidly, "Ji Huaishen, you will always be good to me, right?"

Ji Huaishen's gaze darkened; he knew what she meant.

At this moment, both body and soul began to clamor.

"right."

His voice was hoarse, and he stood there, stunned and at a loss.

Hearing his answer, Mu Xiaocheng smiled, took a step forward, and hugged his neck.

Early in the morning, Chi Yan originally wanted to go see Ji Huaishen, but was told by Shang Qi that he had something to discuss.

His brother Shen still hasn't gotten up.

"That's really strange. My brother always gets up early without fail, his life is as regular as a robot. Why is he sleeping in today?"

Shang Qi maintained a stern expression, coughed lightly, and said coldly, "Madam is also inside."

In that case, Young Master Chi should know by now.

"Oh~"

A meaningful smile tugged at the corner of Chi Yan's lips. It really wasn't easy.

Tsk tsk tsk, after all the waiting comes the light, Brother Shen has had a tough time.

He winked at Shang Qi: "Looks like I'll soon have a little nephew to play with."

For once, Shang Qi's expression softened slightly, his look a half-smile.

The gentleman had suffered so much before, and now he was holding onto this glimmer of hope, and thankfully it has arrived.

Having been with her husband for so many years, she was happy for him.

Just then, a familiar figure appeared at the gate.

Lou Quzheng, dressed in his mink coat and followed by two bodyguards, swaggered into the living room like a mafia boss.

"Hey, you two are chatting here? What are you talking about?"

Lou Quzheng sat on the sofa as soon as he came in, acting as if he were a member of the family.

Chi Yan stared at him, her tone puzzled: "Uncle, what brings you here? Is something wrong?"

"Can't I come if there's nothing wrong?"

Lou Quzheng retorted arrogantly, dissatisfied.

He came to see Xiao Cheng and told her some things.
