Chapter 31 Only Acting Coquettishly with You

"It's really getting late."

Song Shengsheng put down the water bottle in his hand, stood up, bent down and put the takeout box on the coffee table back into the bag: "Brother Yi Yu, give me the bag from the convenience store as well. I'll put the empty water bottle on the table in it and throw it away together tomorrow."

Jiang Yiyu's body froze. He subconsciously reached out and touched the plastic bag hidden behind him: "I'll keep this bag for another use. There's a garbage bag in the coffee table drawer."

Although Song Shengsheng knew what else was hidden in the bag behind him, after testing it out, she also realized that Jiang Yiyu did not want to tell her what was in the bag.

Adhering to the principle that asking everything will only hurt oneself, Song Shengsheng tactfully chose to know nothing.

Jiang Yiyu also breathed a sigh of relief. He stood up, pinched the plastic bag hidden behind him in his hand, cleared his throat, looked at Song Shengsheng who was busy cleaning the table, and said calmly: "I'll go back to the bedroom first."

"Um."

Song Shengsheng looked at Jiang Yiyu's extremely unnatural back, smiled, and finally set his eyes on the white plastic bag in his hand.

The bag was crumpled into a ball, but it was more obvious that there was actually a small square paper box hidden inside.

As for what the box contained, Song Shengsheng knew it clearly.

She felt that when two people were together and their relationship was steadily heating up, some things should just take their course and there was nothing to be shy about.

After cleaning up the garbage, Song Shengsheng went to the bathroom to take a shower. After that, she took two facial masks back to the bedroom.

As soon as she walked in, she saw Jiang Yiyu hurriedly closing the drawer of the bedside table, then smiled at her guiltily.

She pretended not to notice his panic, walked straight to her side, lifted the quilt and got into bed: "Let's put on a face mask together!"

She shook the mask in her hand towards Jiang Yiyu: "I recently discovered this little treasure mask, it works great. You wear makeup every day, so you must pay attention to your skin care, otherwise even the best foundation will age."

Jiang Yiyu looked at the facial mask in her hand, frowned and smiled. He moved closer to Song Shengsheng and pointed at his face: "Help me."

Song Shengsheng put down a face mask, turned to face him, tore open the bag of another one, took out the mask and carefully spread it on his face. She then expertly poured out the remaining essence water from the mask bag and gently patted it on the mask. "No talking, no laughing, keep it on for fifteen minutes."

Jiang Yiyu nodded. He leaned against the headboard and looked at Song Shengsheng wearing a pink fox ears headband. He couldn't help but reach out and pinch it. Song Shengsheng finished applying the mask, looked back at him, and said vaguely with a tense expression: "Don't touch my ears, pink gets dirty easily."

Jiang Yiyu couldn't help laughing out loud. When he laughed, the mask on his face wrinkled. Song Shengsheng hurriedly helped him smooth it out while warning him, "We agreed not to laugh."

"My dear, why are you so cute?"

"You are not allowed to speak either."

Jiang Yiyu calmed down and pinched Song Shengsheng's ear again. Song Shengsheng pulled down his hand and held it tightly: "Behave yourself!"

Jiang Yiyu took advantage of the situation and pulled her into his arms, holding her shoulders: "Dear, can you stay with me for a few more days?"

"No, I just took three days off."

"Then can you spare some time to come and see me again next month?"

Song Shengsheng shook his head: "Plans can't keep up with changes. I can't make any promises to you in advance."

"It's May holiday, so you'll be free, right?"

"We'll see then. I'll come when I have time."

Jiang Yiyu sighed, "Long-distance relationships are so annoying."

Song Shengsheng patted his hand and said, "Emperor Jiang, please focus on filming and stop being in love. As a career fan, I really don't like to hear you say you have no ambition!"

"Can you change your nature and become my girlfriend's fan?"

Song Shengsheng shook his head: "No, I don't like changing attributes."

"Why? Am I not good-looking enough in your eyes?"

Song Shengsheng slowly frowned. She peeled off the mask on her face, turned to look at Jiang Yiyu, and said seriously, "Relying on looks to make a living won't last long. Don't you think about the entertainment industry? It's so fast-paced and there's never a shortage of handsome men and beautiful women. If you tell me to like a celebrity just because of their looks, then I have a lot of crushes, and it's not just limited to male celebrities."

"Um?"

"Who doesn't like good-looking people?"

Jiang Yiyu was stunned for a moment. He put down his arm that was around Song Shengsheng's shoulders, then took off the mask on his face and stuffed it into her hand. With a serious expression, he wiped his face carelessly, turned off the lamp on the bedside table, lay down and turned over with his back to her: "No more chatting, I'm going to sleep."

Song Shengsheng glanced at the extra facial mask in her hand and clicked her tongue: "You asked me this yourself, and you're still angry." She put the facial mask back into the bag, got up from the bed and went to the bathroom.

More than ten minutes later, when she came out of the bathroom, she saw Jiang Yiyu staring at her with a serious expression.

"What's wrong with you? Why are you looking at me like that?" Song Shengsheng lay down beside him and covered himself with the quilt.

Jiang Yiyu turned over, facing her, with his arms bent to support his head: "I feel like you're showing signs of infidelity."

"What's going on? Brother Yi Yu, why are you always thinking about all this nonsense? If I really had the signs of infidelity you mentioned, you wouldn't be lying next to me right now."

Jiang Yiyu's expression became even more rigid: "See, I knew you weren't loyal."

"I'm not loyal?" Song Shengsheng also imitated his posture and faced him, propping up her head with her arm, and said with a smile: "We have known each other for twelve years, why haven't we been together yet? You should ask yourself this question more often. If you had been more proactive, you wouldn't have wasted so many years. You might even have broken up and gotten back together several times."
