Chapter 21 Remember to Think of Me

"I never realized you were so innocent before."

"What can you see?"

Jiang Yiyu picked up his cell phone and turned on the camera. He aimed the lens at the cereal and coffee in front of him, and under Song Ming's gaze as if he were a fool, he took a bite of the boiled egg that Song Shengsheng had peeled for him. Holding it in his hand, he found an angle and pressed the shutter, and even adjusted a filter for the photo.

Then he placed his phone flat on the table without any hesitation, ate eggs, opened WeChat, and sent the photo to Song Shengsheng.

Song Ming glanced at his phone screen and frowned. "Damn, Jiang Yiyu, you can't be that serious. Song Shengsheng has only been gone for a few minutes. She probably hasn't even left the gate of the community yet, and you're already sending her messages. Aren't you annoying her?"

"Will it?" Jiang Yiyu looked up at him and said, "I think it's good, but you also reminded me that I have to replace the privacy screen protector for my phone."

Song Ming felt his head hurt even more. "My sister doesn't like being clingy, and she also doesn't like being nagged."

"Oh." Jiang Yiyu waved his phone at him disapprovingly: "But she replied to me. It seems that the situation you described should also be different for different people."

"Do you love me that much?"

"What do you think?" Jiang Yiyu put down his phone and checked the time. "It's almost eight o'clock. Can you ask your assistant to pick you up earlier? It's so noisy."

"Jiang Yiyu!"

"What are you doing? What's this about who's the loudest? I don't want to waste time talking to you. Just eat and get out of here. Don't be a light bulb here."

Song Ming stared at him for a while, wondering: "Are you acting?"

"Do you think I'm like you, who likes to play with little girls when I have nothing to do? To put it bluntly, Song Ming, you just don't trust me."

The two looked at each other for a moment, and Song Ming sighed helplessly, retracting his gaze from Jiang Yiyu: "If you are pretending, you'd better pretend for the rest of your life."

After breakfast, Song Ming and Jiang Yiyu went to the kitchen one after another to wash the dishes they had used.

Jiang Yiyu kept holding his cell phone and sending a message to Song Shengsheng every ten minutes or so. He even took a photo of drinking a glass of water and sent it to her. Song Ming really couldn't stand him and called his assistant twice. He left Song Shengsheng's house before 8:30.

After Song Ming left, Jiang Yiyu sent Song Shengsheng a final message: Your brother is finally gone. When will you come back? I don’t want to be alone.

He thought Song Shengsheng must be busy because she hadn't replied.

The house became completely quiet. Jiang Yiyu sat on the sofa bored for a while. About half an hour later, he opened his phone and took another look. Song Shengsheng still hadn't replied.

Jiang Yi Yu sighed, stood up, walked into the bedroom, changed the bedding that Song Ming had slept on last night, packed them together and threw them into the washing machine, then dragged several of his large suitcases to the shoe cabinet in the entrance hall.

He stood at the bathroom door in the living room, looked around, and found that the tissues on the coffee table were gone. He remembered that Song Shengsheng said that these daily necessities were stored in the utility room. Jiang Yiyu turned around, took two steps forward, and pushed open the door of the utility room.

He turned on the light and searched the utility room for a while, but didn't see any tissues.

He wondered if the tissues would be placed together with the toilet paper rolls. With this thought in mind, he walked straight to the cardboard box that Song Shengsheng had placed in the corner, which was said to have been damaged by violent transportation.

He bent over and tore at the tape that was tangled up on the box for a long time, but he couldn't tear it off. "The package has been messed up like this. I can definitely file a claim."

Jiang Yiyu returned to the living room and found a pair of scissors in the drawer of the TV cabinet. He took them back to the utility room and carefully used the scissors to cut the tape along the gap of the cardboard box. However, as soon as the box was opened, before he could react, a pillow with anime characters printed on it "popped" out.

When he got closer to take a closer look, he was shocked. He put down the scissors, picked up the pillow, and took a closer look. It was... him!

He is still disheveled...

Jiang Yi Yu didn't dare to look at it any longer. He quickly stuffed the pillow back in, found some tape, sealed the box again, and pushed it back to its original place.

There are some things that he thinks it is better for him to pretend he doesn't know.

At about half past eleven, Song Shengsheng pushed open the door carrying two bags of fruit snacks.

At that time, Jiang Yiyu was standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window in the living room and answering a call from Xiao Chen.

Song Shengsheng changed her shoes, lowered her footsteps, walked to the living room, put down the shopping bags and backpack in her hands, walked to Jiang Yiyu, and tugged at the corner of his sleeve.

Jiang Yiyu looked down at her and smiled, then said to Xiao Chen, "Okay, I understand. I've packed everything. Come pick me up at 12:30."

After saying that, he hummed twice and hung up the phone.

"My dear, you are finally back." Jiang Yiyu held Song Shengsheng's hand: "I want to hug you."

Song Shengsheng nodded, and he leaned over and hugged her gently: "I really have to leave soon."

"Well, I'll wait for you to come back." Song Shengsheng raised her hand and hugged him back.

"Will you miss me?"

"Yes." Song Shengsheng smiled: "Brother Yi Yu, you are so clingy!"

Jiang Yiyu's whole body stiffened. He suddenly recalled what Song Ming said in the morning: Song Shengsheng didn't like being clingy. His heart suddenly tightened.

Song Shengsheng also noticed his abnormality and patted him on the back: "What's wrong with you?"

"Nothing, I was just wondering if I was annoying you a little."

"Ah? No, how could that be?"

"real?"

"Really? I'm not lying to you. Besides, isn't that what love is all about? You want to stay with the person you love forever, right? Brother Yi Yu, don't think too much."
