Chapter 38 Miss Him

Jiang Yiyu paused while wiping his hair. He lowered his eyes to look at the phone on the sink and smiled. "If you don't want to say I like you, then just say I love you. But what's wrong with you?"

"I just want to listen and act coquettishly with you." Song Shengsheng buried her face in the pillow in her arms: "You continue to clean up, I'll accompany you."

"good."

Song Shengsheng looked at him, dried his hair with a hair dryer, applied skin care products, and casually put on a loose white T-shirt, letting the hem down to cover the butterfly on his waist. Jiang Yiyu picked up his mobile phone, turned off the bathroom light, pushed the door and walked into the bedroom where the lights were not on.

His footsteps sounded heavy in the darkness.

"Why don't you turn on the lights again?"

"I'm ready to go to bed, so I won't turn it on. This will save the hotel money on electricity." Jiang Yiyu threw back the quilt and got into bed. He placed his phone on the phone holder on the bedside table to charge it, and then he lay on his side, hugging the quilt and looking at Song Shengsheng on the phone screen: "Dear, let's sleep together like this."

"Okay." Song Shengsheng saw Jiang Xiaoguai, who was sitting above his head, wearing a blue crawling suit and a small eye mask. This time, the little bear finally stopped facing the wall.

"I'll count to three, two, one, and we'll close our eyes together."

"good."

Jiang Yiyu said softly, smiling, "Three."

"two."

"One o'clock eight, one o'clock five..."

Song Shengsheng chuckled twice and slowly closed his eyes: "One!"

After a few seconds, she secretly raised her eyelids and saw Jiang Yiyu smiling at her with his eyes open.

"Brother Yi Yu, you are not listening!"

Jiang Yiyu buried his face in the pillow and closed his eyes: "I'll be obedient now."

Song Shengsheng looked at him quietly. Not long after, her eyelids began to droop. She gradually felt sleepy and fell asleep.

Jiang Yiyu reached out and gently stroked Song Shengsheng's sleeping face on the phone screen, smiled gently, whispered good night, and then hung up the phone.

On Saturday morning, Song Shengsheng persuaded Su Bei to drive over at noon in exchange for two hotpot meals to help her move all the things in the house that she didn't want Jiang Yiyu to see to the empty house that Song Ming usually didn't live in.

When Su Bei came, Song Shengsheng had borrowed a small cart from somewhere and was packing the posters and peripherals related to Jiang Yiyu that she had collected over the years from the study and moving them onto the cart.

Su Bei leaned on her desk and casually picked up the cotton doll with Jiang Yiyu's attributes lying on the table. She lifted the small leather jacket on the doll and took a look: "Are you going to put this thing away too?"

Song Shengsheng held his waist with his hands, stood up, and looked at her: "I won't accept that."

"Actually, I would say you don't need to accept these things. You should just let him see how much money and time you've spent on him over the years. Make him feel guilty, and he'll love you even more."

Song Shengsheng smiled at her: "Forget it, I don't want love that comes from guilt. And I feel that letting him know that I like him more than he thinks is a bit cheap. I'm afraid he will think that he can control me no matter what... I don't like that feeling."

"Why do you think so?"

Song Shengsheng pounded his lower back. "I have to thank Comrade Song Ming for his rich emotional experience. He taught me that in love, a girl should be reserved when giving her feelings. Love him 100%, tell him 30%, and keep 70%. It's a two-way relationship. Give him as much as he gives. That's fair."

"Your brother has played a huge role in shaping your outlook on love!"

"I can't help it. My brother is a scumbag who thinks he's affectionate."

Song Shengsheng sighed. She picked up a stack of magazines from the bookshelf and bent down to put them in the box. "There was a girl who dated him for six months. She loved him madly and thought my brother had invested a lot in their relationship just like her. In short, she was completely deceived by Song Ming's pretended affection and thought she was the chosen one who could make the prodigal son turn back. In the end, after a series of self-touching moments, she took the initiative to propose to my brother."

"Proposal?"

"Yeah, that's outrageous! She proposed to Song Ming and even set up a huge venue. She invited me, my brother's friends, and all her friends. Before we went, she told us it was a surprise for Song Ming and asked us not to tell anyone in advance. But when the appointed time came, my brother didn't show up, and not only that, he wouldn't answer the phone. I finally got through, and you know what that scumbag said?"

"What?"

Song Shengsheng cleared her throat, rolled up a magazine and used it as a microphone, putting it to her lips and imitating Song Ming's tone: "I'm sorry, I feel like we've both invested too much in this relationship, and it's progressing too quickly, which makes me a little panicked. And you know, I've never been a very secure person, so I think we need some time to calm down and replan our future."

"Fuck! What a scumbag! But didn't you warn her?"

"Of course I did! But she refused to listen. And how could she not know my brother's reputation? Finally, I figured it out. It's hard to persuade a damned ghost with kind words. Everyone has their own karma. As bystanders, it's best for us not to interfere too much with others' karma cultivation."

"So you think you can't give too much in a relationship, or at least you can't let the other person know you've given so much?"

"Well, and all these things were paid when I had a crush on him before. How should I put it, crushing on him was my own business, and I paid these purely to please myself. I was willing to do anything money could not buy. But now it's different. I'm with him. Whether as a couple or a husband and wife, we can't say that the contributions are equal, but the gap can't be too big, otherwise it will cause psychological burden to the other person. It's better for us to love each other from the same starting point."
